Chapter 2044: It’s just an orb (1)

With that suggestion from the system, I had come up with some ideas for what kind of relic I wanted.

In the end, the system was right about what kind of person I was.

I didn’t really earn any of the power that I had gained, I was someone that just had power thrust onto them by the gods and the people of this world. So to put it in another way, there really wasn’t anything that I actually specialized in.

Because of the different powers that had been given to me, there were many different things that I could do.

There were all kinds of powers that I could use in different situations depending on what the situation was.

Which was why it wasn’t a good idea to restrict myself to a single situation.

Instead, it was best to create something that focused on flexibility.

But that was easier said than done.

“Flexible, but what would be considered flexible?”

The first thing that I came up with was a knife.

After all, that was the most basic weapon that one could think of since it was something that could be used in all different kinds of situations. The problem was that I really didn’t know how to use a knife and even making one was hard.

To make a proper knife shaped relic, one would naturally need experience with a knife to know the proper dimensions.

For me, this wasn’t possible since I didn’t have this kind of experience.

“Then how about a spear?”

I had once heard that a spear was the most versatile weapon that humans had come up with. There were many different ways to use a spear that it was impossible to completely counter it.

But once again, there was the same problem.

“I just simply don’t have the experience necessary to properly make a spear. In fact, there’s no weapon that I’m familiar enough with to create a relic out of.” I said to myself with a sigh in the end.

Only I didn’t let myself become defeated as I started thinking about it from a different angle.

In the first place, I wasn’t someone that was a warrior.

In the first place, I was someone that was more a magician with how my specs made me. So trying to create a weapon for a warrior really didn’t suit me since I wasn’t actually spec’d to use it.

After this thought passed through my mind, I started thinking about what kind of relics would suit a magician.

But in the end, there really wasn’t anything that suited me.

It was the same reason as why a warrior weapon didn’t suit me.

“I’m really just a mishmash of all kinds of things. There really isn’t a single thing that I specialize in that I can use as a base for this relic.” I said with another sigh to myself.

In the end, it was this realization that made me finally realize what I was good at.

“I’m a jack of all trades, so that means that I should make something that is suited for that. At the same time, since I have creation divine energy, that would be something that would really suit that as well.”

The more that I thought about it, the more that it seemed like it was viable.

It was just that I really couldn’t think of what kind of shape to make this thing.

“I’ll just channel the divine energy and see what happens.” I said in the end almost as if I was giving up.

That was the first thing that I was asked the moment that I came out.

With how many people had been waiting here, it was clear that they were all very curious about what I would make.

At the same time, there were a bunch of others that came over to see what was happening.

The ones that had been waiting outside were the ones that were just posted here to see when I would come out. The rest had all been waiting anxiously to see what kind of relic I would create.

That was why it was harder for me to pull it out when I saw all of their expectant looks.

From the perspective of someone else, it really wasn’t anything special.

I had created something that suited me, but it really was considered dull.

Only when they all looked at me like this, it really was hard for me to say no.

At the same time, it wasn’t just the researchers that came over to see what was happening. There were also others that didn’t have anything to do with this place that came to see.

It seemed like they had all heard about what I was doing and they were curious about what I had created.

That included my wives, the prime minister, and even the kids.

When even the kids were brought along, it really was hard for me not to demonstrate what I had created. It was hard for me to let my kids down…

So that was why I agreed to demonstrate this item and we all moved to a practice field.

Once we were there, there were targets that were placed in front of me.

They had wanted to set up corruption energy samples, but I stopped them since that was too dangerous. WIth even kids watching, I didn’t want to take any risks at all and just stuck to normal targets.

After all, the relic that I had created would also work on normal targets.

Once everything was set up, everyone just waited for me to take out the relic.

I was a bit hesitant since I still thought that it would be disappointing, but there really was no going back at this point since we had already gone this far.

“Is that an orb?”

“That’s your relic?”

“There’s nothing more to it?”

A bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this.
