Once most of the matters in the Merman Kingdom were settled, there was a messenger that arrived with a message that made me leave right away.

There was a part of me that had already been expecting this message with how things had been going.

“They all got pregnant at around the same time, so it’s only normal that they would give birth at around the same time.”

However, there was a part of me that couldn’t help thinking about something else.

“They really are kind that they’re even syncing their birth for me. It really allows me to be everywhere at once.”

With how perfectly timed all of these births were, it really was like they were just waiting for me to settle everything before coming out.

“These children are already thinking of their dad before being born…”

That was all that I could think of with how perfectly things lined up.

Once again, I was too late.

When it came to passing a message, it wasn’t something that could be done instantaneously. Not to mention that it would take time for me to travel between the Merman Kingdom and the Kite Kingdom where Isra was staying.

So I wasn’t able to make it in time for the birth.

Though if one thought about it, it wasn’t as if there was anything that I could have done for her if I was there. There were all those different experts that had been gathered already that would be able to help.

Even in a worst case scenario, there was even the saintess to cast holy magic to help her.

However, none of that was necessary as it was a very smooth birth.

From what I heard, it was as if the baby just popped out as if they didn’t want to cause any trouble for their mother.

This had strangely been the case for all of my children…

It really seemed like there was something special about all of them.

Only the specialty of these children didn’t just stop there. There was always something else special about them that would cause a large commotion.

Which was why I prepared myself as well this time…

“He’s a bit smaller than a normal giant baby, but that’s expected since he’s only half giant. Other than that, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything special about him.”

That was what the doctor told me when I asked about the condition of the mother and child, but it really felt strange hearing this. After all, it was completely different from what I had been expecting to hear.

This was just a normal doctor’s report that didn’t have anything special about it.

“Wait, is that really it?” I had to ask while I was in the middle of listening to this report.

The doctor looked at me with a strange look when I said this before slowly saying, “Is there something else that I should be saying? Isn’t it a good thing that the child is healthy?”

An awkward look appeared on my face before I said, “It’s not that it’s bad for the child to be healthy, it’s just that this wasn’t the report that I had been expecting to hear.”

My words kind of trickled off at the end since it felt strange saying this.

After all, it really sounded like I was hoping that there was something wrong with my own child…

It wasn’t that I wanted something bad to happen to my child, it was just that this didn’t fit the precedent that had been set before.

Every one of my children had something special about them, so I had already been expecting something from this one as well. So when it was said that there wasn’t anything special about this child…

It really felt like there was something wrong.

But I stopped myself from asking the doctor anything else.

With the way that the doctor looked at me, it was clear that anything else that I said would just harm me. If this was my past life, there was no doubt that the doctor would have already called child support on me.

With a cough to clear the air, I said, “Let’s go in and see them.”

It was clear that there was a trace of hesitation in the doctor’s movement when I said this. It was as if he was deciding on whether it was a good idea or not to bring me in to see the child.

I really didn’t know how to feel when the doctor looked at me like this.

But in the end, they still brought me in to see the mother and child.

Though this birthing room was definitely not normal. This birthing room was a special one that had been built for Isra since she was a giant.

She had minimized her usage of the shrinking potion while she was pregnant since we had no idea what it would have done to the child.

Near the end, she had refused to use the shrinking potion since she wanted a natural birth.

For a human like me, it was like being a doll inside of a doll house. Still it was easy for me to fly up to her bed to look over her and the child.

As they said, this child really was smaller compared to normal giants. Even someone like me could see that he would have been around half the size of a normal giant baby.

Still, it seemed like he was healthy and that was all that mattered.

After seeing this for myself, I couldn’t help standing there with a bit of hesitation.

I just felt awkward since I didn’t know what to say to do what I wanted to do. After all, there were others that were watching and it would have been bad for me if they saw me doing this.

That was until Isra suddenly said, “Just do what you want to do. Is there a need for you to act this way around your own child?”
