SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will - Chapter 301 Claiming The Base

Chapter 301 Claiming The Base
Moon immediately cast [Purify] to counteract the effect.
The paralysis was instantly neutralized by his skill. However, Moon deliberately remained motionless, maintaining the appearance of being helplessly stunned.
The beast was still charging towards him at an insane speed, clearly confident in its stunning ability, moving in for what it expected to be an easy killing blow against a paralyzed opponent.
Meanwhile, the mage was beginning to channel what appeared to be a powerful spell, likely timing his casting to coincide with the panther’s physical strike for maximum effect.
Both enemies had positioned themselves exactly where Moon wanted them to be. The panther was approaching for close range, and the mage was mid-range. He could deal with the panther first, then move to the mage later.
Within seconds, the panther had closed to within ten meters of Moon’s seemingly paralyzed body.
Before reaching striking distance, the beast released another bone-chilling roar designed to re-apply the stunning effect and ensure its prey remained helpless.
Prepared for the ability, Moon cast [Purify] the instant the panther opened its mouth. His mobility was restored immediately, just as the panther entered arm’s length with its massive paw raised for a killing blow.
As the creature’s claws descended toward his body, a sword materialised in Moon’s hand
[Bird Dance]
Lightning erupted from Moon’s left hand, feeding the panther with its own medicine. The panther’s body froze mid leap, paralyzed by the lightning.
Simultaneously, Moon activated the Epic-Rank sword skill he had learnt just a few hours ago, albeit, he added his own touches into the attack, decreasing its power but making it different from the Swordmaster’s. He wasn’t afraid of the enemy team seeing him use two classes, they were going to die anyways.
The beast’s muscles seized from the shock, leaving it completely vulnerable to the incoming barrage.
Moon’s blade became a blur, mimicking the unpredictable flight patterns of hunting birds. His sword danced through the air in rapid sequences—each strike coming from difficult angles as he danced around the paralyzed panther.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
Dozens of deep cuts opened across the panther’s body within seconds. Blood sprayed the floor as Moon’s sword tore through fur, muscle, and bone with no mercy. His movements were so fast they created afterimages, the sword seeming to strike from multiple directions simultaneously.
The panther’s front right leg separated completely from its body, severed by a multiple vicious diagonal cuts that sliced through the joint.
Just as Moon positioned himself for the killing blow, dozens of icicles flew toward his position from above.
‘A mid-level element? Ice magic? Interesting,’ Moon thought as he leaped away from the barrage that was pinpointed to his previous location.
Although he was strong, he didn’t dare underestimate the barrage. He could tell that the attack would have seriously injured him had he stayed from its size, and numbers.
The wounded panther seized the opportunity to limp away desperately on its remaining three legs, leaving a trail of blood as it retreated toward the base’s entrance where the robed mage was advancing.
The mage moved to intercept his injured companion, clearly intending to escort the beast back to safety where the healers could address its wounds.
Watching the panther retreat with its severe injuries, Moon wasn’t happy. He wasn’t going to allow them the opportunity to heal the beast and even if the heals wouldn’t restore its previous combat power.
Lightning began crackling intensely around his hands as the lightning wolf started forming in his palm, growing with each passing second.
“I don’t have time to play around with you people.”
Before the panther could reach the safety of the base entrance, the Lightning Raiju flashed through the air like a bolt of natural lightning streaking across storm clouds.
“Not on my watch!” The mage shouted.
The mage reacted with impressive speed, conjuring a massive icicle and hurling it directly into the Raiju’s path in an attempt to intercept the attack.
The lightning wolf struck the icicle head-on, shattering it into countless fragments before continuing its trajectory toward the fleeing panther with a little loss of momentum and power.
The wounded beast sensed the incoming deadly spell and attempted to dodge at the last possible second, using its remaining legs to leap sideways.
But Moon guided the Raiju with precise mental control, adjusting its course to match the panther’s evasive maneuver perfectly.
Seeing the lightning wolf approaching rapidly, the panther could only deploy its final straw for life. ROAR!!!
A roar escaped its mouth in hopes of paralyzing the person controlling the spell. Sadly, the stunning attack failed miserably.
Moon had already predicted it, casting Purify on himself the instant the panther opened its mouth.
ZAP!
The lightning wolf struck the panther directly. The beast collapsed mid-leap, its body hitting the ground as it convlused erraticly.
“What are you doing?! Heal it, now!” The mage immediately shouted to the stunned subordinates of his at the gate.
The healers gulped staring in fear before hurriedly rushing to the beast in an attempt to save it. When they arrived at its body, the panther had already lost its life, cooked from the inside out. Its entire system had shut down.
Muscle spasms occurred every few seconds, but that was just the natural reaction of its muscles to the current flowing through them.
[You have killed the Level 25 S-Rank Speed Panther]
“C-Captain. It’s dead…” They stammered in fear, looking at Moon in shock.
To kill an S-Rank beast like the panther so easily, it was too fearsome.
The mage stared in shock at his dead companion, then slowly turned his gaze toward Moon with a mixture of terror and disbelief flashing in his eyes.
“You… what are you?” he whispered, unable to understand how the panther had been killed so easily.
Moon’s expression remained coldly neutral as lightning began crackling around his body. There was only a few of them left, and he wanted to use his new sword skills.
“Someone you shouldn’t have crossed,” he replied simply before charging towards them at an insane speed.
“H-He is flying! Shoot him down!” One of the warriors managed to say, as he watched Moon casually running on air.
