Sumatra's Greatest Fan - Chapter 152: Traitor

Chapter 152: Traitor
Primary Nature–Daily Pet!
Secondary Nature–Kinesis Solidification!
And the moment the golden humanoid was killed, Torq began to gain his Tertiary Nature. But before that, he had to remove something that was occupying the Tertiary Nature slot.
It was a mask, turned into this form for ease of convenience prior to a transformation. From the very beginning, it would remain comfortably in his Tertiary Nature slot. However, the moment he obtains his Tertiary Nature, it wouldn’t have any space to reside within.
If he were to pull it out in its Pet form, the sheer size would exceed the confines of the dome. That would alert Nusantara’s Celestial, and without hesitation, ignoring everything else, it would descend onto Sumatra in an effort to snipe him out of existence.
Hence, he had modified it before regression to assume the form of a mask, which he placed on his face. It was a black mask resembling the night sky, dotted with stars. There was a stream across the left cheek, resembling the rings of saturn.
Upon placing it on the face, he was about to transform. However, Torq had made the setup as if the mask’s functions would activate moments before the dome’s duration ends.
As the mask rested on his face, the golden humanoid finished turning into a stream of energy and settled within his Tertiary Nature slot, granting him the respective power.
Tertiary Nature–Life Condensation!
An absurd Nature that allowed him to naturally progress through the Life Stage. The point to note here was the word ’natural.’
All the energy, resources, and time required to reach the 10-Life Stage was converted into its equivalent metric in terms of Prana consumption.
And with the consumption of the respective units of Prana, he could progress through the Cultivation stages. All the resources necessary for the same would be produced by his Prana, its consumption varying according to the needs.
This could be applied to both him and others, turning Torq into someone that could elevate the overall strength of everyone in a region to their absolute limit. Of course, there was a drawback associated with this Nature.
The moment he obtains the Nature, Torq would act as a lure towards every living being across multiple nearby regions, as if calling them to rush to him, like how a Major Treasure did.
This was permanently active, from the moment he obtains it, until death. Torq did have the means to deactivate it, which could be achieved through training. All the information associated with the method was in his memories.
Daily Pet was an Iron Grade Nature, so it hardly generated any influence on him. Kinesis Solidification was a Silver Grade Nature, so though it generated significant influence, he could endure it.
After all, Humans were considered to be Silver Grade existences in terms of potential and capacity.
Life Condensation, however, was a Gold Grade Nature. So, the moment he obtained it, Torq felt a severe strain physically and mentally. He felt like he was prey that everyone was out to get, which fuelled his paranoia.
The influence was only in its nascent stages, so he could still endure it. And best of all, now that he obtained a Tertiary Nature, he unlocked his highest state of power as a cultivator.
State of Harmony–Past’s Treasure!
It allowed Torq to bring out the powers of a past life, his past life, in the form of a Treasure and unleash it. Currently, even if he were to activate it, nothing will happen, as this was technically his first life after obtaining this Nature.
In the original timeline, Torq was a Transcendent. Hence, he didn’t have the Nature yet, and had only devised the means to obtain it.
Now was when he actually obtained the Tertiary Nature. In his next timeline, Torq would be able to summon Boiboi’s power and wield it as he pleased, given he reached the level enough to activate his State of Harmony.
Moreover, since Boiboi’s power will be unleashed in the form of a Treasure, it will be effective even against Nusantara’s Celestial.
“My objective, now, is to elevate my existing power as much as possible.” He thought and eyed Eureur Pet, “For the rest of my life, I’ll be training, Mother.”
“Help me whenever you’re resting.” He said, since Eureur Pet was busy trining to extract information out of Virala and was struggling against the latter’s resistance.
“How will you be training?” She asked next and looked around, “There isn’t anything useful to keep you alive for so long.”
“Even here, you need to provide sustenance to your body.” She stopped speaking upon seeing Torq casually swim around the confines of the water in the dome. He brought the submarine to the surface and sat on it, patiently meditating.
A few hours later, his eyes shot open with vigour, for the count of his Primary Nature had reset. Immediately in response, he pulled out the skin of a Mystic Human from the container in his possession and began to charge it up.
He eyed the medicine vials in the submarine, “There’s plenty enough there.”
He consumed the vials and charged up the Mystic Human Pet.
Two weeks later, the Mystic Human Pet was fully charged up, at which point it transformed into a Spirit Eater and spread its roots through the sea water.
Slowly, it began to bear Parute Fruits, which Torq intended to consume, “Thankfully, the Dralh Sea is rich in resources. With the Parute Fruits, we can sustain ourselves for at least a century or two.”
“Amazing!” Eureur Pet expressed her praise and then gave her suggestion, “If it’s just you, there should be enough resources within this dome to last you until the end of your life.”
“Quantity isn’t important, quality is.” Torq smiled, “Besides, if I’m alone, I’ll easily go mad in a matter of years.”
Next, he began to charge up Raurau’s skin, and another month later, Raurau Pet appeared.
“What is this situation?” He eyed Eureur Pet in surprise, for his memories were cut off at the moment Torq took the patch of his skin. So, he didn’t remember his final moments.
“I’ll explain,” Torq took the initiative, speaking for a few hours, at the end of which he concluded, “And then, I obtained your power.”
“I see,” He nodded and then asked, “How is Runthral?”
“I hear his snores from time to time.” Torq said, “He has remained silent beyond that.”
“Well, we can take our time with that.” Raurau didn’t seem to mind it, “As for your two Spirit Pools…”
“I have an Empyrean Snapper,” Torq said, “So, we can get Lightning Plasma from it.”
“What about Subtle Terrain Domination?” Raurau asked, “With your power, it’ll be easy to get it too.”
