“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes. “Huh? What do you mean? Do you mean I can use your sigil to separate them?”
“No. Only my race can fully utilize my sigil. If you want to utilize that sigil, you might want to find the guide in Erendtall and ask for his cooperation. After all, I won’t move from this place.”
“Oh!” That was indeed a possibility. “But isn’t he supposed to be staying in Erendtall?”
“That’s your job to convince him. Besides, Roggoth has died, so your continent doesn’t have a guide now. Even if you manage to bring him there, it doesn’t violate the prophecy.”
“Fair point.” Nathan nodded in agreement. “I see. Well, I will try. Although I don’t know if that’s going to happen or not, it’s good to prepare a solution.”
“Is that all you want to ask? Considering I have roughly explained why you are able to transmigrate to this place and have the divine beasts, I don’t think you have a lot of questions left…”
“Indeed. There are only two questions left in my mind.” Nathan raised two fingers.
“How about you ask them away?”
“In that case, can you tell me first about what happened to Earth in the past?”
“I believe I have answered that question during my explanation. The singularity fought against the mighty warriors of the Blue Star.
“However, due to their lack of knowledge about our races, they only managed to achieve some success before experiencing a disastrous defeat.
“To avoid complete extinction, they chose to sacrifice themselves and bring Earth to another galaxy, far away from the battlefield.”
“Yeah. I’m talking about since they managed to leave, why would the fragments remain here?” Nathan explained his confusion.
“That is actually simple. Their original mission is to actually leave behind everything, including their old power. They don’t want their descendants to continue the battle, fully aware that defeat is the only outcome.
“As a result, they broke the fragments themselves, leaving behind only their legends.
“When our race found out that the Blue Star had disappeared, we desperately searched for the Blue Star because out of all the thousands of worlds that had the ability to fight, the Blue Star was considered one of the top ten worlds.
“We searched for the Blue Star and finally found it. We spread our existence to their descendants, but during that period, we found out what truly happened and realized the earth warriors wouldn’t come back.”
“So, that’s why you only leave behind the knowledge about your race?” Nathan crossed his arms.
“That is correct.”
“If that’s the case, when I travel to this world, the fragment of divine beasts is not with me?”
“Yes.” Cthulhu nodded. “Although I’m not entirely sure, most likely, when you come to this world, you resonate with the fragment left behind.”
Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought. According to Cthulhu, the fragment of the divine beast lingered in this universe.
When he was summoned here, he might have passed the divine beast fragment and fused with it, allowing him to summon the divine beasts.
This was the reason he could only summon divine beasts. “How about Anubis? Although he is a divine beast, there are sources stating that he is a humanoid creature.”
“Shouldn’t you ask him about it? It won’t be weird for him to say that his true form is that of a beast instead of a human.”
“Well…” Nathan had asked about it, and that was indeed Anubis’ answer. Not all the gods and goddesses in his mythology were humanoid. Some were beasts that desired to become human like him.
After understanding what happened, Nathan finally asked one of the two questions. “In that case, can I actually summon a human from Earth, like a hero summoning or something?”
“If you wish to summon their physical bodies, it will be hard. In fact, I should confirm one thing with you. Before coming here, did you die?”
“!!!” Nathan was startled by the question.
“Judging from your reaction, you did die. That’s why I can confidently say this. The reason you’re able to find this world is due to the fragment of the underworld.”
“If that’s the case, won’t other people who have died on Earth have the chance to be like me?”
“Indeed. However, you are missing one thing. I don’t know if you are aware of this, but the karma you’ve accumulated is rarely seen in the universe. Due to that karma and the mysterious force, you’re able to transmigrate to this world. I’m sure that this mysterious force is the one pulling you to this world in the form of a summoning.”
Nathan could think of two possibilities. The first one was that he had reached this world long ago and chose to strengthen his karma by saving the people in the world multiple times, which he deemed to be required if he wanted to defeat the singularity. The second possibility was related to his original soul.
What if the dreams he had seen were fragments of memory of either him or the original Nathan?
Although he didn’t know which one was correct, he knew that the mysterious force was the Soul Contract.
He could evolve the Soul Contract further as long as he got stronger. At that time, he might figure out the way to utilize the Soul Contract to cause his transmigration.
Nathan exhaled a long breath. He was curious about his origins and had found some clues. In the end, the answer remained the same. He had to get stronger to figure out the truth. Although disappointed, he knew he was on the right path.
In that case, it was time for the second question. The alien race might have been the leaders of the universe, but they were simply too selfish. They tried to involve other planets in their war.
Although Nathan had gathered his resolve to acknowledge himself as the chosen one, he still wanted to know how desperate the alien race was.
Nathan raised one finger. “My last question. You say that I am the chosen one and that my existence has the possibility of becoming the key to defeating the singularity.
“If I say I want your life in exchange for not siding with the singularity instead of your race, are you willing to give up your life?”
