Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2099: Miasma

Chapter 2099: Miasma
With the Dorothy situation stabilized and the countries appeased by the fact that there was a proper production line, it meant that I couldn’t remain in the Kite Kingdom any longer.
It was nice being able to sleep in my bed after a long time, but there was a place that we still had to go to.
In fact, it was quite urgent that we go there as soon as possible since the signs of the corruption energy getting stronger across the continent were still there.
It really seemed like it was only a matter of time before things exploded.
So before that could happen, we had to make sure that everything was taken care of.
To do that, it meant dealing with the elementals that had revealed themselves.
The place that we were heading to now was another one of the taboo zones, but this place was different from the other taboo zones. It was a place that was far more dangerous than any other taboo zone because of the properties that this place had.
However, there was someone that I didn’t expect to come with me.
Before leaving the Kite Kingdom, Lupus suddenly came forward and said, “I want to come with you.”
I was certainly caught off guard by Lupus being this forward, but it also gave me an idea of what to expect here. After all, we had an idea of what kind of elementals were sealed in each place because of what kind of taboo zone it was.
The creation divine energy item that was given to each tribe of elementals took the opposite of what it was used to create from the air.
The tribes of elementals that used them would always use them to create the element that they needed for survival. Which meant that whatever caused these taboo zones would be the opposite of what they created.
For a place that was completely filled with miasma like this, there was no doubt that this was related to the air.
Which meant that this was a group of wind elementals that we were looking for.
There was a part of me that understood why Lupus would want to find a group of wind elementals since the god that she served was the god of wind. It was just that it didn’t make sense that she would look for them all of a sudden like this.
The only explanation for this was that Zephyrus had something that they wanted to pass onto these wind elementals.
As for what it was, it didn’t seem like Lupus was planning to share with me based on how she acted.
It seemed like she was waiting until she met the wind elementals to share this message.
When we arrived at the edge of the taboo zone, we could easily see why it was deemed as such.
This wasn’t a gas that was invisible, this was a kind of gas that was very visible and seemed to cover everything. Which was why it was a problem for us since we had been planning on searching this taboo zone for the array that led to the wind elementals.
But with this gas covering everything up, it really was hard to find anything.
As we stood there thinking about how to deal with this, Lupus suddenly came forward to say, “Follow me and stay close.”
Without even giving us a chance to understand what she was saying, she suddenly released a gust of wind.
This wind wasn’t strong enough to push us away, but it did push aside the gas that was in front of us. However, it wasn’t as if it just pushed the gas aside.
Lupus was much more skilled than that, she wouldn’t do something as simple as pushing it away.
Instead of pushing it forward, what the wind did was push it up and create this barrier above us that stopped the gas from falling back down.
It seemed like she was planning on lifting the gas off the ground like this so we could find the parts of the array that we needed to activate.
However, it wasn’t as if it was that easy since we didn’t know what we were even supposed to look for.
In a place like this, there really was no telling just what would be part of this array.
After all, there was just gas here.
In the past, it was a pillar of rock or a pillar of ice that marked the array.
However, what was supposed to be the equivalent when it came to gas?
In the end, that question was answered quite quickly.
It was a pillar of gas.
Or it wasn’t exactly a pillar of gas, it was something that looked similar to a pillar of gas.
This was some kind of vent that was releasing gas into the air, almost as if it was venting the gas out of some underground space.
Seeing this, a strange look appeared on my face.
After all, this was a very obvious indication that there was something hidden under the ground. It really seemed different from the other places where the pillars that made up the array were from the elements that were there.
It felt like this was even exposing where the wind elementals were hiding.
“They can’t see these in the first place since they’re hidden in the gas. It’s only because I’m lifting the gas that they can be seen. The gas isn’t normal gas either.”
I turned to look at Lupus when she said this, but it didn’t seem like she was going to say anything else about this.
But since it was Lupus that was saying this, then it was most likely the truth since she was the god’s messenger of the God of Wind. There was no one that was more qualified to give an opinion on this than her.
So that was why I left this matter alone and went to activate the array.
The wind vent acted the same way as the other pillars and soon there was an array that appeared.
