Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2036: First batch

Chapter 2036: First batch
“What are these supposed to be?”
An awkward look crept onto my face when I heard this, but there wasn’t anything that I could say in response since I didn’t know how to describe it either.
After all, the things that were in front of me could only be described as modern art.
After the tests had been done on the samples that I provided them, they had tentatively settled on making simple weapons with these materials.
Since I was the only one that could make these things, it meant that I was the one that would have to provide them with the most important part.
There were also dwarves that had joined the research lab, which meant that it didn’t take long for them to come up with a design for these weapons. The design that they came up with was a sword that would have disposable blades.
From the durability tests on the samples that I provided them, they found that eventually the materials would disappear when used against the corruption energy.
That was because these samples were made from divine energy.
When divine energy was used on corruption energy, it was used up since they cancelled each other out.
So over time, the blade itself would wear out and that was how the disposable model came to be.
That way, as long as more blades were created, they would be able to use the handles again and again. That was what the dwarves had thought would be the best way to create these weapons.
As for the disposable blades, that was naturally up to me to create since I was the only one that could create them.
Which was what resulted in these pieces of modern art.
After a long silence, the dwarves that were looking at the ’blades’ that I created picked them up and did what they could to attach them to the handles that were created.
There were only a few that could actually fit in the handles and it was clear that it was a loose fit. Though that was actually quite the simple fix for the dwarves since they could easily alter the handles.
The problem was that even with the handles altered, that didn’t mean that this sword was a good one.
With the handles altered to fit the blades, there were some strange looking swords that were created.
“We don’t know how bad it is until we test it.” One person said in an optimistic manner.
Though judging by the looks on the faces of the dwarves, it was clear that they weren’t optimistic about the prospects of this sword. Since it was the dwarves that were acting this way, one should really respect the opinion that they gave.
But just to be sure, there were those that picked up the swords and swung them around a few times.
It didn’t take long for them to accept the fact that these swords couldn’t be used.
The problem was that the weight distribution was completely off with the strange shape of the blades, so it was hard to swing. When they tried swinging it, there were even a few that were carried away by the sword.
With the strange appearance of the sword, it caught the air as it was being swung and forced the one swinging it to move in strange ways.
When they were laying there on the ground, I could see the way that they were looking at me which made me feel awkward.
I just asserted that they were the ones that wanted to test them with the expression that I gave them.
Once the tests were done, it was confirmed that these swords just couldn’t be used.
“We’ll take them.” The researchers that had been waiting on the side said this.
It was only natural that they would take them since they still had a use for them.
Even if these blades couldn’t be used for the swords, they could still be used for something else since they were still made of divine energy. Samples of divine energy were rare and they were happy to get their hands on any that came their way.
After the researchers raided the blades, Puffer came over to say, “For now, we need to discuss what the problem is.”
Everyone turned to look at me after she said this.
I had figured that would be the case since I was the one that was making the blades.
Which was why they were basically asking me what the problem with making them was.
“It’s harder to create specific shapes like this.” I said with a sigh in the end.
Puffer raised a brow before asking, “But you were able to change the samples before quite easily. Why is it harder now?”
“It’s easy when it’s something simple like that.”
Taking one of the blades, I changed the thickness of it until it was paper thin.
“If it’s just one dimension, it’s easy since it doesn’t take much thought. But several dimensions at the same time.”
When I said this, I started changing the overall shape of the blade to prove this point.
When I did, the blade started to twist as if it was bending in on itself.
Seeing this, the others started to understand what I meant by this.
Though it wasn’t as if they could completely understand the difficulty that came with creating something, they could understand that it wasn’t simple. But since they didn’t know the exact difficulties of doing this, it wasn’t as if they knew any solutions to help with solving this issue.
It seemed like this was a dead end with how no one seemed to have an idea.
With a sigh, I was about to say something about how I would keep trying until I could do it.
But before I could…
“What if he had some kind of sample to reference to help him, wouldn’t that make it easier? It’s like how we use molds to help us create mass produced items.” One of the dwarves suddenly suggested this.
