Chapter 2033: Facing the facts

“So it is the power of creation.” I muttered under my breath as I looked at the divine energy gathered in my hand.

As I stared at it, I was thinking about the different ways to use this new power.

Since coming back from the Merman Empire, there was a part of my mentality that had changed.

At this point, it didn’t matter if others found out about this since there were those that had already found out. It was impossible to keep something like this hidden, so I knew that it was only a matter of time before others knew about this as well.

That was why it was best if I learned how to control this power before that happened.

There was no telling what others would want from me when I had this kind of power.

At the same time, the threat of the God of Creation finding out…

Well, they just simply weren’t able to do anything to me during this time.

After all, they still needed me to deal with the forces of Destruction. Even if the races of the mortal world had come together to deal with the forces of Destruction, I was the one that possessed all of the relics.

Whether that was to turn me into their tool or not…

“It’s the power of creation, but what can I do with this?” I said to myself as I threw those other thoughts away.

After a while, I decided to start from the basics.

There was no telling what was possible and what wasn’t possible, but at least I could start from the beginning if I was going to test it.

It didn’t take long for a piece of wood to appear in my hand.

I wasn’t really thinking anything when I made this thing, I was just thinking of creating some kind of basic material.

In the end, that turned into this piece of wood that I was currently holding.

With this piece of wood in my hand, I lifted it up to take a closer look at it.

Though no matter how I looked at it, it didn’t seem like there was anything special about this piece of wood. It seemed like a normal piece of wood no matter which direction one looked at it from.

So in the end, I tossed it to the side.

“Crack.”

I turned in the direction of the sound, but I was surprised to find that it wasn’t the piece of wood that had cracked. Rather, it was the training dummy that was placed there that had cracked in half.

The piece of wood that I tossed was just laying there on the ground without a single scratch on it.

From the angle that it had landed, it was clear that it had punched the training dummy in half when I tossed it casually.

Only how could a piece of wood randomly made do something like this?

After all, the training dummy might have been made of wood, but it wasn’t as if it was weak. That training dummy was made of specially tempered wood since it was a training dummy that was supposed to take hits.

It shouldn’t have cracked that easily…

It took me a minute to gather myself, but I walked over to the piece of wood that was on the ground and picked it up again.

This time, I pressed against the piece of wood to see if I could crush it. Only when I did so, I could feel the resistance that came from this piece of wood.

This certainly wasn’t something that a normal piece of wood had.

After all, the strength that I currently possessed wasn’t the same as the strength that I had previously. Even if it was steel that was in my hand, it would have been a bit distorted from the strength that I used.

However, this piece of wood didn’t seem to bend at all.

There was no doubt that this piece of wood was made out of some kind of new material or else it wouldn’t have been able to resist me squeezing it like this.

Though it wasn’t as if I could figure out what kind of thing this was.

“It’s better to leave these things to the professional, but this alone won’t be enough for them to test on. It’s better if I make a few more samples.”

With that thought, I put the piece of wood down before I started creating even more samples.

Of course, these samples couldn’t be anything that was too crazy or else it wouldn’t be a proper test.

Which was why I created a variety of different basic materials in the end.

There were different cubes made of different materials that I considered basic.

Metal, wood, plastic, and such. All kinds of different materials were being created with the creation divine energy.

Once it was done, I brought all of these things to the research facility.

This was the one that had been created for the sea witches, but it wasn’t as if it was for them alone. The sea witches accepted all those that wanted to dedicate themselves to research, so there were many different races that were gathered here.

After all, it wasn’t as if one’s race decided what kind of things they were interested in.

There were all kinds of outliers that were out there and these researchers were among those outliers.

“What are these things?” Puffer was the one that ran this research facility as the first sea witch that came, but also as one of the Five Great Witches. So she was the one that I showed these samples to.

Of course, she had run a quick test on these cubes that I brought which was why she had been so shocked.

From what I could see, the readings that came from the test were never seen before.

It was only natural that she would be shocked seeing this since it meant that these materials had never been seen before.
