SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will - Chapter 298 Swordmaster, Two New Skills!

Chapter 298 Swordmaster, Two New Skills!
Notifications of kills and life gains continued flashing rapidly across Moon’s vision as the slaughter continued within the concealing mist.
‘Killing humans is profitable compared to hunting beasts,’ Moon thought as his lives total climbed higher with every attack.
Within sixty seconds of creating the fog cover, more than forty awakeners and fifty creatures had been permanently eliminated, their bodies scattered across what had become a graveyard.
The commanding figure who had been watching with his crossed arms, slowly relaxed his stance, his right hand moving to the sword sheath at his waist.
~Shing-swish~
The blade slid from its sheath without resistance.
“He’s both powerful and cunning,” the swordsman muttered to nobody in particular.
Then, he turned toward the massive S-Rank hedgehog positioned beside him. “We will fight him together. There’s no advantage to risking unnecessary injury, especially when reinforcements might arrive to support him soon. He was foolish to engage this many alone, we need to take advantage of that before it’s too late.”
The hedgehog acknowledged the swordsman’s words with a rumbling roar of agreement.
Both the beast and swordsman waited in silence with a handful of surviving subordinates, their eyes focused on a silhouette that began emerging slowly from the edge of the fog bank.
“Open fire!” the swordsman commanded immediately.
Long-range awakeners began unleashing their attacks at the approaching figure, while the hedgehog contributed by launching two of its sharp spikes through the air like spears.
Multiple attacks converged on the target at once. The figure had barely cleared the mist’s edge when the barrage of attacks struck him at once. But as the attacks landed and the target collapsed, the outcasts all had looks of shock on their faces. The swordsman remained calm. Clearly, this outcome was a possibility that he had anticipated when calling for the attack.
It wasn’t their intended enemy—it was one of their own awakeners, severely injured and stumbling blindly from the fog in desperate search of safety.
The wounded outcast had been desperately escaping the hidden enemy that had taken almost all of his lives when friendly fire struck him down. He died instantly, his few remaining lives extinguished by his own allies.
The moment the outcasts recognized their mistake, a massive fireball erupted from their blind spot.
The hedgehog and swordsman, with their sharp reflexes and combat experience, immediately leaped away from the blast zone and managed to escape the worst of the damage.
Their subordinates weren’t nearly fast enough.
BOOM!
The explosion consumed the remaining defenders entirely, reducing them to charred corpses that would never respawn again.
Looking at his permanently dead subordinates scattered around the blast crater, the swordsman turned toward Moon with a deep frown of both anger and growing dread.
“How… how are you killing them instantly? Death should only cost lives, not end existence entirely!”
Moon emerged from the fog for real this time, calm and collected.
“Why don’t you find out for yourself?” Moon replied in amusement.
Lightning began crackling menacingly around both of his hands as he prepared to launch an attack directly at the swordsman.
ZAP!
The hedgehog reacted with incredible speed, releasing one of its massive thorns in an attempt to intercept the lightning attack.
The lightning bolt struck the thorn instead of its intended target, lightning arcing across the beast’s natural weapon.
The swordsman seized his moment of opportunity, launching himself forward in a rapid charge towards Moon.
“Cover me!” he shouted to his S-rank beast companion as he crossed dozens of meters within seconds, his blade positioned perfectly to decapitate Moon’s head in a single clean strike.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Massive thorns began flying toward Moon from the hedgehog’s position.
Moon ignored the flying thorns that could kill S-Rankers entirely, focusing his attention on the incoming swordsman. The thorns weren’t guided, which made his decision much simpler. By engaging at close range with the human opponent, the S-rank beast would struggle to find clear shots without risking friendly fire. And by the time it managed to adjust its strategy, Moon planned to have already finished this confrontation.
Whilst he could kill it using lighting Raiju, Moon decided to keep it. Fighting two S-Rank opponents rarely came as an opportunity. ‘They will be good training partners. I also have new skills to comprehend…’
Moon immediately activated his class slot skill, absorbing the swordsman’s entire skill set in an instant.

He retrieved an A-rank sword from his storage ring—one of many weapons he’d acquired from the outcasts he’d eliminated earlier.
The swordsman scoffed with obvious contempt. “A mage thinks he can compete with me in swordsmanship? Against an S-rank with a unique Swordmaster class? Presumptuous!”
Their blades met in a thunderous clash of steel against steel.
The swordsman’s expression instantly changed from arrogance to pure shock as Moon executed a sword technique he knew very well.
“Impossible… How are you using my own skill?” the Swordmaster stammered, his earlier confidence vanishing.
Moon’s lightning discharged at the moment of contact, stunning his opponent for a crucial split second. He pressed his advantage ruthlessly, landing a deep gashing strike across the swordsman’s chest that sent blood spraying across the battlefield.
The wounded fighter leaped backward to create distance as soon as the stun vanished, but Moon pursued relentlessly, his movements becoming more graceful with each passing moment.
Fear began to take root in the swordsman’s heart as he realized something that went against everything he knew about awakeners, their powers and the system. Moon was growing stronger with every second that passed, his mastery improving in real-time.
‘He is not a hybrid. A hybrid can never be this strong at magic and swordsmanship. What is he? A dual class…such a thing exists?’
