Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1577: Divine Rule

Chapter 1577: Divine Rule
Three weeks ago.
“What kind of rule do you intend to form?” Xolotl asked.
Nathan smiled. “Even I shouldn’t tell you, should I? One’s rule is a secret.”
Xolotl didn’t feel offended. This wasn’t a lack of trust from Nathan. Because if Nathan asked him the same thing, Xolotl would be giving the same answer.
Xolotl was satisfied instead. “Good. It looks like you are ready to form your rule.”
Nathan closed his eyes, feeling his entire being. There was one rule that kept appearing in his mind.
It became even more apparent after reading the diary. The original Nathan had become a true god, yet it was not enough to face Yog-Sothoth.
In that case, he had to become stronger than him. Just a simple rule for the sake of becoming a god wouldn’t be enough.
After all, he had to face not only Yog-Sothoth but also Azathoth.
That was why he had to get even stronger.
’If I want to beat those monsters, I might have to become a monster myself.’ Nathan knew that a normal solution wouldn’t be enough. That was why he planned to take one step further.
The number of rules might matter, as the more rules one possessed, the stronger their godhood would be.
However, Nathan applied one more restriction in his own rule. It was like having a rule on top of a rule.
’I am… nothing but a space that is located in a certain time…’
…
Nathan inhaled quietly as the elite class alien approached him.
The elite class alien activated its unique ability. The strength in its body erupted as the alien punched Nathan.
“Nathan (Teacher)!” Selena and the others panicked.
Right before the fist reached him, Nathan opened his eyes. His eyes had changed.
Before, even with the Chrono Vision, it wouldn’t change much, but this time his pupils emitted a faint blue light. Rather than a clock or hourglass that represented the time, his pupils formed a symbol. And that symbol was ’infinite.’
Nathan had fully accepted this rule and integrated it with his body.
The moment Nathan activated this rule, the world changed, at least for him.
The world looked like it had become an extended chessboard.
The elite class alien punched him with all its might, forming a 200-meter-radius crater. The impact was so violent that it shook the ground briefly.
The three girls turned pale. Why wouldn’t Nathan do anything?
Or that was what they believed. Nathan looked like he didn’t do anything, but in fact, he had done something.
After the punch landed, the alien noticed there was no impact that indicated its fist had ever hit Nathan.
In other words, Nathan was already gone.
’I am… nothing but a space located in a certain time…’
Because he was a mere space, that space could be arranged, not only for the position of the space but also its location through the entire timeline.
The alien suddenly turned around. In this chessboard world, the alien realized there was a being that it couldn’t describe directly staring at its body.
It was trying to take a look at that existence behind him. It raised its head and finally witnessed that existence.
Nathan’s figure had become bigger, looking at the alien as if it was nothing but a mere piece on this board. Just from the presence alone, the existence felt the immeasurable pressure that prevented its body from moving.
The gaze scared the alien instinctively. It made the alien feel like it was nothing but a cute, little prey that could do nothing but swallow whole.
Nathan raised both hands, looking at the chessboard from a much larger perspective.
The chessboard shrank, turning into a miniature world that only had the alien and the surrounding space within it.
“!!!” Selena and the others noticed that the alien was actually shaking violently.
’Where is Nathan?’
’Why is the alien looking so scared?’
’What is the alien staring at?’
They couldn’t help but ask those questions in their mind as Nathan’s existence remained vanished.
Nathan grabbed the miniature world and started compressing that world. “Be erased by space and time, as your existence is also nothing but a mere dimension located within a certain time.”
The alien felt unimaginable pressure as the void shook violently, producing a burst of energy that could be felt even in the real world.
“Space Time Erasure.”
“Shiii!” The alien shrieked in fear and pain. It was as if the alien consciousness took over the black cell just to beg for its life.
But its body soon bent in a weird way and disappeared into nothing.
Nathan opened his hands again, and the miniature world was gone. The void erupted and shook the real world violently as if a real earthquake had just struck the area.
Selena, Noelle, and Iris dropped their jaws to the ground. Their horrified expression reflected their lack of knowledge about this ability.
It was a much more terrifying ability than whatever they had in mind.
Nathan’s existence soon formed on top of the alien that had just vanished without a trace. There was a serene atmosphere, otherworldly even, around him.
“Nathan…” Selena was wondering what was going on. She was worried Nathan was getting reckless again.
Nathan raised his eyes as that pair of eyes gave a chilling sensation to the three girls who looked at them.
“!!!” The three girls halted their steps. Their bodies were frozen as if their instincts were telling them not to approach him.
In that one second, Nathan’s chessboard world had expanded to not only the three girls but also all the nearby aliens.
Deities like Lilith and Amphitrite definitely could feel his power.
Xolotl panicked and rushed to him, while Garuda had arrived and said, “Master. Please control your abilities.”
Nathan closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. However, his pupils remained unchanged. The ’infinity’ symbol remained on his pupils.
Although he was standing there, if he wanted to, he could look at the world from a third-person omniscient perspective as if he were watching the world like a simulation.
Nathan said, “No need to worry. It is under control.”
This was his first rule. A rule within a rule.
