But to make sure that I wasn’t mistaking this, I said to the elder, “Can I take a closer look?”

The elder didn’t hesitate as they nodded in agreement.

With how quick the elder had responded, there was a part of me that couldn’t help being put off by this. After all, it was as if the elder had some kind of ulterior motives that they were hiding from me with how quickly they responded.

That was why there was a part of me that didn’t want to approach this thing anymore.

But in the end, I could feel the strong connection that was coming from this rock pillar and knew that I had to at least look at it.

Which was why I slowly moved closer towards the rock pillar.

I had reached out towards the rock pillar since I wanted to see if I could see if there was anything special about this rock pillar. But in the end, the rock pillar lit up the moment that my hand made contact.

I looked at the rock pillar with a strange look, but it wasn’t as if I knew what had happened just now.

After all, that sensation definitely wasn’t one that I had felt before…

It wasn’t that I was being attacked or taken advantage of, it was more of a symbiosis between me and the rock pillar.

I looked at the rock pillar when they said this, but I couldn’t really tell if it was bigger or not.

For the rock elementals, they should be able to tell with their size.

From their size, it would seem a bit bigger or something like that…

“Why did it do that?” I asked the elder when I came back to my senses.

The elder looked at me with a look that seemed to be surprised and confused once more before saying, “We don’t know either. The only thing that was in the prophecy was that the representative of the gods would help restore the source of this realm.”

I narrowed my eyes to look at the elder when they said this.

After all, what they were saying was that they knew that this would happen.

It was hard for the elder to miss what I was trying to say with this glare, so they said, “We didn’t know the specifics, so we didn’t know that this would happen.”

I narrowed my eyes once more, but the elder just calmly looked back at me without anything to hide.

When they looked at me like this, it really was hard for me to blame them.
