Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2075: Incentives

Chapter 2075: Incentives
“It’s been a while since I’ve smelled fresh air.” I said after taking a deep breath.
This was the truth since I had been locked up inside of the workshop for over a week now.
It was only after a week that I was satisfied with the amount of product that had been created and I finally let Queenie off.
Though this was also in part because I knew that this was the limit of what Queenie could take. I knew that if I had pushed her any further, then she really would have had a mental break.
For someone with her personality, she really couldn’t take working for that long.
If she didn’t have a proper break, then she would break.
Which was why I decided to take this time to meet with the racial alliance.
They had already been waiting for some time now since I had already told everyone that I wanted to meet them through the Holy Empire back when I first met Solista.
It was just that I had been preparing things, which was why they had been patiently waiting. Though to say that they were patiently waiting wasn’t the truth either since I had received reports on everything that happened.
During this time, it wasn’t as if the signs of the corruption energy activity had stopped.
The corruption energy appeared even more in different places and it seemed like it was only a matter of time before a full invasion of the forces of Destruction appeared.
So of course everyone would be nervous, especially those smaller countries that couldn’t defend themselves as well as the larger countries.
This was evident as the first thing that was asked in the meeting was…
“Are the weapons ready?”
It didn’t seem like they were planning to beat around the bush as they asked me this question directly. It seemed like they wanted to know exactly what was happening with the weapons that they had been promised.
It was a good thing that I had spent the last week preparing them.
Only before I could tell them about this, there was something else that I had to tell them.
“I’ve figured out the reason why the forces of Destruction are stirring.”
As soon as I said this, it went so silent that one could even hear the sound of a pin drop.
Of course this would be the response from this group since this was the thing that they had been agonizing over this entire time. It was only by understanding why this was happening that they would be able to figure out a way to deal with it.
So that was why all of them were waiting to hear what I had to say.
“It’s actually a long story, so there’s a lot that I have to tell you first.” I said with a sigh before taking a deep breath to tell them.
I told them about the trial that the gods gave me, but I did leave out a few things that I didn’t want to tell everyone.
When I was done, I added, “I’ve been given a map of the elementals that are left and still need our help. If we can save them all, then the forces of Destruction should back down and return to their hiding place.”
The representatives from the larger countries didn’t seem to mind this and had already made up their minds.
The representatives from the smaller countries had a harder time coming to a decision.
After all, this was a risky matter for them.
I had already been expecting this, which was why I had been working hard on mass producing the weapons during this time.
They were supposed to be incentives.
“In order to deal with this matter, I’ve already prepared weapons that we can use to deal with the forces of Destruction. Since this matter is urgent, it’s only natural that these weapons would go to those that help us deal with this matter.”
The moment that they heard this, the representatives from the smaller countries looked at each other.
With the way that they looked at each other, it was clear what they were thinking about.
All of them wanted one thing and I was offering it to them.
That meant that they were currently competitors to see who would get more of this one thing.
To stir the pot even more, I said, “To those that are willing to help, you can keep the weapons when this is all over.”
This really was the straw that broke the camel’s back as everything that they had been holding back came out all of a sudden. It seemed like all of them were willing to send people to help with this matter now that they knew that this was the only way that they would get the weapons.
Well, they would get the weapons eventually since this was something that we needed to deal with the forces of Destruction.
It was just that with limited supplies, there was an order for these things.
This was the only way that they would skip the order and get them ahead of time.
As such, they were naturally willing to offer their services.
It went from not having anyone volunteer to having too many people volunteer.
That was why it became a discussion of how many we should take from each country to send to the places marked on the map. They would be stationed there as guards against the corruption energy until I was able to reach the elementals and help them.
Though there were limiting factors to this.
It was how many people we wanted from each country to balance things out and obviously there was the limited amount of weapons that we had. It wasn’t as if we could give them more than we actually had.
So that was why it became a fierce competition between them to show off their soldiers.
The stronger the soldiers, the more likely they were to be chosen after all.
Still, it seemed like providing incentive worked.
