Chapter 2084: It’s getting hotter

It didn’t take long for the flame elementals to push all of the magma inside of the crystal chamber out.

With how they moved, it was clear that this was a process that they were very familiar with. This was clearly something that they had done in the past.

Though that wasn’t strange since this was the way to keep this place alive.

It was only normal that they would have done this in the past.

It was also the reason why the red gem would be this small in the first place.

They had already used its power previously to maintain this place or else they wouldn’t have been able to live here for so long.

So it was only natural that they were familiar with this process.

With how quickly the flame elementals moved, it didn’t take long for them to push out all of the magma that had been generated.

Once all of that magma was gone, I tapped on the crystal wall in front of me and the elder came over to open it for me.

Though the moment that the wall swung open, I could feel the heat coming from in front of me. The magma had left its mark in this crystal chamber with the amount of heat that it had left behind.

I had been caught off guard by it, but it wasn’t as if I wasn’t able to resist it.

It just took a bit of quick maneuvering to stop it from burning me the moment that I came out of the chamber.

After looking around for a bit, I found that there wasn’t anything else that had changed about this place. It was just that it had gotten a bit hotter because of the heat from the magma.

“Is that really all that ceremony was supposed to do?” I couldn’t help asking the flame elemental elder.

The flame elemental elder just gave a simple satisfied nod in response to this.

Since it wasn’t saying anything, I figured that there was no point in staying here any longer.

After all, I knew that the place with the real change wouldn’t be inside of this fake volcano. The place with the real change would be outside of the volcano where all of that magma was dumped.

As we went through the tunnels, I could feel the heat that was left behind by the magma.

Or that was what I thought it was at first.

“Is it getting hotter?” I couldn’t help asking as we went further and further away from the center of this fake volcano.

The moment that they heard this, there were wide smiles that appeared on the faces of the flame elementals that I didn’t understand.

It was only when we came out of the tunnel that I realized what it was and I couldn’t help being blown back by what I felt. The moment that I felt the heat coming from in front of me, I immediately raised my hand to draw out more of Ifrit’s power.

If I had been a moment slower, then I would have been burnt by that heat.

Still, it was interesting to see just how much this place had changed because of the magma that had been generated.

It was as if this place was filled with more life…or just more heat.

The ones that were filled with the most excitement were the flame elementals, or at least the ones that had come out with me.

The ones that had come out first were already running around as if they were exploring this place for the first time. There seemed like there was no containing the excitement that they felt.

With the way that they ran around, they were like a bunch of kids that were enjoying life for the first time.

It really was a strange sight seeing these flame elementals run around like this, but it wasn’t as if I couldn’t understand the excitement that they felt.

For these flame elementals that had been worried about their home the entire time, it was only natural that they would be feeling excited when they saw hope like this.

I didn’t say anything as I just let them do what they wanted to do.

Instead, I started looking around this place as well.

It was quite obvious that there was a lot that had changed about this place compared to before.

After all, there were things that seemed to be plants that were growing all over the place.

Even though this place should have been far too hot for plants to grow and the fact that there was lava all over the place, it didn’t seem to deter these plants from growing.

Just from the fact that they grew in a place like this was enough to show that they had somehow adapted to the environment.

It really was enough to show just how tough these plants were.

I couldn’t help wondering just what kind of attributes these plants had.

After all, this was a plant that I had never seen before.

I was certain that there would be something special that we could do with this plant, as long as we had enough time to analyze this thing.

Though there was a part of me that knew that this wouldn’t really have much of an effect on the forces of Destruction. After all, there was only one thing that worked on the forces of Destruction and this clearly wasn’t it.

Still, it wasn’t as if there was just a single plant that was in this place.

There were all kinds of different things that seemed to be growing in this place.

It seemed that the distribution of magma had really revived the vitality of this place.

Since there were all kinds of things for me to see, then this was a place for me to explore.

The problem was that with the heat in this place, it really was hard for me to explore.

“Well, I have time since I won’t be able to stay that long with this heat.”
