Bella was surprised to find Melissa and Vivian suddenly came to her, especially with Ternius. With Johnson and Ternius fighting him, Bella could finally have the time to speak.

“What’s going on? Why are you guys here?” Bella asked.

Melissa explained, “We have a plan. We need your power for it.”

“A plan?”

“Yes. We need you to cover the entire city with illusions. Can you do that?”

“An entire city…” Bella pondered for a few seconds. “Thanks to Johnson, I haven’t used much of my energy. So, I guess I could. However, this illusion will be extremely weak.”

“That is fine. As long as you can cover the entire city, that is enough.”

“Are you going to fool someone?” Bella could only think of one person. That person had been the one trying to kill everyone. “But…”

“We’ve got a plan. As long as you can maintain the illusion, we will make sure it looks as real as needed.”

Bella thought for a moment before nodding her head. “Understood. I can do it.”

“Good.” Melissa nodded. “I want you to start working on it.”

“Where are you two going?” Bella asked.

“I will be throwing some trash. Vivian will take charge of the hostage rescue.”

“I don’t understand what’s going on, but good luck.” Bella nodded.

“Yeah. Just make the illusion as if we’re still fighting on the ground. Show something fancy, but that’s it. Try to make it last as long as possible.”

“Got it.”

Now that they had given the instructions, both Vivian and Melissa turned around.

“Are you sure this is going to work?” Melissa asked.

“Yeah. From the very beginning, they wanted to kill Nathan. So, I’m sure that they will do anything possible to ensure the completion of their request. I’m not entirely sure what they’re going to do about it, but we have to remove the biggest variable.”

“The people. We will kill all the enemies and evacuate the remaining people.”

Vivian nodded. “Right now, Nathan and the others have been doing their best to stop that terrifying attack, but eventually, it will stop. However, if they are freed from it, they can always dodge the ability the second time he uses that ability.”

Melissa couldn’t help but agree. She remembered the second time the Godfather used that ability, his target was Nathan. He hit the fake Nathan.

So, if they could evacuate the city, Nathan could pull the same trick again.

Melissa and Vivian came to a tacit agreement. They didn’t have to attack each other for the time being. What truly mattered was the fact that they fulfilled their respective roles.

The Godfather couldn’t help but widen his eyes in disbelief. He never thought he would be fooled at the last moment.

The Godfather raised his hand before coughing up blood. His body had almost dried up. He looked as if he had aged over twenty years in just a moment.

The black cell had also failed to regenerate.

What Nathan didn’t expect was that the Godfather had known about his plan. The Godfather knew Nathan wanted to interrogate him to get any information he could find.

That was why he used the last bit of his power to utilize the black cell. “Consume me, my master.”

Xolotl’s black lightning struck down, but instead of harming the Godfather, it tased him to stop him from moving, especially the black cell.
