Sumatra's Greatest Fan - Chapter 133: We’re One

Chapter 133: We’re One
“Kid…”
“Get up…”
“Wake up…” The familiar voice of the Bhirully rang in his ears as Raurau got up with a start. And then, he regretted the decision.
“Hahaha!”
“Great! This is great!”
“Subtle Terrain Domination? I love it!” The maniacal roars of the Empyrean Boar King resounded as it treated the neck of the Empyrean Snapper like a noodle and was greedily slurping it out.
The sheer girth of the Empyrean Snapper neck was almost the size of the Empyrean Boar King’s body. But with an abundant display of avarice, the Empyrean Boar King was greedily consuming the Empyrean Snapper, despite being attacked by the second Empyrean Snapper.
“Ah…ah…AHHHH!” Raurau screamed in pain, feeling as if his heart was being brutally, violently ripped out and was being shredded dozens of times every second amidst regeneration to put him in a hell of soul-rending pain.
His Deity, the home where he grew up, the pillar of his spirit, the source of his identity, all Raurau could see them being erased.
He had been gently placed in a spot of safety, for the ground there was intact. A few metres before him, and the terrain seemed to have been cobbled up. Streaks of lava filled up the place, amidst meandering areas of scorched bedrock.
Farther away, fleeing radially away from the place, were Pranic Beasts native to the region. The sheer presence unleashed by the Empyrean Boar King made them mad from fright and instinctively churned them into fleeing recklessly, until their legs gave out or they died from their hearts exploding out of sheer stress.
“This…this must be a nightmare.” Raurau was unable to endure the sight anymore and fainted. However, he got up a mere second later and seemed perfectly fine.
With a calm expression, he noticed Cooter Clansmen corpses littering the place. They were the first to die during the crossfire, for they used their bodies as shields for their Deities.
Now, in a region with them as the centre, spanning a radius of 300 kilometres, only three living beings existed. The surviving Empyrean Snapper, the hunting Empyrean Boar King, and the spectator Raurau.
The blood of the dead Empyrean Snapper filled up the place, and suddenly, before he could even understand what was happening, Raurau found himself diving into the pool of blood. And then, he was voraciously consuming it, like a dehydrated man trapped in a desert for weeks.
’What…what the fuck am I doing?’ Raurau gasped in horror, feeling hot blood drip down his throat. He stared at his hands covered by the blood of his Deity and screamed mournfully, “NO! No! This isn’t me!”
“I didn’t do this!” He was unable to accept reality and plucked his eyes out.
“I…no, we did this.” His mouth curled up and sported a twisted smile, “This is our path to power.”
“A glorious future of hype worthy battles awaits us!” He found himself speaking, to himself. No, it wasn’t Raurau. It was something else.
“Who are you?” He roared and looked around, cursing upon hearing the familiar tone in his voice, “You…you’re supposed to be dead!”
“Bhirully!”
“Really?” His mouth curled up as his tone resembled the Bhirully’s, “Are you sure I died? Which scenario will you believe to be a reality?”
“The one where I died? The one where you Deity dies? Or the one where both will die?” The mouth quivered as Raurau slammed his head into the ground, stopping after the third hit. No, he was stopped, by his own hand that acted against him.
“H-How are you controlling my body?” Raurau screamed, “How? HOW!”
“You want the truth?” His mouth shivered and produced the Bhirully’s tone of voice as his hands plunged into his chest and ripped apart the muscles, “See for yourself!”
Thump X1!
Thump X2!
Thump X3!
Albeit a fraction of a time delay between each, there were a total of three thumping hearts within Raurau. One of them was Raurau’s original heart. The other two, however, were foreign. And somehow, they had been planted into his body while ensuring his immune system didn’t treat them as foreign.
His Prana, which circulated through the blood and funnelled into the two new hearts, didn’t seem to consider them foreign either, but rather recognised it as part of its own.
“We’re gradually synchronising. Soon, our body, mind, and souls would fuse into one.” The Bhirully commented, “Through you, and through your talents, I’ll rise to the stars.”
“And eventually, we’ll become a Transcendent and fight powerful opponents forever!”
“T-This cannot happen!” Raurau stammered in shock, “How…when did you do this?”
“How long do you think you spent time with me?” The Bhirully chuckled.
“Three years,” Raurau shouted, “But I was on guard all along…”
“Five years, kid.” The Bhirully chuckled, “The moment you succeeded, I spent a whole two years integrating myself into you, seamlessly.”
“The only reason you’ve become aware of my existence is due to the strength of our newly obtained Nature’s influence.” The Bhirully grunted, “It’s so potent that I’ve been forced to reveal myself.”
“It takes the two of us to endure it fully. Even then, there’s a solid chance we’ll go insane in the future.” The Bhirully chuckled, “But isn’t it fun?”
Slowly, it raised Raurau’s hand and pointed at the battle between the Empyrean Boar King and the Empyrean Snapper, “We’ve now reached a level where instead of being a helpless bystander, we can become a player on the same field as them.”
“Both of us have equal control over our body.” The Bhirully said and began to suck in the Empyrean Snapper’s blood, “Keep my craving for fights satisfied, and I’ll let you live your life to its fullest, without any interference.”
“After all, we’re now one!”
…
“Father…?” Runthral expressed his shock, noticing that he was on the floor right next to Torq.
“Stay put,” Raurau said as he placed his palm under Runthral’s severed midsection and pulled once, extracting all the toxins the Millinger had injected inside.
He then waved his hand over Runthral’s chest once, stunning the latter by making his legs pop out instantly, with enough speed to stir up faint winds.
’This regeneration speed…’ Torq gaped in surprise, ’It’s on Wally’s level.’
“What happened?” The Millinger frowned, for one moment, Runthral was in grasp within its mandibles. And in the next moment, he was no longer in its hold. Its eyes uniformly focused on Raurau, feeling pressured for some reason, ’I heard the only dangerous existence in the Cooter Clan was Wally.’
’Who the heck is he?’ It only hesitated for a moment before activating its Natures in full swing.
Primary Nature–Bone-Melting Artillery!
Secondary Nature–Inhibition Dome!
With a perfect offence and defence, it could buy time to understand the threat and figure out a way to deal with the other party.
Blood dripped out of its neck, bleeding from the strain caused as more than 400 spikes had been launched in an instant, bombarding Raurau. However, all 400 spikes paused mid-air, failing to budge even an inch forward.
Dangerous!
The Millinger instantly changed its mind and decided to flee. However, to its absolute horror, it was unable to move its limbs anymore. ’What’s happening! No! No matter what ability it may be, my Inhibition Dome can stop it!’
However, even after pouring Prana into the ability like a waterfall, nothing changed. The very space around it seemed to be pressing upon it, locking it in place. And then, it felt it, only for an instant, only because the other party willed it.
An ethereal face of the Empyrean Snapper, clutching upon it like its body was mere candy, and its absolute helplessness in the face of it, “Y-Y-You are…”
An Absolute Deity!
