Chapter 2043: This is mine

“Are you sure that you don’t want our help?”

“No, I’m fine. Let me think about this myself for a bit and I’ll let you know if I need some help.” I said to those that looked like they wanted to get involved.

It wasn’t just the dwarves alone, the researchers also looked like they wanted to get involved.

After all, this was something that hadn’t been done previously.

This was something that would concentrate the full power of my divine energy into one spot. That was why they wanted to see what would happen when all of this divine energy was gathered in one place.

However, this wasn’t something that I wanted anyone to see.

I said that it was because I wasn’t sure what was going to happen and it was better safe than sorry.

But the fact of the matter was that I wanted to keep it hidden.

I really didn’t want anyone to figure out what I was going to do since it was best to keep a few secrets.

In the end, everyone was driven away from this room and I was all by myself.

Though after sending them all off, it wasn’t as if I knew what I was supposed to do.

Even if I wanted to create something special that would be mine alone, it wasn’t as if I knew what I wanted to make.

There were many different options, but it wasn’t as if there was anything that I really wanted to make. After all, I had never trained enough that I would know what I liked to use.

Even if I used magic and divine energy the most, those were just powers that were borrowed from others.

“It really doesn’t seem like there’s anything that I can call my own.” I said to myself with a bitter smile on my face.

I just sat there looking at my hand for a bit before suddenly raising it in front of me and closing my eyes. As I closed my eyes, I gathered the divine energy in my hand and tried to think about something that would belong to me.

But in the end, this didn’t work.

“Well, it’s not like the divine energy would know what is right for me either. If I don’t know what I want to make, then it isn’t as if it will just make it on its own.” I said with a sigh.

It had been a shot in the dark, so I wasn’t surprised that it didn’t work.

It’s not as if divine energy was something that could solve all problems.

So after thinking about it, I went back to the drawing board.

“What kind of attribute would best suit me?”

That was the main thing that I had to figure out since that was the big thing that would help me decide what I would want to make.

But as I was thinking about it, I couldn’t really think of anything.

After all, I was someone that had just been dropped into this world after I had died without anything…No, there was something that I did have, but it was something that I hadn’t used in a long time.

The things that I had been dealing with had far surpassed the scope of what the things my system gave me could help with.

The things that the system gave me did help me forge relationships with the different races, but they couldn’t do anything against the forces of Destruction. So it had been a long time since I tried getting anything from the system.

“What if I created a dildo bat out of divine energy? Would it have the same property?”

It was strange that I hadn’t thought about it until now, but it did make sense.

It was just the nature of the system that made me not want to associate it with the divine power of the gods, but it really felt like this was a good combination. Especially since I knew what it was that the system was capable of.

So that was why I called to the system for anything that it could give me.

I wanted to make The Penetrator, but I also wanted to see if there was anything better that the system could give me. After all, the only thing that The Penetrator provided was its penetrating powers.

It wasn’t as if it was a problem penetrating through the defenses of the corruption energy monsters.

The real problem was that the corruption energy wouldn’t be destroyed unless it was purified with divine energy. So even if The Penetrator did provide immense power, it wasn’t as if it would help with the divine energy’s purification.

The system was silent even though I called out to it which made me a bit disappointed.

It didn’t seem like the system was able to come up with anything, but that wasn’t strange since it wasn’t as if the system was something that would be able to come up with all the answers.

There was a specific task for the system and it did things related to that task well.

But other than that, it really didn’t seem like the system would give me anything.

Or that was what I thought until the system suddenly said, “Host, you are a collection of many different things. It is your flexibility and your ability to combine all these things together that makes you special.”

I was caught off guard by what the system said since it had never offered this kind of advice before.

In fact, the way that the system talked to me was as if it was some kind of machine that would only give me answers within the confines of its knowledge base. But now it was giving me a proper answer…

“Are you alive?” I couldn’t help asking the system.

However, there was no response from the system in the end.

I took a deep breath before saying, “Just what are you? Even if you are mine, it doesn’t feel like you are…”
