Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2212: Finally, it’s a…(2)

Though the others in the room still had a strange look on their faces as they looked at me, it didn’t seem like they were going to do anything to me because of what Isra said.
Which was why I went over to her side and raised my hand towards our child.
I didn’t hold our child like one would expect, instead I placed my hand over their head and released my divine energy.
With how I was doing this, it almost seemed like I was doing something to harm this child.
However, that wasn’t what I was doing at all.
Instead of forcing the divine energy into the child, what I was doing was wrapping the child in the divine energy as I used it to test the child’s body.
What I was trying to see was if there was something special with this child that the doctors couldn’t find.
After all, the doctors were only skilled when it came to biological matters.
When it came to matters regarding divine energy, it would be hard to find someone that could match me. Well, unless that other person was Max who was a mad genius that I just couldn’t compare to.
Other than him, it was hard to find someone that was more knowledgeable about divine energy than me.
After scanning him for a while with my divine energy, I couldn’t help knitting my brows.
“Is something wrong?” Isra asked as soon as she saw this.
I didn’t say anything at first, but then I said with a shake of my head, “There’s nothing wrong with the child, it’s just that this wasn’t what I had been expecting.”
I could feel the way that everyone looked at me after I said this.
After all, what I said really didn’t seem like something that a father should say about their child.
Only the way that I was saying this was different from what they were thinking.
The reason that it had been different from what I had been expecting was because there was no reaction from the divine energy at all.
I thought that this child might have some kind of hidden power related to divine energy, but that didn’t seem to be the case at all. It felt like there wasn’t a single trace of divine energy that was in this child at all.
But if that was the case, then it didn’t make any sense at all.
This was a child that didn’t have any special physical attributes and didn’t even have a single trace of divine energy.
The more that I thought about it, the more that it felt like there was something wrong.
In the end, it only took a few words from Isra for me to realize my mistake.
“Does it really matter?”
A wry smile appeared on my face when I heard this as I realized that I had been wrong about this the whole time.
I had been worried that there was something wrong with this child.
I had been worried that there was some kind of plot against this child.
I had been worried that the child would become resentful in the future towards us because of his situation.
But now I realized that these thoughts were unnecessary.
After all, the one and only thing that really mattered was that this child was safe and healthy which was the case. If that was true, then it really didn’t matter if the child had any kind of special powers or not.
There was even a part of me that couldn’t help feeling a bit silly for the way that I had been acting.
“I’m sorry, I was thinking too much.”
Isra gave a simple nod in response before saying, “Come and take a look at your child.”
This time, I went over and properly looked over my child.
I didn’t look at the child to try and find something different about it, I just looked at this son of mine and admired him.
Instead of trying to find something different about him, all that mattered was properly teaching him the right values.
If I was afraid that he would be resentful about not having the same powers as his siblings, then all I could do was guide him to accept this and guide him to be closer to his siblings.
If I was afraid that there was someone plotting against him, then it would be up to me to protect this child.
After all, this was my son and it was my duty to take care of him.
Instead of trying to find an excuse, I should be doing my job as the father.
Though there was a part of me that also couldn’t help feeling a bit of relief.
“Finally, it’s a normal one.”
I knew that this was a bit offensive towards the rest of my children, but it did make things a bit hard because of the special powers that they had. After all, I knew that there would be a lot expected of them because of those powers.
It would have been for the best if all of them were the same as this child.
It would have been for the best if they were all normal without any special powers.
Not that I was discriminating against any of my children.
“If you’re done, I think that it’s my turn to see my godson.”
When Alidus said this, there was a strange look that appeared on my face.
After all, there was a part of me that didn’t know how to feel about him being the child’s godfather. In the first place, he was the one that should have been the child’s father, but I had NTR’d him in the end…
Still, it seemed like he was quite happy about just being the godfather.
If it was up to me, I wouldn’t have actually done this.
But since he could be considered childhood friends with Isra and he was a close friend of mine…
It was still weird in the end.
