SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will - Chapter 290 Selling the Loot, Jeju Swamp

Chapter 290 Selling the Loot, Jeju Swamp
The S-rank beasts, including their cores, had earned him around 10.8 million dollars, while the various A-rank creatures had brought in an additional 1 million.
In total, after the Glassy Group’s generous payout rates, Moon had received 12 million dollars from this single transaction.
Checking his account balance, Moon noted he’d also received his monthly 5 million dollar salary from the Glassy Group, plus the 15 million dollar reward for clearing the S-rank gate that the Awakener’s Association had promised.
Combined with his previous net worth of 11 million, Moon’s current bank balance had reached 42 million dollars—and he still had the remaining half of his loot inventory to sell at the Trading Center for additional income.
Although Moon could have sold his entire inventory to the Glassy Group for convenience, that approach wasn’t exactly optimal. He still needed to maintain his relationship with the Trading Center, which offered distinct advantages over even the Glassy Group’s wide-reaching network.
While the Glassy Group was massive and had interests in numerous sectors, they weren’t quite as good as the Trading Center when it came to sheer abundance of rare items and exclusive merchandise access.
Moon needed to continue building his Trading Center reputation to unlock higher privilege floors, which contained increasingly valuable and specialized materials and equipment that would certainly be helpful for his goals.
Before leaving the Glassy Group branch, Moon invested a million dollars in high-quality rune inscription materials and a new storage ring. Runes had proven incredibly useful and versatile throughout his adventures, and he intended to maintain sufficient supplies for emergency situations and preparations.
After completing his general shopping, Moon headed toward the Trading Center, calling Brian—the same salesman he’d been working with consistently since the Winter Beast encounter.
Brian had been promoted significantly within the Trading Center hierarchy thanks to his successful dealings with Moon, and their professional relationship had become mutually beneficial.

After selling his remaining inventory—which consisted of an additional S-Rank beast from the Crimson Wasteland, the two S-rank beasts he’d eliminated during the gate, and his remaining A-rank creature collection—Moon received 11 million dollars total.
His net worth had reached 52 million dollars, a level of wealth that many Evolvers never achieved.
Moon visited the higher floors he could now access with his elevated customer status, but found no equipment particularly suitable for his current needs. His existing gear remained optimal for his fighting style and advancement goals.
Financial security was no longer a concern whatsoever. Now he could focus entirely on his advancement requirements without worrying about resource limitations or equipment costs.
Moon smiled with satisfaction as he prepared to return to serious hunting. Having sufficient funding meant he could pursue his goals with complete focus on the challenges that truly mattered—eliminating the remaining S-rank creatures needed for evolution and somehow locating another Supreme-rank beast.
It was time to return to the serious business of advancement.
Moon paid the modest portal entrance fee and entered the sanctuary, preparing to travel toward his next destination—the Jeju Swamps.
From his current position, the Jeju Swamps represented the closest viable hunting ground, approximately half a day’s travel away.
Inside the base, Moon’s attention was caught by a merchant selling some of the finest mounts available in the First Sanctuary—Direhorses.
Moon’s thoughts immediately returned to Mirage, currently resting in his Beast Taming Space. After a quick mental check on their connection, his companion was still deeply asleep, processing the tremendous energy he’d absorbed from consuming the Supreme creature’s remains.
With no alternative for transportation, Moon approached the merchant’s stall.
Spotting a potential customer of obvious means, the merchant immediately brightened with a sales smile.
“Ah, distinguished sir! You have an excellent eye for quality!” the merchant began enthusiastically. “These Direhorses represent the absolute pinnacle of mounted transportation in the First Sanctuary! Swift as the wind, strong as steel, intelligent enough to anticipate your needs before you voice them!”
He gestured dramatically toward his prize specimens.
“No other mount can match their endurance across difficult terrain, their intuitive understanding of combat situations, or their loyalty to skilled riders. Why, I’ve had customers tell me these magnificent beasts practically read their minds!”
Moon listened to the sales pitch with amusement, recognizing the exaggerated claims for what they were. The Direhorses were indeed excellent mounts—among the best commercially available—but they certainly weren’t the absolute pinnacle the merchant claimed.
After all, the actual best mount was currently sleeping in his Beast Taming Space.
“What’s your price for a high-level specimen?” Moon asked directly.
“For someone of your obvious discernment, sir, I can offer this exceptional beast for the reasonable price of $200,000. A bargain considering its capabilities!”
The price was actually fair for a high-level Direhorse, though Moon could have found cheaper alternatives with some searching. However, time was currently more valuable than the few thousand dollars he might save through comparison shopping.
Moon paid the requested amount and mounted the Direhorse for the journey toward the Jeju Swamps.
The difference between this mount and Mirage became immediately obvious during their travel. The ride comfort, the creature’s speed and agility, its intuitive understanding of his intentions—everything was several levels inferior to his companion’s.
Rather than feeling disappointed, the comparison made Moon appreciate Mirage even more than he already did.
His loyal partner was truly exceptional in ways that money simply couldn’t purchase.
The journey continued toward the swamps.
Half a day later, the sun began to slowly set as darkness began to take over. Moon did not rest or find a cave to spend the remainder of the time until the sun was back again, but rather he simply activated his lighting rune and pushed forward like a beacon in the dark night.
Monsters—like flies—were attracted to the source of light that ended up with their demise, becoming corpses that were stored in storage rings to sell once more.
Eventually, Moon finally arrived at his destination, he could instantly tell.
“This is the Jeju Swamps…as disgusting as I expected.”
