Chapter 2125: Far more than expected

With this idea in mind, I raised the hand with the Mark of God on the back of it.

But there was no response that came even when the Mark of God released the divine energy.

With how silent it was, it almost seemed like whatever had spoken before had completely disappeared.

Though at the same time, it was almost as if they were waiting for something from us.

After a moment of silence, I looked at the magicians that had their staff raised still and waited for them to respond.

Seeing the way that I looked at them, it wasn’t hard for them to figure out what I was telling them to do. However, there was a trace of hesitation in their eyes when they saw me looking at them like this.

They had no idea what was out there and they didn’t want to add to the danger by releasing these dinosaurs.

“Let them go.” I said in a calm and firm voice.

Hearing this, the magicians slowly lowered their staff and the barrier that was stopping the dinosaurs from leaving.

The dinosaurs didn’t know what was happening at first, but eventually they figured out that the barrier had disappeared and they were free to go. Once they realized that they were free to go, there was no hesitation from them as they all started running in different directions.

As they left, we could see the way that they looked at us.

Even though there was fear in their eyes, it was clear that there were traces of aggrievement as well. If they could do something, they would find a way to cause trouble for us.

I didn’t say anything about this even though the others looked at me as if they were trying to pressure me for doing this.

Once all of the dinosaurs were gone, there was the same silence as before.

It felt like we had been tricked by whatever was out there since they were still hiding after we had technically released our hostages.

But eventually, they showed themselves.

The moment that they showed themselves, we couldn’t help being caught off guard.

It wasn’t the appearance of what had appeared that caught us off guard, but rather it was the quantity of them.

When they appeared, we saw that we were completely surrounded by them and that was even considered an understatement. After all, the sheer number of elementals that had appeared was far more than all of the other four tribes combined.

It seemed like this place had the most elementals out of all the other places.

Though there was a part of this that seemed to make sense considering what kind of elementals they were.

The elemental that appeared came out of the bushes all around us in the form of flowers and other plants.

When they came out like this, it was very obvious what kind of elemental they were.

It was just that this wasn’t what I had been expecting considering what was above us.

“Why would the opposite of plants or wood be lightning? That really doesn’t make any sense at all…”

After they kept appearing for a while, the elementals eventually stopped appearing.

But by the time that they stopped appearing, we were already outnumbered ten to one.

If they wanted to swarm us, it would have been easy for them to completely bury all of us. Which was why the others looked a bit nervous seeing all of these elementals appearing like this.

Once they stopped coming out of the bushes, the same voice as before said, “Thank you for showing them mercy. I know that we are asking a lot of you since they were the ones that attacked you first, but they are necessary to keep the balance of this fragile ecosystem that we live in.”

“I’m sure that you’re more worried about that than us.” I said in response to this.

There was a silence that followed after I said this, but eventually the wood elementals responded.

“You’re right about that, but doesn’t that change with your appearance?” They gave a sigh at first, but then their voice filled with hope.

It seemed that just like with the other elemental tribes, they had received a prophecy regarding this matter. Which meant that they knew who I was and what I was doing here.

Since that was the case, I said, “Then I don’t think that there’s a need to waste any time, right? How about you show me to the source and I’ll take a look to see what I can do.”

There was only silence that followed and I couldn’t help frowning when I didn’t hear anything.

I knew that this silence wasn’t a good sign since it seemed like they were trying to hide something. And with the way that they were staying silent, it really seemed like there was something that made things awkward for them.

I couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but I did know that they were hiding something and that thing seemed quite important.

So in the end, it seemed like there was going to be some kind of problem.

“Take me to the source.” This time, I wasn’t asking for their opinion.

This time, I stated it as a fact.

The wood elementals around us didn’t seem to react after I said this, but I didn’t say anything else as I waited for them to do something.

After another long silence, that was when a group of flowers came out of the bushes and walked towards us. When they came out, we could see the true form of these flowers.

After all, it really was a strange appearance that these wood elementals had.

The flower was the head and the body was made up of the roots and stem of the flower.
