Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2028: The truth revealed

Chapter 2028: The truth revealed
It wasn’t hard to find a volunteer in the end.
Even though the ones that had been brought back looked afraid of the mermaids after what had happened, that didn’t diminish the feelings that they had when they first left this place.
They still wanted to see the outside world and now that we were telling them that they might still have a chance, naturally there was a part of them that wanted to take this chance.
Which was why there were a few volunteers that stepped forward to test the blood vaccine that I had created.
Of course, this was only done after we had confirmed that there was nothing inside of this that would harm them.
The base of the blood vaccine was something that had been created with the power of the divine, so it shouldn’t have been anything that would have harmed them. However, there was no telling what could be possible unless we were certain of this.
Which was why the sea witches carefully observed the ones that volunteered after we injected the blood vaccines into them.
In the end, it seemed like there was no reaction from them at all after they had been injected with the blood vaccine.
Though none of us were surprised to see this since this wasn’t something that could be cured overnight. This was something that would take time since they would have to adjust to the vaccines.
We would have to monitor them for a while before we were able to figure out if this blood vaccine that was created would actually work.
Or that would have been the case if not for…
“Well done, it seems like you’ve solved this problem.”
When this voice rang out, all of the members of the other races bowed their heads. After all, this voice belonged to the god that they worshipped, so it was only natural that they would act this way.
But the moment that I heard this voice, I couldn’t help knitting my brows.
Then turning to look at the throne, I narrowed my eyes to look at the blue ball of light that was sitting there.
Since we had heard the voice, it was only natural that there would be something that this voice had come from.
“Then will you keep your promise?” I asked the blue ball of light sitting there.
There was a long silence that lingered in the air before Aestum finally said, “Yes, since you’ve solved the problem that we’ve left you, you deserve to know the truth. However, this isn’t something that I can tell you on my own. Go and search for the one that all of this started with.”
I couldn’t help knitting my brows hearing this, but it didn’t seem like Aestum was going to say anything else.
With a flicker, the blue ball of light disappeared from atop the throne.
With how quick it disappeared, it really seemed like Aestum had just run away as if it was afraid to talk to me.
Since Aestum was gone, it wasn’t as if saying anything else would do anything. If I were to say anything, I would be saying to no one since there was no one there to listen.
I didn’t need to think to know who Aestum was referring to.
There was only one person…or rather one god that Aestum could be referring to.
Though there was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling a bit worried about whether that god would actually tell us anything.
After all, the last time that I talked to that god, they had thrown me out.
Still, this was the only piece of information that Aestum had given us and I had no choice but to take it.
Turning to look at the Merman King, he said with a nod, “Go back and find out the truth, I’ll take care of things here.”
I gave a nod back in response before heading back while being escorted by the royal guards.
When we arrived, the priests seemed to be waiting for us already.
It was as if they already knew that I would be coming and they showed me the way to the main temple.
They didn’t even act the way that they usually did where they looked like they wanted to come in with me to see what would happen. It was as if they had received some kind of oracle that told them what was happening, which was why they were allowing everything to happen.
Regardless of what happened, it did make things easier that they weren’t doing anything.
However, that was only when it came to the mortal side.
When it came to the divine side…
Once I was inside of the temple, there was a moment of silence before I was pulled into the divine realm.
When I was in the divine realm, I found that Aquaron was waiting for me.
Instead of their normal pose where they seemed like they were interested in something else and didn’t pay any attention to me, it was clear that their full attention was on me this time.
It seemed like there was something serious that they wanted to discuss with me.
Since they acted this way, I didn’t say anything as I waited for them to speak first.
“After everything that you’ve been through, you do deserve the truth.”
I was caught off guard by this since it was completely different from the normal Aquaron. At the same time, I didn’t think that Aquaron would admit something like this that easily.
I really thought that it would take some convincing before I would be able to get this from them.
However, Aquaron didn’t explain right away as they waved their hand.
When they did, there was this familiar ball of blue light that appeared.
This was the ball of blue light that had told me to come here in the first place.
It was also the ball of blue light that should have had an enmity with Aquaron.
