Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1129: Aurora

Chapter 1129: Aurora
“!!!” If Cthulhu had such a convenient thing, their trip this time would definitely be much easier.
“Really?” Nathan thought for a moment. There was one problem. Would Cthulhu lie to them and plant something else they didn’t know on their bodies?
Neyeid seemed to have figured out this problem and said, “Rather than all of us having this sigil, why not only a few of us volunteer for it? I will volunteer.”
It would have been bad if Cthulhu had planted some weird things on Evelyn or Nathan, so he chose to protect them.
However, Nathan waved his hand, not because he completely trusted Cthulhu, but because he had a more convenient way to solve this problem. “Let me solve this problem.”
Mae nodded and turned to Cthulhu. “May I?”
“I don’t know what you’re planning to do, but if that can reassure you, you can do it.”
Once Cthulhu agreed, Mae’s tails grew, blocking everyone’s vision. Nathan immediately took out his contract and explained it to Cthulhu.
Evelyn, Bella, and Vivian knew what was going on. The process itself didn’t take more than three minutes.
Once Mae retracted her tails, Nathan smiled while raising his hand. “In that case, please give me your sigil.”
“Nathan?!” Neyeid raised his voice. He volunteered because he wanted to protect him, but the latter chose to risk his life instead.
Surprisingly, Evelyn also raised her hand. “In that case, me too.”
“Captain!” Neyeid panicked. Why would these two people, who weren’t supposed to take anything foreign, volunteer?”
“Don’t worry, Neyeid. You don’t know the method, but we know it will be fine once Nathan uses that method.” Bella smiled wryly before raising her hand. “Me too.”
Neyeid and the others were confused, but with Vivian also volunteering, there was no point in arguing anymore. They also received the sigil.
Cthulhu simply touched the back of their palm with his nail. A silver symbol appeared and formed its true appearance, which looked similar to a stitch mark with a total of four horizontal lines.
“You won’t notice any change, but I have implanted the information about both languages in your head. It contains my Law, but instead of fear, it will transmit the meaning of that language directly to the other party.
“If you don’t need it anymore, I don’t think I have to tell you how to erase it.”
Nathan glanced at Mae, who nodded her head. “Yes, Master. To remove it, you just have to pour enough ena into it and let it collapse from within.”
Nathan smiled. “Thank you.”
“I don’t need your thanks. I do it simply because of my mission. In addition, that sigil will allow you to sense my envoy there as long as you are within 10 km (6 miles) from him. I don’t know where he is right now, so you have to search for him personally.”
“In that case, I have only one more thing to ask.” They already knew that the trip this time would take a long time. Finding the terrorist was quite hard as well, so they definitely traveled a lot. So, they might find this alien in one way or another, so it wasn’t something to worry about.
Instead, Nathan raised the last problem. “Do you have a map of the continent? What kind of organization rules the continent?”
“Unfortunately, I don’t have that information. Our race never really cares about such a thing because we don’t have any intention of interfering with humans’ actions.”
Nathan could see it from Roggoth. Roggoth didn’t care whether it was the terrorist or not as long as he could meet Nathan.
That was why it was understandable if Cthulhu didn’t have that information.
“I see.” Nathan nodded. “Once again, I don’t know if I can do it or not, but I will do my best.”
“That’s enough for me.” Cthulhu nodded. “The agreement has been established. Even this world is celebrating.”
“Hmm?” They didn’t know what Cthulhu was talking about. The world was celebrating? How?
Surprisingly, Cthulhu pointed to the window as if telling them to see what was happening outside.
They couldn’t see anything from their location, so Cthulhu offered them a ride. He brought them to the window, and there it was—an aurora.
The sky lit up in various colors as though it was covered in multiple layers of shining curtains.
The people dropped their jaws. They had never seen such a thing since they reached this land, so they immediately believed this was the world celebrating their agreement.
“So pretty.” Bella placed her hands on her chest, admiring a phenomenon that they probably could only see once in their lifetime.
“Yeah. The world is so mysterious. I’m glad I joined this trip.” Melissa agreed with her.
Only Nathan and Mae were stupefied. What celebration? This wasn’t the world celebrating.
“It’s an aurora, not the world’s celebration…” Nathan facepalmed. It was indeed beautiful, but he never thought Cthulhu would joke around with them as well.
“Huh?” They were confused because it was clear the world was celebrating. However, Nathan simply summoned Jinwu and pointed up, saying, “Explain, Jinwu!”
“Huh?” Jinwu was confused, but after seeing the aurora, he understood what Nathan was talking about. “Isn’t that what happens when the sun discharges its energy and hits the world’s atmosphere? I live in the sun, so I can create that if I want. I just have to fly to the sun.”
“…” They were speechless. With Jinwu’s explanation, it definitely did not sound like a celebration from the world. They never thought Cthulhu would play them around like that.
Still, it was indeed pretty. This was a phenomenon they had never seen before, and this place was probably the only one where they could see it.
“So, you can throw a joke too?” Nathan squinted his eyes, judging Cthulhu.
Cthulhu acted as if he didn’t understand what they were talking about. Instead, he said, “Since the important discussion has finished, should we have a talk?”
Nathan nodded. “Fine by me.”
Nathan tapped Evelyn’s shoulder and whispered, “I’m going to have a talk with him for a moment. It’s fine if you look around… right?” Nathan glanced back at Cthulhu to confirm it.
“Yes. Just don’t destroy everything. The city will submerge once again once the sun is rising tomorrow.”
