There was this anxious feeling that filled me as we were about to arrive in the Holy Empire.

I had already said that I would make some time to visit them, so I didn’t waste any time in coming.

After all, there was something that I really needed to find out.

But the way that the escorts treated me made me feel anxious.

It was even more intense than before.

Before this, they had treated me on the same level as the saintess of the Holy Empire. They treated me as someone that was important, but they still saw me as a mortal.

Only now, it was clear that they no longer saw me as a mortal.

The way that they looked at me had the same fanaticism that they had when they worshipped their gods. Even if it wasn’t at the same level as the gods yet, it was still not a welcome sight to see.

I didn’t want to be treated like a god when I was just a human.

Looking down, I could see the mass of people that were gathered there.

With how they were gathered, it was clear that they had been waiting for a long time for our arrival. At the same time, it was clear that they had been told everything about who would be arriving.

Only I didn’t believe that they would be this enthusiastic to welcome someone like me.

This was a fact that everyone in the Holy Empire knew about since they made sure that everyone knew about this.

However, it wasn’t as if the title of Holy Son was important enough that there would be this kind of reaction from the citizens.

The way that they were acting was much more intense than before.

At the same time, I couldn’t help thinking of the reactions that some other people had when they saw me.

It was the same as when they came to pick me up.

They were treating me with a completely different intensity compared to before.

Whenever those famous stars arrived at the airport, they would always be surrounded like this.

I did notice that there were a few children that had strange fates attached to them.

These were newborn babies, so they shouldn’t have had such a thing. But I could clearly tell that there were traces of what seemed to be divine energy coming from them.

It wasn’t that they possessed divine energy, it was just that divine energy clung to them for some reason.

It was even stranger that the holy knights and priests that were escorting me didn’t notice them. It was as if there was something that was blocking them from noticing these traces of divine energy.

However, I could clearly sense them.

Because I could sense these traces of divine energy, I knew that they would be a detriment to these children in the future.

One might think that divine energy was a blessing, but it wasn’t really when one didn’t know how to control it.

With the way that the divine energy possessed them, I could see that it would eventually come out in a bad way. It would develop in a direction that would harm them rather than help them.

Which was why I called for these babies to be brought over.

I didn’t have to get involved, but it didn’t feel right to leave them be when I noticed them. Which was why I pretended to bring them over for a blessing, when in reality…

“That should do it.” I thought to myself as I looked at the baby that was being held up in front of me.

What I had done was created a net that would make sure that this divine energy was contained until it could be properly released.

This was something that I had done with Max to help Dorothy contain her corruption energy, so even if it wasn’t exactly the same, I knew the general idea of what to do to help these kids.

Though by doing this…

I could see the way that the parents of these babies looked at me and I knew that this would be troublesome.

Especially if this were to spread which I knew it would.

But it wasn’t as if I could just ignore these innocent children.
