Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2124: Dinosaurs (3)

Chapter 2124: Dinosaurs (3)
After knocking out the dinosaurs and creating this wall, we waited to see what the rest of the dinosaurs would do.
Most of the aggressive ones that seemed like they would fight to the end had been knocked out with these attacks.
The rest of them were ones that had remained behind and had waited to see what would happen. They were the smaller dinosaurs that seemed like they were fence sitters.
It seemed like they still had hostility towards us, but they were aware of their own abilities.
These smaller dinosaurs seemed to have more awareness than the larger dinosaurs as they didn’t charge in right away.
But then again, in a place like this, it was normal that they would have this sense of awareness. For these smaller dinosaurs that were much lower on the food chain, they would die if they didn’t have this awareness.
After watching for a bit, it seemed like they lost interest.
Or it was better to say that they recognized that they wouldn’t be able to do anything to us if they were to attack us, so they were prioritizing their own safety instead of trying to attack us.
It didn’t take long for the smaller dinosaurs to clear out, but that was just what we could see with our eyes.
With our senses, it wasn’t hard to tell that there were a few that had pretended to leave and had actually hidden themselves away. They were just waiting in the brush and observing the situation to see what would change.
Since they didn’t make a move, then there was no need to worry about them.
Though it certainly was troublesome having these dinosaurs watching since it meant we would have to increase our guard during nights.
“Let’s take a look at these ones that we’ve gathered.”
The magicians and scholars that came along immediately nodded in agreement.
The dinosaurs that we had subdued were all still on the ground, so this was the perfect time to properly look over them.
The magicians and scholars were naturally curious about these gigantic creatures that they had never seen before.
As for me, I just wanted to see if there was anything different about these dinosaurs in another world.
From what I could see, I could tell that these dinosaurs were the exact same as the ones from my past life.
Triceratops, brachiosaurs, even a baryonyx which was even bigger than the T-Rex.
All of the dinosaurs that laid there on the ground were a perfect demonstration of all the larger dinosaurs from my past life.
Only when we looked at them closely, we found that there was one thing that they shared.
“No mana at all.”
We weren’t really surprised to find that this was the case, we were just surprised to find that there really was no mana here.
After all, mana was something that should have been abundant in this world. It was something that naturally existed in the air all over the place.
So it was rare to find a place that was completely devoid of mana like this.
The magicians and scholars even looked at the dinosaurs as if they were wondering how they had survived this long without it. They were looking at them like they would look at helpless animals.
“It’s not like they’re completely helpless, they can be considered powerful creatures among other animals…”
It was just that with monsters in this world, it wasn’t a fair comparison for them.
The magicians and scholars were certainly interested in these creatures that they had never seen before, only they came back to their senses once they had seen enough.
It wasn’t as if it would help us to observe these creatures.
Observing them didn’t bring us any closer to finding the elementals in this place.
At the same time, I had stopped them from killing any of the dinosaurs that were in front of us.
I could see from the way that they looked at the dinosaurs that they clearly wanted to cut them up to study them. It was part of the scientific process to study exactly how their bodies were structured so we could learn more about them.
But it just didn’t feel right to do that to these dinosaurs.
It wasn’t that I felt anything for the dinosaurs, it was just that there was no telling what was here and what they would do if anything happened to the dinosaurs.
After a while, the dinosaurs seemed to come back to their senses.
Some of them were limping because of the injuries that they suffered, but they didn’t dare fight anymore. The way that they looked at us showed the fear that they felt towards us.
Only they also tried to run away when they woke up.
When the magicians saw this, they immediately raised a magic barrier that stopped the dinosaurs from running.
I couldn’t help slightly knitting my brows when I saw this, but they spoke before I could.
“There’s no telling what will happen if we let them go now. We’re in an unknown place and letting them wander around is dangerous.”
I didn’t say anything in response since I knew that they were technically right, but it wasn’t as if I supported their idea of killing the dinosaurs. I didn’t want to provoke anything that was out there.
This time, it didn’t seem like they would accept this idea that easily.
It seemed like they were pretty determined to take care of these dinosaurs before they could do anything to us.
With how neither of our sides were willing to back down, it really seemed like we wouldn’t be able to solve this matter.
But what solved this matter was something completely different.
“Please let them go.”
All of us were caught off guard when we heard this voice before looking around for the source of it.
But we didn’t see anything around us that could have made that sound.
That was until I realized something.
