Once things settled down, it was back to training for me.

Before I had been pulled away with all the different matters regarding my children, I had been teaching the relic users on how to form domains.

Because I had been pulled away so suddenly, I hadn’t been able to keep an eye on their progress during this time. But even if I was away, that didn’t mean that they had stopped training with their domains.

Now that I was back, it was time to see what progress they had made.

It turned out that they had made quite a bit of progress.

“So there’s this many of you that have formed domains already?” I couldn’t help asking when I saw them raising their hands to my question.

Instead of using words to explain, they just released their domains to show me.

I could immediately tell that these were indeed domains that they were releasing, but I couldn’t help being surprised by how easily they controlled them.

It didn’t feel like they had just formed these domains, it felt like they had had these domains for a long time.

I already knew that the ones that could use relics were skilled, but this was a bit too much.

Seeing them like this, I couldn’t help thinking of how I had struggled to find the flow of the divine energy and figured out domains. It certainly hadn’t been that easy for me, so I couldn’t help feeling a bit bitter about how they were using these domains now.

Still, it wasn’t as if feeling this way would change anything.

Since they had formed domains, the only thing that I could do now was test them.

“Let’s see what your domains can do.”

Instead of feeling nervous, it seemed like they were all excited when I said this.

It was as if they had been waiting for me to say this.

It was as if they had been waiting to test their domains against me.

I knew why they felt this way and there was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling excited as well. After all, I never had anyone to test my domain against before this either.

Domains were special and it wasn’t as if testing these domains against normal things would be meaningful. It was only when domains clashed with each other that one could find new things about their domain.

That was the case with my domain, though I had only ever clashed with one domain before.

No, there was another one…but it didn’t really feel like a domain.

I couldn’t help looking at Alidus as this thought passed through my mind, but I quickly turned back to the others.

The first one to come forward was old man Lancelot.

I wasn’t surprised that he was among the ones that had figured out how to form a domain.

After all, he was always ahead of others when it came to using divine energy and relics. It was only natural that he would be among the ones that had formed a domain the fastest.

Though when he released his domain, I was a bit caught off guard.

It certainly wasn’t what I thought would be his domain.

“Ice?”

I was surprised to see the ice crystals that formed in the air around him since the relic that he used was one that created divine energy flames. For him to form these ice crystals meant that his domain was the opposite of what the attribute of his relic was.

Old man Lancelot didn’t bother explaining as he charged at me with his domain around him.

Since I couldn’t figure out what his domain was from what I was seeing, then I would clash with it to see what kind of reaction would come from it.

The moment that the domains clashed, there was this change that happened to the ice.

Or it could be said that there was something that was restored with the ice.

These ice crystals had just hung there in the domain before this, but now it seemed like there was something coming out of the ice crystals.

“So that’s what it was, it was an evolution of the flames themselves.” I thought to myself the moment that I saw this.

After all, it was hard to mistake this when I saw the change that came over the ice crystals.

The power that old man Lancelot’s domain possessed was the ability to control temperatures. However, it wasn’t as simple as just controlling temperature alone.

It was the ability to isolate space itself and create pockets of different temperatures.

In those pockets, he was the absolute ruler over heat.

This really was a strange application of this flame attributed relic, but it was definitely a powerful one.

Especially since he had figured out how to remove the heat from that space as well.

Removing all the heat was without a doubt dangerous since it was equal to removing all energy from one space.

Still, it wasn’t enough to take me down.

With my control over my domain, it was easy for me to break down the ice and flames that old man Lancelot created. After all, my domain could be considered the ultimate counter to his domain.

“You’re creating heat and cold to make up for the attacks that I’m creating…” Old man Lancelot saw through what I was doing with just a single glance.

I was considered the ultimate counter since my creation divine energy allowed me to make up for whatever old man Lancelot was taking away. Which was why it didn’t matter how he attacked since I could always counter it.

Especially since I was much better at controlling divine energy compared to him.

In the end, old man Lancelot had no choice but to surrender since he knew that he wouldn’t be able to break through my domain like this.

But seeing his domain made me start to think about other things that I could do with my own domain.

There were even some ideas that I was scared of…
