Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1111: Arrival

Chapter 1111: Arrival
After the battle last night, they encountered another elite class alien on their way. Now that Nathan knew each individual’s ability, he optimized the group even more.
As a result, the battle didn’t last as long as the previous battle. Of course, they ended up stopping for a bit after defeating the elite class alien.
They finally experienced how hard the journey would be. This was just the first trip, and the distance wasn’t as long.
If they continued to encounter more elite class aliens, they would be in trouble sooner or later. In addition, this was the first time they had faced so many elite class aliens hidden in the sea.
Fortunately, they finally found a visible clue that they were in the correct direction.
The water had gone colder by the day, so it was clear that they were near the North Pole. However, it still didn’t show any visible clue as to whether they were in the correct direction or just went around the North Pole until three days later.
Bella stood on the deck in her spare time, staring into the distance. She noticed something floating on the surface. “What is that?”
She squinted her eyes while walking toward the front deck to have a closer look.
“Is that… ice?” Bella’s eyes flashed. This was one of the things Nathan mentioned about the North Pole. The temperature at the North Pole was lower, so it wouldn’t be weird to see ice.
Due to the drop in the global temperature due to the supervolcano, it wouldn’t be weird if they saw ice much further away from their destination.
Now that they had found this ice, they confirmed they were indeed approaching the North Pole instead of circling around it.
“Everyone!” Bella turned around, trying to tell everyone that they were about to arrive. However, Nathan had actually been standing behind her.
The one who found it was not Bella. It was Kun. Of course, Kun transmitted that information directly into Nathan’s mind. Nathan hurried to check the ice.
“N-Nathan? You startled me.” Bella took a step back.
“Ahaha. Sorry. Still, it looks like we’ve gotten closer to our destination.” Nathan nodded while looking at Kun’s shadow underneath the ocean. “Kun. How are you?”
“It’s cold, Master. I’m able to withstand the cold with my ena for the time being. Pulling the ship until we arrive shouldn’t be a problem, but I might exhaust a large portion of my ena after that. And if I have to fight in this cold, I don’t think I can do it.”
“It’s fine. I should be thankful for your help all this time. Without you pulling us, we will have trouble reaching this place alone, and who knows when we will actually arrive. So, get some rest.”
“Understood.” Kun acknowledged the order. “Still, I can spot more ice… There’s one even bigger than any ice I’ve seen before.”
“An iceberg?” Nathan raised his eyebrows.
“Most likely.” Kun paused for a moment. “It should be visible to you now, Master.”
Nathan squinted his eyes, barely finding a big ice like that of a mountain in the distance. The ice was half as tall as the ship, but it was quite wide, so they might have to go around it.
“Can you push it away?”
“It shouldn’t be a problem. However, after reaching this area, I have noticed a decrease in aliens coming to the surface. It looks like they’re unable to withstand the cold?”
“The aliens have high elemental resistance, so they should be fine with the cold. There must be something else going on. For now, keep an eye on them. I will keep guard duty.”
“Understood.” As instructed, Kun continued in their current direction. Meanwhile, Bella seemed to be calling everyone regarding the finding. Of course, Revon and Sonia couldn’t see it directly since they were on guard duty.
“It looks like everything is correct.” Evelyn observed everything in the distance. “At this pace, we will find the massive icy land soon, right?”
“Yeah. Right now, it’s best for everyone to get a warmer cloth. It will be freezing. It’s best not to get any frostbite.” Nathan nodded before turning to Mae. “How is it?”
“We are on track. I think we will reach our destination tomorrow or two days at the latest.”
“Good.” Nathan thought for a moment. “I don’t know if there will be an alien on the North Pole or not. In fact, I don’t think this place is inhabited by humans. Since the aliens attack humans or predators in general, the number of aliens on the North Pole shouldn’t be that high.”
“Even so, we will have to be careful.”
“I know.” Nathan nodded.
Since it was a land they had never seen before, they proceeded even more carefully. Even Kun had to lower his speed, especially with more and more ice floating across the ocean.
However, they were worried about the increasing amount of ice. They chose to stop and come off their ship before they even reached the continent.
With their skills, hopping from one iceberg to another shouldn’t be too hard. It would allow Kun to have a good rest as well.
Fortunately, it wasn’t necessary. They actually found it the next morning.
All the people in the group, including those on guard duty, couldn’t help but stand on the front deck, staring at a majestic sight no one had ever seen before.
There was a massive wall of ice before them. It stretched from one horizon to another. Even those with better vision, like Evelyn, couldn’t see the end of this ice.
With such a tall and big ice, some even mistook it for a cliff made of pure ice. Still, the block had been blocked with so many pieces of ice.
Never in their wildest dreams would they have seen this wondrous land. In fact, most people in the world wouldn’t even dream of leaving their village or city, let alone traveling to another continent.
But here they were. They didn’t know whether they were the first ones in the world or not, but they were clearly the first ones from their continent.
Nathan smiled. “Ladies and gentlemen. I present to you the North Pole.”