“Even though it’s great, the sheer level of skill it demands from me is too much. Lightning Plasma also demands excessive amounts of skill. I won’t be able to take advantage of their combo in a proper fight.” Torq then pulled out the Phell skin, “Instead, I want to create a Spirit Pool that can perfectly sync with the powers of Lightning Plasma, to create a Spirit Pool that is versatile across all situations and nets me enough power to survive specifically against our enemies.”
“Continue speaking,” Raurau said in interest upon seeing the Phell Skin. A few months later, there was the Eureur Pet, Raurau Pet, Mystic Human Pet, Phell Pet, Empyrean Snapper Pet, and a Centinger Pet, all working towards one goal–the creation of a new Spirit Pool.
Primary Nature–Voracious Spirit Dominance!
Torq used this power to create pure Spirit Pools from all his Pets and also extracted Raurau’s three Spirit Pools. And upon seeing Raurau’s third Spirit Pool, he grinned in joy, for it was the Billakin Spirit Pool.
Years passed in such a fashion, as Torq trained under Raurau Pet and Eureur Pet. He also obtained a solid understanding about Mystic Humans from the Mystic Human Pet. That’s how he came to understand Virala’s situation.
’The side effect of my Regression,’ Eying the old man Virala paused in time before him, Torq muttered, “The process of my regression, in a sense, can be considered an external influence.”
“By resisting it, he’s able to recover the memories of the original timeline. However, the consequence of that is him aging up, since his current younger self is a result of my regression.” He continued, “That means, he was an old man in the original timeline. It can only happen if he continued to survive past Sumatra’s destruction.”
A Century later, he had some more information, “And this bastard, ended up submitting to Nusantara’s Celestial.”
In the original timeline, Virala revived through his Mystic Human Stamp and lived in hiding, witnessing Sumatra’s destruction. He however was unable to amass enough strength to become a Transcendent, for the Bolts of Transcendence got exhausted.
To survive, he defected to Nusantara Continent, submitting to its Celestial’s will until his final days. Of course, he didn’t live until the end of his lifespan, for Torq regressed the timeline. “And the reason he grew this old is probably due to being subjected to the powers of a Transcendent, probably Nusantara’s Celestial.”
“He’s unable to resist it, which is why he’s its dog.” His eyes grew cold by this point, “So, that’s why he pulled that shit. Firstly, by using the Mystic Human Stamp, he wiped out the memories of his other bodies, ensuring only one body ages rapidly.”
The other bodies would eventually age too, since they will resist memory erasure. However, the Depraved Human Major Disaster will conclude before that, which was enough to get things done.
Virala’s goal were two things: First was to summon as many Bolts of Transcendence as necessary, for they had become a limited resource since the invasion began. This way, new Transcendents won’t appear. The loss of every bolt was one less Transcendent that could defend Sumatra.
Second, the rampant arrival of the Bolts of Transcendence would destroy the Dralh Sea, which meant the erasure of every safety mechanism the Royal Zinger had installed in the region. That would prevent the Royal Zinger from knowing what had happened in the region, which created plenty of opportunities to kill it in the future.
To aid that, Virala will, from behind the scenes, feed Quills to every prominent character on Sumatra, all to accelerate the Royal Zinger’s death.
“I know what to do next.” By now, Torq had fully grasped his abilities as a Blessed Clansman and finalised the creation of his ultimate Spirit Pool.
For another century, he trained relentlessly while building the two Spirit Pools in his Astral Pool and steadily cultivated to the 10-Life Stage. He also made one changes to the existing setup, “The moment I regress the timeline, a Minor Treasure will appear within Boiboi, containing the Blessed Clansman’s powers.”
“It will influence him to do what I did in this timeline, so that we can achieve victory through every timeline. But, since Boiboi’s identity has been compromised, there’s a chance this Minor Treasure will fall into enemy hands. Hence,” He made mild changes to the face mask and uttered, “Now, the moment I regress, I can make a decision. Only if I will it would the Minor Treasure appear within Boiboi.”
“Otherwise, he will just remain an empty vessel.” He grinned, “That way, the feathery bastard won’t be able to take advantage of my vessels.”
’And in the timeline where my preparations are done, is when the Minor Treasures will appear within all my vessels. I’ll make a conscious decision according to the situation.’ He thought and eyed his surroundings.
Most of the water had grown murky now, as every particle of nutrient had been absorbed. The Spirit Eater was no longer able to make any more Parute Fruits, for the area had been stripped dry.
“Mother…Father…” He eyed Eureur Pet and Raurau Pet and then focused on the other Pets, “My friends…”
Finally, his attention fell upon the Empyrean Snapper Pet, “Brother…”
“Thank you, everyone!” He patted his chest, “I promise to save us all!”
“Hmm,” Everyone nodded in response. There was nothing more to say, for they talked plenty in the past two centuries.
“Screw the bastards!” Eureur Pet punched the air, “As violently as we discussed.”
“Yes, Mother.” With moist eyes, Torq took out a needle that was as thick as his arm. He had been charging it up for the past two centuries. He moved it close to Virala, and then, he assumed his transformation.
The mask, created with a Cosmic Being as a base, with the power of Nusantara’s Celestial used to build it to completion, and the addition of various other genetics for cosmetic purpose, was his strongest Pet, so powerful that Torq had to at least be at the Mystic Grade to harness its prowess.
He never had to worry about that, however, as the moment he transformed into the Pet, Nusantara’s Celestial became his power source.
Plop!
The needle whirred into Virala the moment the dome vanished, vaporising the other party instantly. Since the body, mind, and soul were targeted, all bodies of Virala, alongside his Minor Treasures, if they existed anywhere else, were also implicated in his destruction, erasing him from the Continent.
“This time, I’ll be the hunter.” And then, Torq regressed the timeline.
