Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2050: A little at a time

Chapter 2050: A little at a time
There was an awkward silence that followed after this outburst from me.
There was no doubt that it felt good to let it all out like this, but I knew that this wasn’t the best way to put this.
With how I had said it, it was almost as if I was a child that was throwing some kind of tantrum.
But it was impossible to take it back after I had said it…
So the only thing that I could do was wait for Solista’s answer.
It took a while, but Solista did eventually say something.
The first response that she had was to give a sigh before saying, “I know that it’s been hard on you, but this is part of the process. This is something that I can’t tell you about because it’s forbidden to tell you.”
I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes to look at Solista when she said this, but it didn’t seem like she was going to change her mind.
In fact, it seemed like this was one of the few things that she would remain adamant on no matter what.
I had seen this situation before and knew that it was because of something restricting her that she was acting this way. Even though she was a god, there was something that was restricting her…
It was clear that whatever it was was something that was very powerful.
Though it really felt like there was something off with the way that Solista said this.
In the end, I looked at her with a complicated look before saying with a sigh, “Then what can you tell me?”
Solista gave a nod to show that she understood how I was feeling before saying, “We can’t tell you everything, but as time passes, we will be able to tell you a little at a time. However, that all depends on how you do with the trials. If you pass the trials, it means that you’re qualified to obtain this information.”
I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes to look at her when I heard this, but it didn’t seem like there was anything else that Solista had to say about this.
It seemed like until the very end, she wasn’t willing to reveal a single thing.
So there was nothing that I could do in the end other than accept what she said.
“What is this trial?” I asked with a sigh.
I wasn’t committing myself to accepting the trial, but I also was keeping myself open to the possibility of going through with this.
“You’ll receive an oracle and will have to go to a certain place. When you arrive in that place, please help the ones that are there.”
A strange look appeared on my face when I heard this.
I had to look at Solista to make sure that this was correct, but it didn’t seem like there was anything else that she was going to add to this.
From this, I could tell that this was indeed the trial that I was being given.
However, it just didn’t seem to make any sense at all.
Why would a trial for me to gain a stronger version of the Mark of God involve something like helping random people?
While it wasn’t as if there was anything wrong with helping people, it was just that the request was too strange. Why would helping people be related to increasing the power of the Mark of God.
If it was just testing if I was a good person or not, it seemed like this was something that was done too late.
After all, something like the Mark of God shouldn’t have been given to someone that wasn’t a good person in the first place. This kind of thing should be checked before handing someone something like the Mark of God.
But it didn’t seem like Solista was going to change what she said.
It seemed that this was indeed the trial that I was being given.
The fact that this was the trial made it even more suspicious as if there was something more to this.
“Who are the people that I’m supposed to help?” I couldn’t help asking in the end since this seemed like the most important thing.
Only Solista didn’t answer this even though this was supposed to be part of my trial.
It seemed that this was supposed to be some kind of secret. Or with the way that she was acting, it seemed like this was something that I was supposed to discover on my own.
The more that she acted like this, the more worried that I couldn’t help feeling.
After all, if even this was a secret, there was no telling what other kinds of secrets there would be related to this matter.
In the end, it didn’t seem like there was anything else that she was going to say.
Since that was the case, I had to ask one more thing, “Where are the rest of the gods.”
This time she gave an answer that surprised and confused me.
“It’s best that you didn’t meet them, so I sent them off.” She seemed to say without any emotion in her voice.
I just looked at her while trying to see if I could figure anything else about what she said, but it didn’t seem like there was anything else to find.
It seemed that there was something that these gods were determined to hide from me.
I didn’t even get a chance to say anything else in the end as Solista sent me back to the mortal world while I was still thinking about this.
When I was back, I found that the popes were waiting for me.
Not only that, it seemed like they had something for me.
The oracle that Solista mentioned came much sooner than I thought.
It had even been sent while I was still in the god realm.
Though the location that she was sending me to with this oracle…
