Staring at his newfound status screen in the privacy of the orbital’s luxurious cabin, Moon’s heart hammered against his ribs as his mind struggled to process the new information.
‘Super Lives,’ he thought in disbelief, the words feeling oddly weird even in his own mind.
Not only had he managed to kill a creature of a rank that apparently existed beyond even the S Rank that defined the apex of known creatures, but he’d been rewarded with an entirely new type of resource.
A currency so rare that the system itself treated it differently than normal lives.
[Appraisal]

[Spend 10 Super Lives to Evolve ‘Appraisal’ to Legendary Rank]
Staring at the evolution notification that had only appeared after gaining Super Lives, Moon finally understood the truth that had been eluding him.
He’d never been able to evolve Epic-rank skills to Legendary status not because he lacked a suitable target to copy, but because it was simply the wrong evolution path.
Super Lives—A currency he didn’t know existed—were required for Legendary evolution.
And Super Lives only came from killing Supreme creatures—beings so powerful and rare that even someone like Tom Glassy, sitting mere meters away, most likely had no idea they existed.
All of those forbidden zones that awakeners considered death sentences, regions avoided by entire civilizations because they housed “multiple powerful peak S-rank creatures”… perhaps those areas contained Supreme-rank beings that had been misclassified due to ignorance.
‘It’s essentially impossible for normal awakeners to achieve Legendary-rank skills. The barrier to entry is killing creatures that exist beyond known ranking system.’
He paused, another thought striking him.
‘Fortunately, the Super Lives I gained were also multiplied by my talent’s effect. Five instead of one. Otherwise, I would need to kill not two Supreme creatures, but ten of them just to evolve a single skill.’
Despite his success, Moon felt no trace of arrogance or overconfidence.
The beast he’d faced had been an illusion specialist, and the only reason he’d managed to overcome it was through careful preparation, deception, and the partial activation of an inheritance he didn’t even fully understand
The [Inheritor of Flaws] title had awakened just enough to save his life, providing hints that had allowed him to break free from mental domination that had reduced multiple S-Rankers to helpless puppets.
‘The World’s Flaw,’ Moon thought, his mind drifting to the mysterious figure who had left him that inheritance in the world of Lunaris. ‘If just the partial activation of his legacy helped me escape a Supreme creature’s complete control, just how powerful is the full legacy? Did he routinely hunt Supreme creatures of higher orders? What kind of existence could earn the title of a “Flaw” in reality itself?’
The questions multiplied faster than answers, creating a mental maze.
The revelations from the gate had completely shattered his understanding of how the world operated, revealing layers of hidden complexity that made previous S-Rank beasts seem like children’s games.
‘I would rather kill 50 S-Rank beasts than fight a single Supreme Creature…they are simply on another level. It managed to kill me nine times, despite my preparations, dozens of skills and inheritance…its scary.’
Moon’s mind drifted back to the Golden Fish.
That mysterious entity he’d encountered in the hidden realm, the creature whose very presence shook his heart.
‘Was that also a Supreme creature?’ Moon wondered, his throat tightening at the memory. ‘Or does it represent something even beyond even that? Another rank that exists in complete secrecy, known only to beings who operate at levels of power that very few could understand?’
The deeper he looked into the true structure of power and danger in this world, the more he realized how little anyone actually knew.
How many hidden layers existed above what humanity considered the apex of strength?
How many sleeping titans waited in forgotten corners of this universe, beyond the reach of current exploration?
And most troubling of all: if Supreme creatures existed in secret, if higher classifications waited undiscovered…
What did that say about the real threats facing not just humanity, but existence itself?
Moon closed his eyes, letting the massage continue as his mind churned through implications that stretched far beyond his current tasks.
He was no longer just hunting for power or seeking evolution. He was beginning to uncover secrets that would reshape everything.
Whether he was ready for that responsibility or not.
The world was so much larger, so much more dangerous, and so much more mysterious than anyone suspected. And somehow, he was becoming one of the few people positioned to explore those hidden depths.
The question was whether he’d survive long enough to understand what he’d discovered. Or whether understanding it would prove more dangerous than ignorance. Knock-knock!
The sound at the cabin door interrupted Moon’s deep contemplation.
“Come in,” Tom called out with a satisfied smile, clearly enjoying his massage and in no hurry to end the relaxation.
A middle-aged butler entered the room calmly. He wore an impeccable black suit with crisp white gloves. His face wore a gentle smile.
“Master, the Association representatives have arrived. They are currently waiting in the central lobby of the orbital, requesting Mr. Moon’s presence for debriefing.”
“Tell them to wait a few more minutes,” Tom replied without opening his eyes. “Moon isn’t finished with his massage yet.”
Moon, who had been preparing to get up, stopped.
