SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will - Chapter 225 First S-Rank Item

Chapter 225 First S-Rank Item
Moon couldn’t help but feel a slight pang of regret as he completed the transaction. If he still had the Magma King’s core and the Druid Spirit’s core—both of which had been consumed in the process of accessing the Benefactor’s inheritance—he could have added another $5 million to that total, reaching $15 million in a single sale.
But that regret was fleeting and ultimately meaningless.
Using those cores to enter the pavilion had been more than worth the monetary cost. He’d gained forty attribute points. He’d acquired multiple Epic-rank skills at MAX level. Moon would happily spend $5 million or even $10 million to achieve those same results again without hesitation. Some things simply couldn’t be quantified in currency.
Power, knowledge, and transformation were worth infinitely more than money.
After receiving the $10 million credit transfer from Brian, verified through his awakener account interface. Moon took a moment to assess his current financial situation:
Current net worth: Approximately $15 million.
The calculation included:
– $10 million from this sale
– $2.6 million from Kael that had been transferred during the beast siege.
– $1 million from the outcast assassin (equipment sale plus bounty)
– Approximately $1.4 million in previous savings and accumulated earnings
Moon nodded with satisfaction. Fifteen million was real wealth, enough to purchase a few first order S-Rank equipment, fund long expeditions into dangerous territories, hire information brokers to locate S-rank beast hunting grounds, and still maintain a comfortable reserve for unexpected expenses.
He was well-positioned financially for the challenges ahead.
“Pleasure doing business with you as always, Sir Moon,” Brian said with a respectful nod, already mentally calculating his commission from this massive transaction. “Please don’t hesitate to return whenever you acquire more… exceptional items.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Moon replied with a slight smile.
He knew he’d be back. Hunting forty-seven more S-rank beasts would generate plenty of cores to sell, and he had no intention of hoarding resources he could convert into more useful forms.
After leaving the evaluation room, Moon made his way to the second floor of the Trading Center where Selene and Yara were currently shopping.
Moon found them easily enough, it was quite easy to find a blue girl in the midst of white girls. “What does this armor do?” Yara asked.
Selene was patiently answering each questions of Yara. She’d apparently taken on an informal mentor role, explaining Earth’s awakener economy and equipment systems to the young maiden with remarkable patience.
Moon approached them with a slight smile. “Found anything interesting?”
Selene turned, her expression shifting to curious. “Yeah, a few. How did your sale go?”
“Well enough,” Moon said neutrally, though his satisfied tone suggested it had gone very well indeed.
Selene nodded before gesturing to a nearby display case. “We were just looking at these light armor variations.”
“Did you buy anything?” he asked.
“Not yet,” Selene admitted. “I already bought some things for Yara during the time you were unconscious in the First Sanctuary. Basic gear, travel supplies, that sort of thing. She’s set for now.”
Moon nodded his head. “Okay. Well, I’m going to check out the seventh floor.”
Selene’s eyebrows rose slightly—the seventh floor meant S-rank items. But she simply nodded. “Alright. We’ll continue checking out the other floors. Meet back at the entrance in half an hour?”
“Sounds good.”
♢♢♢♢
After the sixth floor, the Trading Center’s entire atmosphere changed.
Only S-rank items existed from the seventh floor upward, and access was restricted to awakeners with VIP cards. Moon had gained that card after selling the winter beast’s S-Rank core.
The seventh floor contained Support-type S-rank items—artifacts focused on enhancement, utility, and survivability.
The eighth floor housed Defense-type S-rank items—armor, shields, and defensive items.
The ninth floor displayed Offense-type S-rank items—weapons, and combat-focused artifacts.
As for the tenth floor and above… those were exclusively for Evolvers. The kind of items that existed on those levels were beyond what any awakener—no matter how talented or powerful—should be handling.
Moon stepped onto the seventh floor and immediately noticed the stark difference from the crowded, bustling lower levels.
This floor was almost empty of merchandise. Where the lower floors had displayed dozens or even hundreds of items in various cases and shelves, the seventh floor contained only five items on display.
Each one housed in an individual reinforced display case with what appeared to be multiple layers of protective runes. Each one positioned to be clearly visible while remaining completely inaccessible without staff assistance.
And guarding these five precious artifacts were Evolvers—low-tier Evolvers, admittedly, but still individuals whose power exceeded even the strongest awakeners by a large margin. Their very presence suggested that attempting theft would be a spectacularly stupid decision.
Only one salesperson was stationed on the floor—a dressed woman in her thirties who stood near the displays with a polite smile. The moment Moon’s footsteps reached the floor, she turned to greet him with courtesy.
“Greetings, Esteemed Sir, how may I assist you today?”
Moon approached the displays, his eyes scanning the five items briefly before addressing her directly. “I’m looking for a support item that helps with mana regeneration as a mage.”
The saleswoman’s smile brightened slightly. “Then you’re in luck, sir. We have exactly what you’re looking for, this specific piece had joined our display just today.”
She moved to the leftmost display case, entering an authorization code that caused the protective enchantments to temporarily deactivate. Carefully, she retrieved a bracelet from within.
The artifact was elegant in its simplicity, a band of pale blue metal that emanated a faint, cool aura.
“This is an exceptional piece, crafted by a master artificer in the Second Sanctuary, this bracelet has been enchanted with regenerative properties that far exceed standard mana recovery items. It provides a good boost to your natural regeneration rate, approximately twenty percent and also grants a permanent enhancement to your total mana capacity whilst equipped.”
She held it up for Moon to examine more closely. “Additionally, the enchantment includes passive purification effects that help cleanse accumulated mana impurities, allowing for cleaner, more efficient spell-casting. For someone of your caliber who clearly engages in in combat, this would be an invaluable asset.”
Moon activated [Appraisal] while maintaining his neutral expression, analyzing the artifact’s true properties.
[Tidecaller’s Bracelet]
[Order: First]
[Rank: S-]
[Details: Crafted by an accomplished water-affinity artificer. This bracelet provides minor water affinity enhancement when submerged. +15% Mana Regeneration. +10 Mana Attribute. ]
Moon’s expression didn’t change, but internally he noted the discrepancies.
Fifteen percent regeneration, not twenty. The saleswoman had exaggerated by a full five percentage points, a common sales tactic that technically wasn’t lying (she’d said “approximately” to give herself plausible deniability) but was certainly misleading.
The permanent mana capacity boost was real: +10 to his Mana attribute. That was significant.
But there was no mention of any “passive purification effects” in the actual item description. That appeared to be complete fabrication designed to justify the inevitable premium price tag.
The minor water affinity enhancement was interesting but situational—useful if he was fighting in aquatic environments, but not particularly relevant for most scenarios.
Still, despite the saleswoman’s embellishments, the core functionality was legitimate and useful for his needs.
“What’s the price?” Moon asked, his tone neutral.
The saleswoman’s smiled. “For an S-rank support artifact of this caliber, the asking price is $4.2 million.”
