The sabertooth tiger looked at us for a bit before suddenly pouncing at us.
The one that the sabertooth tiger targeted was one of the younger magicians from the Sorcery Empire.
On the surface, he looked like a young man.
However, that was only on the surface.
There was no one else that moved when they saw the sabertooth tiger moving towards that young magician.
That was because they all knew that there was no need for this.
“You actually dare to think I’m prey?”
Though he was a young scholar and magician, that didn’t mean that he was someone that didn’t have any pride. After all, it wasn’t as if it was that easy to become a magician in the first place.
So what the sabertooth tiger was doing now was basically disrespecting him.
With a single wave of his hand, there was a barrier that appeared in the path of the sabertooth tiger. The sabertooth tiger didn’t seem to notice that there was a magic barrier that was gathered in front of it as it slammed right into it.
After slamming into this magic barrier, the sabertooth tiger had a shocked and confused look on its face.
It seemed like this was the first time that this sabertooth tiger was even coming in contact with magic. Which was why it looked so confused when it saw that there was nothing there in front of it.
However, it wasn’t as if the young magician was done with just this.
He was a flame attributed magician, so it only took a single thought for him to summon flames.
Only this time he didn’t hold back at all.
He actually pulled out his staff and channeled a lot of his mana into it to summon a bunch of flames. With just how much appeared, it was obvious that he wasn’t holding back at all.
It seemed like he really was angry about being looked down on by the sabertooth tiger.
On the other side, there was a look of complete shock on the face of the sabertooth tiger. Other than that, there was this look of confusion that was also there as the sabertooth tiger had no idea what was happening.
This was something that I paid very close attention to.
I wanted to see just how shocked the sabertooth tiger was to the magic that the young magician was demonstrating.
From the reaction of the sabertooth tiger, it seemed like it had never seen magic before.
Once the sabertooth tiger was completely surrounded by the flames, the only thing that it could do now was…

It really was a strange sight seeing this large sabertooth tiger acting like a cat that was submitting.
When the young magician saw this, there was a trace of pride that appeared on his face. But more than pride, there was a confused and awkward look that also appeared there as he didn’t know what to do.
It wasn’t as if he wanted to kill this thing, he just wanted to teach it a lesson for targeting him as the weakest of their group.
“Let me try using taming magic on it.” One of the older magicians suddenly said.
The young magician looked like he had been saved when he heard this and he quickly nodded in agreement to this.
That older magician went forward and raised his staff to point at the sabertooth tiger.
The sabertooth tiger looked like it was struggling against something at first, but it didn’t take long for it to reveal a more relaxed expression. In fact, it even looked like it was happy to see these magicians with how it looked at them.
“Taming magic…it certainly seems interesting.” A part of me felt a bit jealous seeing this, but I quickly shook that off.
Once the taming magic had been done, we all moved forward to take a closer look at the sabertooth tiger now that we had the chance.
The sabertooth tiger didn’t resist at all as we gathered around it.
In fact, it even started putting on a show with a single command from the older magician that had tamed it.
It really felt like the sabertooth tiger was completely under the command of that magician.
From what I could see, this sabertooth tiger looked exactly the same as the ones that I had read about in my past life. It didn’t seem like there were any changes that happened with this sabertooth tiger even though this was a world of magic.
But from what I had seen earlier, it didn’t seem like the sabertooth tiger had seen any kind of magic before.
It was as if this land before time had been completely isolated from everything that was outside.
“Well, it’s certainly a good thing that these prehistoric creatures aren’t able to use magic or else we would have magic dinosaurs. Dinosaurs on their own are already terrifying enough, but give them magic as well…”
I couldn’t help giving a secret bitter laugh when this thought passed through my mind.
After observing the sabertooth tiger for a bit, I said, “Let’s go and see if we can find anything else. Let’s not forget the main reason that we came down here in the first place.”
Before the others could respond, there was another loud sound that rang out.
This one was even louder than the sound that the sabertooth tiger made previously.
This sound was so loud that it even felt like the space around us was shaking from this roar.
“Thump, thump.”
It didn’t take long for the source of these sounds to reveal itself.
This was a representative of the dinosaurs, a race that was beyond famous in my past life.
It was a race that everyone in my past life knew about.
From its large frame, to its sharp teeth, to those very small arms that it possessed.
