It took a while to get through this crowd since we kept stopping when I noticed these children.

It was strange that there were so many of these children in the first place.

Even if this was the Holy Empire that had a close connection to the children, it wasn’t as if there should be this many that were stained with divine energy.

After all, it wasn’t as if divine energy was something that was that common.

Divine energy was the power of the gods and it wasn’t something that could easily make it to the mortal plane.

Looking at me was a bad example since I was someone that had broken that rule. Before this, there were very few divine relics that had even made it to the mortal world and they would always be properly sealed up.

So it wasn’t as if there was a lot of divine energy leaking out.

“Is it because of what has been happening or is this a sign of change?” I couldn’t help asking myself while I was thinking about this.

There was even a part of me that was wondering if this was all my fault…

After all, I was the one that kept bringing more and more divine relics down from the god realm into this mortal realm. It could be said that I was the main culprit that was causing the excessive divine energy to appear in the mortal realm to begin with.

Since there were a few cases that were in this crowd, that meant that there could be more cases out there in the Holy Empire.

The Holy Empire was a big place as one of the four empires of the human race, so there were many people that were living here. If there were this many kids in the crowd that were affected, there was no telling how many there were in the entire Holy Empire.

If it was really related to me, then it would be wrong for me to ignore this…

“I’ll have to bring this up with the popes and see if we can arrange something to help these kids. I’m sure that Max will be able to create something that will be able to find the ones affected. Even the holy knights and priests should be able to as long as they know what they are looking for.”

That was the decision that I made in the end.

If it was related to me, then it really would be irresponsible to ignore it.

But right now, there was something else that I had to do.

Since I had come for a reason, they didn’t meet me in the usual place.

Instead, they met me at the place that I wanted to see.

This was a temple that wasn’t as big as the other temples, but that didn’t mean that this temple wasn’t as respected. Though it wasn’t as big, how clean and shiny this place was showed just how important this place was to the people that were here.

At the same time, there was a special feeling that was coming from inside of this place that only I could feel.

The moment that I felt this special feeling, I knew that this was the right place.

Waiting for me was the Holy Council, all of the popes were there as if they had been waiting for my arrival for a long time now.

After I arrived, the first thing that they did was bow to me as if I was someone that they all respected. It was as if I was someone that was above them, the popes that governed over the Holy Empire.

I just ignored them since there were no outsiders here to see this.

There was a part of me that had already guessed that they would do this, so I had made sure that the royal guards had stayed on the airship before coming here.

Ignoring the popes, I went to look at the statue that had been installed.

This statue was installed right in front of the large statue at the very back of this church.

That very large statue was the statue of the Creation God and in front of that statue was my statue.

It was the one that they had shown me previously, but it was also different now.

This was because there was something that was in one of the hands of the statue.

This was an orb that was just like the one that I had created.

At the same time, I could sense that there was another connection that had been formed with this statue. It wasn’t a connection with me, but rather a connection with the orb that was in my hand.

After all, this orb was a relic that I had created and that was why there was a special connection between us.

So if there was a connection between the statue and the orb, I would naturally sense it as well.

It seemed that just like how the statue was turning faith into divine energy for me, it was doing the same for the relic that I had created.

It was strange that it was even possible for the relic that I created, but I guessed that it was because it was a relic that was connected to me that this was possible. Since it was a relic that relied on my divine energy, then it would receive the same faith that I did.

There was no doubt that this faith did indeed make both me and the relic stronger, but I could tell that it wasn’t that much of an increase. It felt like there was something that was restraining the amount of power that this connection was providing.

“I’m still a mortal, so it isn’t as if I should be able to receive power from faith. But it seems that something is changing with me that’s allowing me to do this. Is it because I’m being changed by the divine energy that I received?” That was the conclusion that I came up with in the end.
