Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1579: Reaching the Outpost

Chapter 1579: Reaching the Outpost
“This is the outpost. We are going to stay here for a few nights. Let’s start cleaning up this place. Noelle, Selena. Both of you sweep everything in a clockwise direction. Iris and I will go in the opposite direction.”
Nathan gave his command while looking at the ruined fortress. It was once used as an outpost during the conquest.
It was the closest place to the so-called main fortress that Luna pointed out. Since they expected there would be a big alien nest in there, it was better to stay here and absorb all their cores first before heading to that fortress.
There was no objection from the girls, so the group immediately split up.
They summoned their familiars at the same time.
It had been two days since they had entered the depths of the alien territory. As people had been talking about, the number of aliens increased drastically. In addition, their strength had gradually become abnormal.
Usually, they would have a hard time finding an elite class alien. At most, there would be two to three elite class aliens a day even after the volcanic eruption.
But in the past two days, they had actually encountered ten elite class aliens.
Since this place had yet to be explored, the number of aliens remained high, so they were pretty exhausted.
They had to recuperate and get even stronger. In this group, only Nathan was able to kill an elite class alien easily. Even then, he would need a large amount of energy.
If they continued to the main fortress in this condition, they would be screwed if they ended up finding an alpha class alien in the nest.
So, the group swept all the aliens inside the base and the surrounding area. It took them a few hours, but they managed to get it done before the sky turned dark.
They quickly set up their camp and took turns to absorb the cores.
Iris and Noelle were the first ones to absorb the cores. Since they split the cores evenly, Iris would have no trouble in becoming an arcane level summoner.
Her energy had reached that level, but her mastery over her skills had yet to reach an arcane level summoner. Still, with Nathan guiding her personally, it would only take a few more days until she became a proper arcane level summoner.
On the other hand, Noelle should be able to possess enough energy to summon her next familiar once they clear out the aliens in the main fortress.
Of course, they hadn’t confirmed whether there was indeed a nest or not, but the probability was too high.
Selena sat down between his legs with her back against his chest. “Now that we’re in this safe zone, are you going to talk about your situation?”
Nathan shook his head. “I’m sorry. My situation is rather unique, so I can’t tell you yet. However, what I can tell you is I have made a unique rule that is stronger than a normal rule. And these eyes… are the byproducts.”
Selena looked down. She would be lying if she weren’t disappointed, but everyone had their own secrets. It wasn’t her place to force Nathan to reveal his secret.
“I understand. Just tell me one thing. Is your life in danger?”
“No. Everything is under control. Once I’ve gotten used to this power, life should go as usual.”
Selena sighed. “All right then. I won’t ask anymore. Just make sure you don’t push yourself too hard.”
“Of course.” Nathan smiled.
“Anyway, what do you think of this group? Do you think we have a chance?”
“I think yes.” Nathan nodded with a serious expression. “It will be hard, but we should be able to somehow reach the portal. Strength won’t be a problem, but we really need everyone to form their rules and divine body before going to another world.
“Only by forging a divine body that normal poisons won’t work on you. In other worlds, the air itself can be a poison. Well, you might be able to exit this world, like… going so high that you will see this world entirely.”
“Really? But won’t it be covered by the ash cloud?”
“That’s true, but it’s been almost two years since the volcanic eruption. A massive amount of ash has fallen to the ground. We might be able to wipe the remaining volcanic ash once we reach that stage.
“Maybe, in another twelve months, the cloud will become so thin that we can destroy it ourselves. With the cooperation of other summoners, it might be possible. At that time, the world food chain will gradually return to normal.”
“That will be excellent. I hope that this disaster passes soon.” Selena closed her eyes, imagining the world when the sky was still clear.
Nathan asked, “How close are you to forming your rule?”
“I will still need some time. I’m planning to summon a new familiar first, then reach the crystal fusion stage, and then form my own rule. However, I have already made some progress with my own rule, so once I reach the crystal fusion stage, it shouldn’t take that long before the first rule is formed.”
“That’s good. I suggest you focus on the rules. The new familiar has been set, the crystal fusion stage can be achieved by the medicine, so you need to be fast if you want to get your first rule quickly.”
“I know.” Selena nodded.
“Have you ever regretted being with me? You might end up becoming so strong that your father might worship you, you know?” Nathan smiled wryly.
If she really became a goddess, she would definitely be worshiped. After all, she could be considered the next progenitor.
“At that time, I will be more interested in Flora and Sera.”
“Well…” Nathan couldn’t deny that possibility.
Flora came from a royal family. The Azilia Royal family would definitely claim that their bloodline had a link to a goddess. The same applied to the Holy Kingdom. Rather than a god they couldn’t see, they would be worshiping Sera.
