This was exactly what Margaret thought.
If it were a one-on-one encounter, then perhaps if he was a strong S+, or really a stable Alpha-class Psychic, he would terrifyingly crush everyone in the Psychic Cultivator’s Association.
This was what Margaret worried about.
After all, they were the Psychic Cultivator’s Association, not a purely administrative body. Selecting higher-level mentors, Grand Mentors, strength is the most crucial factor. If one hadn’t reached S-Class, one couldn’t even pass the most basic threshold to become a Grand Mentor.
If Gu Hang truly showcased strong Spiritual Power, the impact of Dou Zhao’s previous blunder might be partially mitigated.

Her heart skipped: Could they have been discovered?
But looking again, she found that Gu Hang was still smiling while conversing with Dou Zhao and Ni Xun, and felt she might have been a bit too sensitive.
The Spiritual Energy communication she conducted with others was supposed to be very secretive, how could it be easily detected?
Meanwhile, Gu Hang’s conversation with Dou Zhao had also ended.
Dou Zhao seemed somewhat reluctant, but in the end, he agreed with Gu Hang.

Many among them could also do this. But simultaneously breaking through the psychological defenses of over two hundred A-level and above Psychics to achieve control?
Utterly impossible.
The A-level Psychics were effectively defeated in an instant.
The remaining sixteen S-level and even S+ level Psychics weren’t instantly defeated, but their Spiritual Power protection was merely holding on.
Margaret was the most shaken of all.
Upon personally experiencing the power difference, she instantly abandoned her rather naive past thoughts.
An Alpha-class Spiritual Energy couldn’t be controlled?
Then what was the present if not Alpha-class Spiritual Energy?
Objectively speaking, the intensity of Spiritual Energy Gu Hang showed exceeded the level of typical Alpha-class Psychics they’d dealt with, but only by a small extent.
And why they previously could manage with fewer people came down to the core difference: ‘control’.
At the Alpha level, Psychics couldn’t control their power. Spiritual energy would spill recklessly and disorderly, and the resulting effects heavily depended on the characteristics of the Subspace Power transmitted into the Real Universe, unrelated to the Psychic’s intentions. Typically, by this stage, the Psychic no longer retained the ability to think.
But if power of this level could be consciously controlled and utilized, the effect achieved would far surpass the chaotic release of Spiritual Energy.
Unresolvable, absolutely unresolvable.
This was Margaret’s sole thought.
Exerting all effort merely to avoid being torn apart by the force field Spiritual Energy consumed all her energy.
Plotting against Gu Hang?
Don’t make me laugh.
No ability to resist, let alone to plot.
And soon, even the ability to resist was gone.
When those A-level Psychics lost the ability to resist, freeing Gu Hang’s hands, or when he merely became a bit more serious, the suddenly intensified Spiritual Power quickly rendered Margaret’s protection ineffective.
Not just her, other S-level or S+ level Psychics were likewise overpowered within a second or two.
Eventually, more than two hundred of the Empire’s top Psychics were left floating about a meter off the ground, completely unable to move.
