Strongest Hammer God - Chapter 534 Light Hours

Kyle looked with shock at the arm that had just buried into his chest.
He could feel a hand holding his Core Spark.
The third person, a dirty man with yellow hair, was holding Kyle’s Core Spark.
“No rules,” the man said with a smirk. “If I wanted to, I could crush your Core Spark right now.”
Kyle just looked at the arm sticking out of his chest.
Yet, he only felt mildly miffed about that.
All the pain the Sin Flames had caused him kind of made this seem negligible.
“Ah, I get it!” Kyle said with realization as he looked at the yellow-haired man. “The strong rule, right?”
The man smirked. “Yep.”
Kyle realized that the society here was like the society in the Twilight Duchy.
There was no law.
There were no rules.
It was all about not angering powerful people.
Kyle glanced at the arm again, which was still around his Core Spark.
Then, he looked back at the yellow-haired man. “So, how does it feel to be inside a fellow man?”
The yellow-haired man grimaced, while the other two burst into laughter.
The man quickly pulled his hand out of Kyle’s chest and wiped it on Kyle’s clothing.
From what Kyle could see, his comment had annoyed the man quite a bit, and someone with a True Sin Aura had probably killed people for less.
But he hadn’t killed Kyle.
‘Yep, as I’ve thought,’ Kyle thought, proud of his amazing intellect. ‘There are no rules, but randomly killing me will probably annoy someone stranger than them.’
‘So, in a way, there are rules. It’s just that the rules are not official.’
‘You can totally steal from a farmer, but the farmer and his buyers might not like that and kill you.’
‘It’s basically just Karma.’
“So, as long as I don’t anger anyone I shouldn’t, I can just do what I want,” Kyle said.
“He got it far faster than you,” the red-haired man said to the blue-haired man.
The blue-haired man just rolled his eyes without saying anything.
“Wait,” Kyle said when he heard that comment.
“Were you also fucked over by the Array of Stars?” he asked, looking at the blue-haired man.
“Yep,” he answered casually.
“Aw, look at our little lucky lad,” the red-haired man said with a smirk, petting the blue-haired man’s head jokingly.
The blue-haired man just grimaced in disgust but didn’t push the hand away.
Obviously, he was annoyed and humiliated by that gesture, but still, he didn’t push the hand away.
The yellow-haired man also smirked at the blue-haired man, but the blue-haired man just shot him a warning look.
The yellow-haired man just held his hands up, showing that he didn’t mean any offense.
‘Red Head is obviously the strongest out of the three of them,’ Kyle thought. ‘Most likely, some powerful figure in this base does not like it when someone kills someone much weaker than them.’
‘However, if they are relatively close in power, that might not apply.’
‘There’s a chance that Blue Head is only still alive because Red Head doesn’t want to kill him.’
‘Usually, Karma is a deterring factor for people of this level, but since everyone already has a True Sin Aura, Karma doesn’t matter anymore.’
‘This is essentially the wild west.’
“So, are there any Laws I can comprehend here?” Kyle asked.
“The ground’s right there, and there are buildings made of metal everywhere. Go ahead,” Red Head said.
“Yeah, well, I don’t have an Earth Affinity, and I don’t want to anger the owners of the houses,” Kyle said.
“Well, too bad,” Red Head said with a laugh.
Kyle sighed. “Is there any ore around here?”
“Ore?” Yellow Head repeated with a snort. “Do you honestly believe there’s any valuable ore left on this planet? You think you’re the first one who came up with that brilliant idea?”
Kyle rolled his eyes at the unneeded hostility. “What about fire?”
“Oh, a Dual Affinity,” Red Head said with an arrogant smirk. “Fancy.”
“Thanks, but is there any fire?” Kyle asked.
Red Head chuckled a bit before pointing at a shining spot in the sky. “That,” he said. “There’s some Starfire for you.”
Kyle looked over.
Sure enough, this was not a random planet that gave off light but an actual star.
It was just…
“Thanks,” Kyle said sarcastically. “And how am I supposed to go there?”
“Just fly, dumbass,” Red Head said with an amused snort. “You’re a Transcendent. You can fly.”
Kyle sighed.
Talking with these people was frustrating.
“And how far away is it?” he asked.
“Oh, not that far,” the man said. “Just a couple of light-hours.”
Kyle blinked a couple of times without amusement.
A couple of light-hours.
One light-second was 300,000 kilometers.
One light-hour was over a billion kilometers.
Assuming the star didn’t move, Kyle would need to fly continuously for 125 days, and that was only true if the star was exactly one light-hour away.
Red Head said a couple…
Most likely, Kyle would need to fly for a couple of years just to get there, assuming the star didn’t move as well.
‘Actually, that’s not impossible,’ Kyle thought.
“Is there Ether in space?” Kyle asked.
For the first time, the three of them didn’t react with laughter or ridicule.
Blue Head looked at Kyle with interest.
Yellow Head sneered at Kyle.
Red Head looked surprised.
“Wait, you’re actually considering that?” Red Head asked.
Kyle shrugged. “Why not?”
“My guy, Starfire is a Level Six Law,” Red Head said with a snort.
“Oh, okay. Never mind, then,” Kyle answered with a sigh.
Blue Head looked at Kyle for a bit.
“There’s Yin-Fire on that planet,” he said, gesturing to one of the many planets around them. “But somebody owns that, and they want payment.”
Yellow Head looked at Blue Head with annoyance.
Red Head just scratched his chin before shrugging.
“Thanks,” Kyle said with an excited smile. “See? I knew you three were good, trustworthy, law-abiding citizens!”
Blue Head rolled his eyes, while Red Head snorted a laugh.
Yellow Head just looked at nothing with annoyance.
They liked messing with the newbies and watching as they stumbled around in confusion.
Usually, the newbies just left after a while to search for some Laws.
And yet, this time, they actually helped the newbie.
The reason they had helped was because Blue Head was reminded of his past self.
Despite his hair color, he also had a Fire Affinity, and someone had also told him about the stars.
Yet, when he had heard how far away they were, he had immediately given up.
However, the thing Blue Head hadn’t even thought about trying to overcome hadn’t been an issue for Kyle.
Kyle had actually been willing to try something as ludicrous as that, while Blue Head hadn’t.
Maybe if Blue Head had had a bit more courage to try wild stuff like that in the past, he would already be a Realm higher.
