Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2100: Pure emptiness

Chapter 2100: Pure emptiness
Going down the same passage as the other places, I couldn’t help wondering what we were about to see.
After all, it was hard to imagine what kind of place wind elementals would live in.
The image of wind elementals that I had in my mind were beings that were made purely of wind, so it wasn’t as if there was much that a wind elemental would need in my mind.
It felt like as long as there was wind, there would be a place for the wind elemental.
When we reached the bottom of these stairs, what we saw surprised all of us.
Or perhaps it was better to say that what we didn’t see surprised all of us.
After all, there really wasn’t a single thing that was here.
Unlike the last two habitats of the rock elementals and the flame elementals, this place was completely empty. It felt like there wasn’t a single thing here with how empty all of this was.
When I came back to my senses, there was a part of me that felt that this was actually normal.
That was because I could sense the wind that was blowing all around us.
It wasn’t that strong, but it was enough for us to feel the wind coursing through our hairs. So at the very least, that confirmed that there was indeed wind in this place.
The only problem was…
“Where do we even begin?” There was no one that answered when I said this out loud.
After all, there wasn’t a single person that knew what was happening here.
But after a while, Lupus said, “Can’t you sense them? They’re all around us.”
I wasn’t the only one that raised a brow to look at Lupus, all of us looked at her with confused looks on our faces.
After all, as far as our eyes could see, there really didn’t seem like there was a single thing here.
However, Lupus was the god’s messenger for the God of Wind. It wouldn’t be strange if she was able to pick up on wind elemental energy that none of us could sense since that was just the kind of power that she possessed.
It was just that even if she said this, it wasn’t as if any of us knew where to start looking.
In the end, it turned out that it was a very good thing that we had brought Lupus with us.
With a single howl, the wind around us started to change.
At first, it felt like she was doing something to attack whatever it was that was hiding around us. But then it seemed like this wasn’t the case as there was no real lethality behind the wind that was stirred.
Then it seemed like she was stirring up some kind of special wind to send a message to whatever was hiding around us.
I could tell that this wind that she stirred was special because there was a trace of divine energy inside of this wind. It seemed that this wind was one that she was stirring with the powers that the god she represented bestowed her.
It didn’t take long for this to form a kind of whirlwind around us.
Then all of a sudden, a voice said, “Representative of Zephyrus, it has been a long time.”
Lupus looked in the direction that this voice came from before saying, “It has been a long time since we’ve seen each other.”
At the end of her sentence, there was something that none of us could understand.
There was a sound that was made, but it didn’t really seem to mean anything to any of us.
From what I learned about the elementals, this was most likely the name of this one elemental that Lupus was speaking to. And if it was an elemental that Lupus recognized, then that meant that this was most likely an old acquaintance.
Any elemental that was old enough to recognize Lupus was one that had known her before they were sealed. That meant that this was most likely the ancestor of the wind elementals.
The other ancestors had been hard to meet, but this one came out to meet Lupus when she called.
There was no doubt that this would be much easier for me since even the ancestor showed up.
It was just that the ancestor didn’t seem interested in me at all.
When the ancestor revealed itself, the other wind elementals also revealed themselves.
Though it was harder to see these wind elementals compared to the rock elementals and flame elementals. After all, it wasn’t as if wind really had an appearance in the first place.
Wind wasn’t like the gas that was outside, it was something that one really couldn’t see.
If it wasn’t for the fact that they were forming some kind of pattern with their wind currents, then they wouldn’t have had any form at all.
The wind elemental ancestor was much bigger than the rest of the wind elementals. With the sheer size of this wind elemental ancestor, one might even think that it was some kind of natural disaster.
It came up to Lupus and stood there in silence for a while.
When it finally spoke, there was a friendly tone in its voice, “It’s been a long time, friend.”
“The last time that we met was during the war of the gods.”
This confirmed that the two of them did have a connection.
But then again, the elementals did follow the gods in the last war and Lupus was the god’s messenger. It only made sense that they would know each other and would be familiar with each other.
After they talked for a while, Lupus turned to me and said, “This is the current master that I’m serving and the one that will save you all.”
“Then you must be the one that the prophecy spoke of. We have been waiting a long time for your arrival.” The wind elemental ancestor said without any hesitation.
The two of them were just pushing this story forward without me doing anything.
