Chapter 2098: Reduced

“It certainly has improved a lot.” I couldn’t help saying after seeing all of the weapons that were stockpiled there.

It had only been a few days and the workshop had already produced far more weapons than the period that I had been away.

Dorothy really had that ability in her that she was able to take charge of the workshop and force Queenie to work.

Though judging by the look on Queenie’s face, it really didn’t seem like she was happy about all of this. It seemed like there was a part of her that wanted to die because of all that she had been through.

I didn’t say anything about this as it was an improvement from how it was in the past.

It wasn’t as if I had approved of her lazy attitude in the first place.

The only problem was that there was no one else that could have taken her place.

But since Dorothy had proven to be a proper replacement, there really wasn’t a need to go along with Queenie’s lazy attitude anymore.

With the pace that they were going at, it really seemed like they would be able to produce enough to supply to all of the countries in just a matter of days.

Other than this, Dorothy had actually improved on the quality of the weapons.

The weapons that Queenie made had been weakened because it used the divine energy that Queenie provided. That divine energy just wasn’t as strong since it had a different attribute.

The only reason that it was being used was because of how abundant it was.

But now that Dorothy was making up for what was lacking with her corruption energy, it meant that this was close to if I had used pure creation divine energy to create these weapons.

That meant that the quality of the weapons had greatly increased from when Queenie made them.

Not only did this make them much more durable, it also made them much stronger.

There was no doubt that the other countries of the racial alliance would be satisfied with these weapons. And if we were able to maintain this quality, there was no doubt that it would be a great help in our future war with the forces of Destruction.

However, this wasn’t the reason that we came to the workshop today.

If it was, we wouldn’t have brought Max along with us since he wasn’t interested in this kind of thing at all.

The only thing that Max was interested in was the condition of Dorothy’s body.

Though from the way that he looked at her, it really felt like he was looking at some kind of experiment rather than a person.

Still, he was good at his job and there was a reason that he was here today.

Once he had finished with his tests, there was an amazed look on his face.

Whether that was a good sign or not was still to be seen though.

Seeing that he didn’t say anything as he continued writing things down, I couldn’t stop myself from asking, “So, what’s the verdict?”

“It’s been reduced.” He said without even looking up from his notes.

Just this alone wasn’t enough to tell us what was going on, so I asked, “What do you mean by reduced?”

“It’s very simple, the amount of corruption energy inside of her has been reduced.” He said while turning around what he had been writing down to show us.

Other than this, he also showed us the results from the tests that he ran.

We couldn’t help letting out a sigh of relief when we saw this.

Even though I had this idea, it wasn’t as if I had been certain that it would work.

This was something that I had guessed would work since it was something that would take up the corruption energy that was inside of Dorothy. But now that Max had confirmed it with his tests, it meant that this was indeed the case.

I only gave us a minute to celebrate though since there was no telling what could change.

After all, Dorothy’s condition could change at any moment since we had no idea what the source of the corruption energy was.

All we knew was that it was stabilized for now.

“Keep watching over her and make sure that nothing unexpected happens.”

I said this, but it didn’t seem like Max was even interested in listening to what I said. With the way that he looked at Dorothy, it was clear that he wanted to run some other tests to see how her corruption energy worked.

Though it didn’t seem like Dorothy was willing to go along with these tests with the look on her face.

In the end, I stopped him by saying, “Compile everything in a report and send it to the racial alliance.”

Max stopped after hearing this and nodded in acknowledgement.

Normally he wouldn’t do something like this, but he was doing it now because he knew that this was the only way to keep Dorothy here. Even if I wanted to keep her here, it wasn’t as if I could go against the racial alliance alone.

So that was why we had to give them proper reporting that Dorothy’s condition had stabilized.

With that fact and the fact that she was in charge of mass producing the weapons, it didn’t seem like they would be able to charge her with anything. With the current situation, it seemed like Dorothy was safe for now.

But I could see the look on her face as she looked at the orb.

She still wanted to use the orb and try to suppress the corruption energy even more until it didn’t bother her at all.

“Don’t push yourself.” I said to her in the end.

I knew that I couldn’t stop her, so I just had to make sure that she didn’t collapse.

Dorothy gave a nod in response, but I could still see the look in her eyes.

There really wasn’t anything else that we could say to her about this.
