Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2107: Volcano zone

Chapter 2107: Volcano zone
“Boom!”
This place was no doubt dangerous since it was an active volcano zone.
In fact, it was even more dangerous than the volcano that Ifrit’s dungeon had been in.
After all, that had been a single volcano while this was an entire volcanic range.
There were countless volcanos that were spread out in front of us and all of them seemed to be spewing lava.
There was no doubt that this wasn’t a safe place and yet here we were.
That was because this was one of the taboo zones and the place where one of the tribes of elementals were.
As such, we had no choice but to come to this place since we had to go and help them as well.
If it wasn’t for the fact that I had Ifrit, then it really would have been hard to enter this place with how much lava was spewing out from all around us.
But Ifrit was able to redirect most of the lava that was here and allowed us to carve a path to the pillars of volcanic rocks that were sticking out of the ground.
These were clearly the pillars that made up the edges of the array that sealed the elementals here.
It was hard to miss pillars like this.
After finding one, I didn’t waste any time in injecting my divine energy into the pillar.
But this time, there was no reaction that came from it.
It wasn’t that I couldn’t sense the divine energy that was coming out of the pillar, the problem was that this divine energy didn’t seem to spread.
Looking closely, it really felt like there was something wrong with this thing since it was weaker than normal. It felt as if there was something that was draining the divine energy out of this array.
It really was a strange feeling, but it was clear that there was something wrong with this array.
The problem was that we didn’t know how to fix it.
This was something that had been put here by the gods with divine energy, so it was something that only gods should be able to fix.
At the same time…
“If the array isn’t working, does that mean that something has happened to the elementals?”
That was the other thought that passed through everyone’s mind when this situation happened.
It wasn’t as if they were wrong about this since the whole role of this array was to keep the elementals sealed up and to make sure that nothing could happen to them. So the sign that the array wasn’t working definitely wasn’t a good one.
It was very likely that something had happened to whatever elementals were living here.
“It’s probably something with the array. We’ll take a look at the nodes and see if we can find anything.”
Though I said this, it wasn’t as if I was confident.
It wasn’t just that I wasn’t confident about what we would find under the ground, it was also that I wasn’t confident that we would even be able to find the nodes of this array.
After all, the array itself was without a doubt giant if it was the same as the other ones.
Without the line of divine energy leading the way, it really would be hard for us to find the nodes that made up this array. After all, it would be like searching for a needle in a haystack with how big this place was and how small each pillar was.
As we were thinking about what to do, Lupus suddenly came forward to say, “Go in that direction.”
We looked in the direction that she pointed out with her snout and it didn’t seem like there was anything in that direction.
However, there was a certain look that was on Lupus’ face as she pointed in that direction. For her to show this kind of expression, she had to have a reason to be this confident.
So I made the decision to follow her.
“She should know what she’s doing as a god’s messenger. It is the gods that sent us here in the first place.”
There were a few skeptical looks on the faces of others, but they still agreed with me in the end and we all followed Lupus.
After walking for a while, we arrived at another pillar.
This pillar was just like the one that we saw before.
It didn’t seem like this pillar was the problem here.
Seeing this, Lupus didn’t even stop as she moved towards the next pillar.
With Lupus leading the way, it didn’t take long for us to find the next pillar.
It was just that there was nothing wrong with this thing either.
Then there was nothing wrong with the next one and the next one.
It really didn’t seem like there was anything wrong with this array, it seemed like there was just something wrong with this place as a whole. It was as if there was something that was completely restricting this place and stopping the array from working.
The more that it was like this, the more that it seemed like there was something wrong with the elementals.
After all, it was either that the array was broken or something happened to the elementals that prevented this array from working.
But we didn’t give up until we saw the last pillar.
From experience, we knew that this array had six pillars in total that formed the array. Since we had already checked five of them, it only made sense that we would check out the last one as well.
Though as Lupus led us to the sixth one, I couldn’t help asking, “Are you sure that it’s here?”
She didn’t say anything as she continued moving forward and up.
Then when we arrived, I had to ask once more, “Are you sure that it’s here?”
This time, Lupus just looked at me with a serious look and nodded in response.
I could only look at the glowing lake in front of me.
