She had made a Complex Level 2.5 Law out of Darkness and Yin-Darkness.

She had made a Complex Level 2.5 Law out of Light and Yin-Light.

These two Laws could both be used at the same time, which meant she had also belonged to the absolute peak of Fulfilled Transcendents.

Then, she had tried to fuse the Essences of her Complex Laws, which would have created an extremely powerful Essence.

The Essence by itself would have already been on the level of a Level Three Law.

After Infusion, she would have reached an incredible level of power.

Technically, it was possible to combine two Laws via regular Fusion and then extract said Essence to Infuse it into another Law.

In comparison, if one fused the Essences of the Law of Metal and the Law of Fire, one would retain all of their characteristics in a combined form.

The Essence would have a “mass” equivalent to the mass of both origin Laws.

The Duchess of Twilight knew that, and yet, she had still decided to use the Essences of her two Complex Laws.

She believed she could succeed.

After all, she had infinite time. At some point, she would get there.

The only True Battles the Duchess of Twilight could experience were the fights against the Champions of Final Fate.

Sadly, after killing two or more of them, they had stopped being a problem.

And by that time, she had already committed to her path.

Even if she decided to go with an easier route, like fusing the Essences of Yin-Darkness and Yin-Light, she was also missing True Battles to comprehend that.

A Fused Law would be a bit weaker than an equivalent Infused Law in the beginning, but after the other person created more Fragments of their Fused Law, the power of their Law would be a bit higher due to the added versatility.

The reason why far fewer people went that route was because of three things.

One, one had to be born with two Affinities and received a third Affinity that was not related to the first two. Without that, comprehending a third Yin-Element would either take forever or be impossible.

Two, if one already managed to become a Unique Transcendent, they would be very close to the end of their longevity. They didn’t have the luxury to invest even more time, and when they advanced, they could already start looking at Level Three Laws.

Three, the Primal Realm was next, and this Realm focused on the body. Having a more powerful body gave a couple of benefits in that Realm. For example, it made advancing inside the Realm easier.

There were a couple of ways to become more powerful, but essentially, it all boiled down to two things.

Fusing Laws.

Infusing Laws.

Of course, that was only true for the current level of power.

As people reached even higher Realms, there were even more things they could do to become stronger.

But that was something for the future.
