SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy - Chapter 470 - 470: Let me through

The eyes of the council members burned with rage; they looked at Silva with hatred. One spoke, “We were going to make you the limelight of the Arcane Tower, give you endless opportunities to reach the top,” he said, shaking his head in regret. “You really believe this man who created a rift for pleasure?”
He tried to make an argument, to make them seem like the reliable figures here, but Silva wasn’t buying any of that. He could smell and see the lie easily.
He turned to Kendall. “Tell me, what’s out there?” he asked.
Kendall’s lips curled into a smile. “A world unlike anything that your puny mind can understand,” he said, speaking in grandiose confidence. His eyes turned to the council members. “A world they wish they could be a part of,” he added.
“The Lumis region is one of the largest regions within the galaxy, generally ruled by three well-known figures.
The Arcane God, Otis; the Leviathan, Elith; and the Void Dragon God, Arack. These three are the strongest beings within the Lumis region; their strength is greater than that of normal gods despite being gods themselves.
They are the pinnacle of the Lumis region, along with the other gods that exist. But most things within the Lumis region aren’t run by gods. Beings like them are far too important, so demigods, sects, and organizations raise the hold.
The Arcane Council is one of them, created by the Arcane God Otis. He is the reason why the council is so well known and popular, and why lowly demigods like this try to suck off his greatness,” Kendall spoke. There was no filter to his words; they came as they were and they cut through the hearts of the council as they listened.
“I see,” Raze muttered. He then looked up at Kendall. “How do I get out of here and into somewhere I can get stronger?” Silva asked.
Kendall smiled when he heard the question. “Hmmm, seems like you are ready to take a step up. There exist many organizations in the Lumis region, each one good in their own way, but five stand at the forefront.
The Arcane, the Cosmic Dragon Sect, the Starfall Organization, the Primordial Chaos, and lastly, the True Blossom Sect.
These five are the powerhouses of the Lumis region, and are still regarded as top powers in the general galaxy as a whole. I hail from Starfall, a prestigious organization that generally allows the members to take hold of their activities and grow their own way as long as it benefits the organization,” he said with a proud smile plastered on his face.
“If you want to get into any of the organizations, then it’s best for you to find your way to planet Orion at the center of Lumis, because once in every full cycle, a great recruitment happens, and all organizations come around to host the Trial of Orion.
For context, the planet is named after a god that vanished. He would create several trials on that planet and have aspirants participate, and whoever survived would become his student and learn from him.
So if you participate in the trial and you are good enough, you might get some offers. You have some good skill and strength, even though I was heavily holding back. So you should try out, but do not get your hopes up for the major powers.
Or, since you are already a platinum for the Arcane, you can work your way up through that means, though you’ll forever be regarded as a sideway recruit,” Kendall said with a smile.
“So you are telling me that all the effort into their examination was for nothing?” Silva asked. His gaze landed on the council members; their faces twisted as they heard that.
“How dare you? We gave you an opportunity to rise and become a member of the Arcane!” one of them barked.
“Hahaha!” Kendall burst into laughter. He looked at Silva. “I still want to kill you for tampering with my project. You touched what’s mine.
But then again, your talent isn’t something that these leeches should take away from you for their own selfish desire. So I’ll help you out a bit,” Kendall said and then took out a scroll from his ring. He tossed it over to Silva.
“That’s a map to planet Orion. The next trial will be soon. I’m not sure exactly when, but you better be fast,” Kendall said. He then looked at the council one more time, specifically Elizabeth, and with a smirk, he shot into the air, vanishing from sight in that moment.
The air became heavy after that. The council members floated there without saying anything. They had stood at the pinnacle of this world, and then a talent like Silva came, someone that they could use to rise.
His coming was suspicious; they had felt it would bring issues, but now it had actually brought them. Luckily, the island was far away and remote; no one saw what had transpired.
“I guess this is it. It was short, but I’ll be leaving,” Silva said in a very nonchalant way, not caring at all. But then one of the council members vanished and reappeared in front of Silva, his hand stretched out and placed on Silva’s neck.
Silva looked down at the hand and then slowly at the old face of this man.
“You will not be leaving. You are a hunter under us; you used our resources for the exam. There is no way that we’ll allow you to just walk out like that,” the man said.
Silva frowned, staring this man right in his eyes.

[Reward: Unknown]
[Penalty: None]
The system suddenly sent a message that he wasn’t expecting. Silva was genuinely shocked to see it. He let out a chuckle and then looked at the man. “I would benefit so much from taking your head, but no, I don’t want your blood on my hands since you haven’t done anything to me, but that’s all standing on if you let me through.”
