SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will - Chapter 418 Purple Lightning.

Moon paid her curses no heed, he wasn’t going to waste his mana on cleansing every single person, that was foolish.
‘Kill her subordinates…then kill her.’
Moon didn’t just want to kill her, he wanted to kill her close subordinates.
More than fifty Evolvers began to converge on him from every direction. Some were at the peak of 0-Star. Others were peak of 1-Star, the strongest fighters Layla had left. They came from the front, the flanks, above, behind. Spells and weapons and bodies closing in like the walls of a collapsing room.
Moon welcomed them.
He had just spent sixty-six thousand lives. He needed to earn them back. And every person charging toward him was carrying lives inside their body like coins in a purse.
The first wave reached him. Moon met it head-on.
Purple lightning erupted from his body in every direction. It arced between the closest attackers, chaining from one to the next, each bolt carrying enough power to paralyze or kill. Multiple Evolvers dropped in the first second. A swordsman broke through the chain and swung at Moon’s neck. Moon caught the blade on his staff, twisted, and drove his knee into the man’s stomach. The impact lifted him off his feet. Before he landed, Moon’s sword was already moving, Weaponmaster amplifying the strike to three times its base power. The blade opened the man from shoulder to hip.
Moon’s spiritual energy wasn’t the only thing that doubled, his stats had also rose. He was like a war general on the battlefield, slaughtering everyone that dared to cross his path.
[You have gained 6,200 Lives]
A mage launched a concentrated fire spell from twenty meters away. Moon raised his palm and a wall of magma erupted from the floor, swallowing the spell whole. He punched through his own wall, sending a barrage of molten rock fragments toward the mage that forced her to abandon her position.
Two tanks charged him with shields raised, trying to pin him in place. Moon activated [Heaviness] on himself and met the charge. The collision sent both tanks skidding backward, their boots carving grooves into the stone. Moon followed up with a bolt of purple lightning through both shields simultaneously. The metal conducted it perfectly, and both men collapsed behind their own defenses.
[You have gained 5,800 Lives]
[You have gained 6,100 Lives]
The lives were flowing back in at an alarming rate.
Moon cut through the crowd like a blade through tall grass. Every kill replenished what he had spent. Every death added to his reserves. The purple lightning chained between groups, the magma attacks blocked and countered entire formations. Simultaneously, Mirage, and his spirit were also dealing with his controlled subordinates, keeping them at bay, whilst Moon dealt with those that were deserving of death.
Every time a group tried to form up and attack together, one of them would crash through the formation and scatter it before the spells could be launched.
The throne room was becoming a slaughterhouse, and Moon was the butcher.
Lives continued to be reaped. Men continued to fall. The notifications flashing across his retina had become a norm, each one adding thousands of lives back to his reserves.
Within the span of a few minutes, Moon had erased half of Layla’s remaining force. Bodies littered the stone floor. Scorch marks and cracks from lightning and magma covered every surface. The air was thick with dust and the metallic tang of blood.
But Moon didn’t drop his guard. The two chained men beside Layla’s throne had yet to move towards him. Moon could feel their auras. Even from across the room, even through the chaos of battle, they radiated a pressure that surpassed every other person in the chamber. Peak First Star — the both of them.
They were watching him. Studying his movements, his skills. Waiting for the power-up to expire before they struck.
‘If you aren’t going to come to me, I’ll come to you.’
Moon grinned and abandoned the remaining foot soldiers attacking him. He activated [Air Step] and launched himself toward the throne, crossing the room in three bounds, each step pushing off slabs of air.
The two chained men raised their heads, staring at him in the air.
The metal chains in their arms rattled against the stone floor, then went taut as both men gripped them like weapons.
The first chain whipped toward Moon with a speed that blurred in the air. Moon twisted sideways, the links passing inches from his face. The second chain came from below, sweeping at his legs. He jumped over it and drove his sword downward at the nearest man’s skull.
The man sidestepped and countered with a horizontal swing of his chain that forced Moon to block with his staff. The impact rattled his arms. Heavy. Far heavier than the chains had any right to be.
The second man pressed from the opposite side, his chain wrapping around Moon’s sword arm in a coiling motion that tightened with every loop. Moon felt the metal bite into his skin and pulled back, but the man yanked hard, drawing Moon off balance.
The first man seized the opening. His chain looped around Moon’s torso, crossing over his chest and pinning his left arm to his side. The second chain locked around his sword arm, and for a single terrifying second, Moon was immobilized.
Both men pulled in opposite directions, trying to stretch him out between them.
The chains tightened, the links grinding against each other. Purple lightning erupted from his entire body.
The current surged through the chains directly into both men. Their grips faltered for a fraction of a second, the metal conducting the electricity straight through their arms. Moon struggled himself free before the chains could lock fully, tearing the loops from his body.
He landed between them and pressed the attack. His sword and elements worked in tandem, striking at both men in alternating sequences that forced them to defend rather than attack.

Sorry guys, the mass release will be delayed till later this month. I truly didn’t expect us to hit the ranking, and i’ve been really busy which made it more difficult to keep stock. Hopefully, the mass release will arrive by the tenth. Thank you for understanding.
