Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1115: Cthulhu

Chapter 1115: Cthulhu
“Something big is coming.”
They simply couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The entire sea was rising. Even Kun, who had such a size, wouldn’t be enough to lift up the sea. In other words, the one they were about to see looked like it was much more terrifying than Nathan had predicted.
‘Ah… seriously…’ Nathan gritted his teeth.
A long structure first punctured the water, gradually opening up the entire sea. The rumbling sound of the seawater gushing to the side filled the entire area.
“What is this?”
“A structure?”
The people widened their eyes in shock. The night caused the temperature to go even lower. Due to the emergence of this structure, the wind started to blow to their side, giving them chills that they misunderstood as fear.
The salty smell from the ocean water, for some reason, felt like the salty smell of blood spreading all over their throats and lungs.
The structure gradually ascended to the surface. More and more parts revealed themselves.
It turned out to be a building. The building was covered in green moss and a slimy liquid.
The very top structure was the tallest tower that was supposed to oversee everything within the area. Gradually, multiple smaller buildings emerged, having different levels that gradually led to the top, seawater continued gushing out from the inside and flowing down to the next buildings.
With that much water, it looked like the buildings were surrounded by so many waterfalls.
There were actually a few channels within. Thanks to the seawater, it became a river that gradually flowed down to the lake below.
But what was even more shocking was that the buildings continued to appear. The true size of the structure was so massive that they couldn’t see the end even when they saw it from above.
“This is…” Evelyn clenched her hands into fists. She was wondering how she should fight the alien. After all, what actually came out of the sea wasn’t a mere structure. “…a city?”
“!!!” The people widened their eyes. Once they heard Evelyn’s words, they suddenly realized it was indeed a city. It was a city for giants.
It was no wonder that the entire sea was being lifted up. And it wasn’t an ordinary city. It was a city of giants. Each building was massive. A single leap with their full strength might not allow them to reach the top of the door alone, not to mention the entire building.
The buildings gradually overtook the ice wall’s height and continued to rise into the sky.
The dark sea was gradually lit up as the slimy liquid started to emit a green light. It wasn’t bright enough to make it look warm, but it wasn’t too dim to make it hard to see. However, the ambiance was so perfect that the city looked so eerie.
“A city?”
“A city of aliens?”
“Are you serious?”
Vivian and the others simply couldn’t believe it. They had prepared themselves to die, but seeing such a majestic city gave them another thought. Even if they died, what would happen if the aliens within this city attacked humanity?
Nathan muttered, “Is this… the Sunken City, R’lyeh?”
“Do you know this?” Evelyn, who was next to him, asked with a dumbfounded face.
“I’m not entirely sure either. The bizarre architecture is characterized by its non-Euclidean geometry, colossal structure, and shifts in perspective that can make an observer unsure about what is vertical and what is horizontal…” Nathan gasped.
“You should have told us if you knew that from the beginning.”
How could he have known the city would be here? It was true that Cthulhu was slumbering within the sunken city, but did he actually bring the entire city with him?
He thought there was no way Cthulhu would do such a thing due to its size, but the reality was right before his eyes.
However, their shock hadn’t ended yet. Once the city was fully resurfaced, they could see a massive bridge across the massive lake at the entrance of the city.
When they thought it was all over, there was another column of water rising.
“There’s more? It’s smaller, but what is it?”
People panicked. They were already too shocked by the appearance of a city. The city size alone was bigger than the capital city of the Liaystian Kingdom or the Azilia Kingdom. The palace was even more majestic.
But there was another surprise for them.
The column of water gradually opened up. An elongated squid-like body was revealed. It continued to rise above the water. Tentacles started to appear in the nose area. There were two sockets of eyes that had yet to be opened.
The figure continued to rise to their level. More importantly, unlike the city, this one struck them with fear naturally. Without realizing it, their bodies were already trembling.
Its body was humanoid. The size alone was comparable to the current Kun.
A pair of wings was attached to its back. The wings had the structure of a bat’s wings but had a membrane similar to that of a lizard’s.
Its arms rose, one hand grabbed the ice wall, causing it to shake violently.
Due to the immense fear coming naturally from the other party, Sonia and Christopher had fallen on their butts, unable to withstand the pressure.
Nathan, Neyeid, Bella, and Melissa had a hard time enduring the pressure. Evelyn, Revon, and Vivian raised their weapons, still daring to challenge such a being.
Fortunately, Nathan managed to summon his familiars. Fenrir stood in front of him, withstanding the pressure for Nathan.
All of a sudden, the eye sockets pulsed once before they opened up, showing a pair of red eyes.
The people started to wonder. Were they planning to fight such a being? Even against the world class summoner, they were never afraid.
Yet, this one was on a whole different level. More importantly, there was actually a being even stronger than this one? The existence of the apex predator of the universe, the Outer Gods.
Evelyn gritted her teeth and released her own ena as though she was going to fight against this being.
Nathan panicked. If there were indeed a conflict, they would die almost immediately. Still, he managed to confirm the identity of this alien.
‘So… this is Cthulhu?’
