Chapter 2121: Land before time

“Phew…” I let out a sigh of relief in the end.

Even though it seemed like this stump had gained some kind of self defense mechanism, it didn’t seem like it had forgotten the job that it had been created for.

After the stump lit up, there was only a short delay before the lines started going out from it.

These lines of light were just like all of the other arrays that we had seen previously.

At least that meant that the array that this stump was a part of was still functioning normally. It meant that even if the stump had changed in its course of being here, it would still let us open the entrance down into the territory of the elementals.

Most importantly, it meant that this thing was still functioning as a seal for the elementals.

If it broke…then that would be a big problem.

Just a trace of elemental energy was already enough for the corruption energy to stir like this.

If the seal completely broke, there really was no telling what the forces of Destruction would do.

While we weren’t exactly scared of them, it wasn’t as if we were completely prepared.

There was still the mass production line that was functioning and not everyone was fully equipped yet. We could still use far more weapons to arm all of the people that would be willing to fight.

The lines of light continued on for a bit before they finally seemed to stop.

We already knew what this meant since we had seen it many times before and it didn’t take long for the lights to reach the sky. Seeing this, we knew that the entrance had been opened up and we knew exactly where it was since it was in the same place every time.

Only it wasn’t that easy to make it there…

Or that was what I had thought at first until I realized that what I had to be worried about wasn’t a problem now.

We had been too distracted by the array at first to actually notice it, but it was hard to miss once we came back to our senses.

I thought that we would have to carve a way to where the entrance was, but I saw that the lightning bolts didn’t seem to fall in this area.

In the area behind the stump, the lightning bolts continued raining down.

But in the place inside of the array, it seemed like there was something that was keeping those lightning bolts away. After all, there were twice as many lightning bolts that rained down outside this area.

It wasn’t that the array was stopping the lightning bolts, it was just redirecting it.

Still, this was very strange since this had never been the case with any of the other arrays. It really didn’t make sense that this array would be able to do something like this all of a sudden.

However, it certainly did make things easier. Not that the people that I was with trusted this array that much as they kept their barriers up just in case.

Following what we knew, it didn’t take us long to arrive at the entrance.

Looking down, it seemed like any of the entrances that we had seen before.

“Is there a strange smell?”

That was the only thing that seemed different about this place. However, it wasn’t as if we could tell what was different about this place just based on this smell.

Though it really didn’t take long for us to find what was different about this place.

“Where are we?”

That was the only thought that any of us had the moment that we came out of the entrance.

It really was hard for us to process what we were seeing because we had no idea what we were seeing.

The only thing that we could see was green.

“Is this the land before time?”

The others didn’t understand what I meant by this, but it wasn’t as if they were paying any attention to what I was saying.

This place looked like a place that was completely untouched by the ravages of time with how the plants grew in this place. These plants were anything but normal since they were far bigger than any plants that they had seen before.

It really seemed like a prehistoric place with just how big everything was.

It only seemed like a matter of time before a bunch of dinosaurs appeared with how this place looked.

But there were no such things that came out of the bush.

At the very least, it seemed like this place was quite the quiet and peaceful place with how there was nothing hiding here.

Though there was still a problem.

“Where do we go now?”

With just a rock platform, it was easy to see into the distance and see how wide this place was. Even if there were fake walls that were there, it really was hard to judge how far away they were with how big this place was.

So it made it clear just how wide this place was and how far we would have to search.

It really didn’t seem like it would be easy finding the elementals that lived in this place.

“At least we can set up camp here…”

If we had to set up camp outside while sleeping under the lightning bolt rain, it certainly would have been miserable for us. After all, it would take a lot of preparations to be ready to deal with the lightning bolt rain during the night.

At least in this place, we wouldn’t have to worry about losing our lives at any moment…

“Grr…”

Or that was what we thought until we heard this sound coming from the brush.

It sounded like some kind of wild animal and what came out was a wild animal.

This was a large sabertooth tiger…

“If this kind of sabertooth lives here, then does that mean that there really are dinosaurs?”
