Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2056: Elementals

Chapter 2056: Elementals
The little stone creature in my hand didn’t answer this question in the end.
It just looked up at me as if it was waiting for me to answer the question that it had asked.
So in the end, I said with a sigh, “I’m the representative of the gods that was sent here to help you.” Then in a smaller voice, I said, “It isn’t as if I know exactly how I’m supposed to help.”
“Representative of the gods?” The same voice as before rang out.
It seemed that they only cared about what they wanted to know and didn’t care at all about answering my questions at all.
Though it really wasn’t as if they had a reason to answer my question.
After a moment of silence, the little stone creature in my hand started squirming once more as if it wanted to do something.
I had no idea what it wanted to do, but I didn’t stop it this time.
I had heard the tone that this little stone creature had when it repeated what I said, so I knew that it wouldn’t actually do anything strange. I was curious just what this little stone creature was planning to do.
The little stone creature didn’t even leave my side as it climbed onto my hand and stood on it. The way that it looked at my hand was as if it was trying to see something specific from my hand.
It seemed like it was trying to reach the back of my hand where the Mark of God was, so I slowly turned my hand so that this little stone creature would be able to reach it.
Walking on my hand as it turned, it eventually reached the back where the Mark of God was.
The little stone creature just remained there looking at this Mark of God for a bit before suddenly reaching its small stone hand towards it.
The moment that it made contact with the Mark of God, I could feel that there was some kind of strange connection that was formed.
As I had thought, there was this strange form of divine energy that was coming from this little stone creature.
There was a part of me that had already been expecting this since this was a place that the gods sent me to. It was a place where they had put a large array like that to hide it from the rest of the world.
So whatever was in this place had to have some kind of connection to the gods.
As for what that specific connection was…
At the very least, it seemed that these little stone creatures were capable of communicating with us. At least that meant that we would be able to talk to them and see if we could get information from them.
Or that would be the case if they were willing to talk to us.
After it seemed like it was satisfied with what it found, the little stone creature seemed like it had lost interest in the Mark of God that was on the back of my hand with how it jumped down.
The other little stone creatures all came forward to surround it when they saw it jump down and it seemed like they were whispering something to each other, as if they were discussing what it had found.
After a while, they seemed to have finished with whatever they were discussing and they turned as if they were leaving.
For our group that didn’t know what was happening, it was hard to know what to do in this situation.
But they soon turned back to look at us before saying, “Come with us. We’ll show you to our village.”
Klein and the royal guards naturally looked to me as if they were asking me what we should do about this.
I really didn’t know what to do either at first since this certainly wasn’t a situation that I had encountered before. Even if I knew that there had to be something here that I was supposed to help for my trial, I really had no idea if these little stone creatures were it.
In the end, I figured that it was better to follow them and see what was happening instead of just waiting here with no clues at all.
In a worst case scenario, we could still fight our way out.
After all, I could tell that these little stone creatures weren’t that strong even if there were a bunch of them that were here.
So I led them forward while following the little stone creatures.
As we moved forward, I couldn’t help asking once more, “What are you?”
This time, it seemed that they were finally willing to talk to me.
“We’re rock elementals.”
“Elementals?” I repeated in a confused voice, but it seemed that this was all that they were willing to say.
But I could see the strange way that they were looking at me when I repeated this.
It was as if they couldn’t understand what I was confused by.
It seemed that for them, elementals were a very common thing.
Only for us humans, we had never heard of elementals like this before.
Even for me who knew this world when it was still a game, I had never heard of anyone using elementals.
This game didn’t have an elemental summoning system like other games had, this game only had a spirit summoning system that drew on spirits made of spiritual energy.
There were only things like the Spirit Kings that I had contracted.
So it was strange to differentiate between elementals and spirits like this.
But there was no doubt that they weren’t spirits since they didn’t have the same bodies as spirits.
Instead of being immaterial, it was clear that they were made of materials from this world with their stone bodies. It was impossible for them to be the same as spirits when they were actually made of these elements.
