Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1581: Nyx

Chapter 1581: Nyx
The magic circle emitted a powerful wave of energy and shook the entire area. If they hadn’t cleaned up the area, the aliens would have sensed it and started swarming them from all directions.
Nathan stood in front of Iris, protecting her, as she was currently the weakest.
The summoning of this goddess seemed to create even more of a scene than any other gods.
The summoning circle shone brightly and shot a small black pillar into the sky.
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes. Xolotl and Garuda raised their guards to the limit.
What Nathan felt from this power made him feel like he hadn’t given Alavenya the best possible familiar.
He thought it would be good to do it step by step, but he felt like Alavenya urgently needed Shiva, the God of Destruction.
Knowing the legend of Shiva, Nathan believed Shiva was one of the few gods that could actually rival Nyx.
Even Xolotl and Garuda instinctively felt the difference in their power.
Even though both of them were already true gods, they felt like they couldn’t win if they fought whoever Selena had just summoned.
Garuda muttered, “Master…”
Garuda thought of one more possible person who could fight this person. It was Vishnu, the person he had once served. Of course, Garuda also believed Nathan had the chance to become as strong as, if not stronger than, his former master.
Nevertheless, the summoning circle still released a massive amount of ena.
“Master.” Iris tucked Nathan’s sleeve while pointing up.
Nathan raised his head and saw the sky had turned completely dark as if the night had been engulfed by complete darkness. The stars in the sky disappeared.
Then, the dark sky released another wave of power and sent it back to the summoning circle to form a humanoid body.
The black energy started to turn into particles that dispersed in all directions as the human figure within it stepped outside like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon.
The woman had long black hair and jet-black eyes. Her skin was pale, but her aura was otherworldly.
She wore a plain white dress. The skirt in front was short, but the back of the skirt was long and flowing.
Her gaze was calm. There didn’t seem to be any arrogance or hostility, unlike Gaia after Vivian summoned her.
Rather, there was a trace of curiosity, as though she were wondering what had happened all this time.
“I have come forth upon your summoning. No, I should be thankful that you summoned me to this era. It looks like the Summoners War project has been successful.”
“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes. “What?”
They had heard about the Summoners War that the aliens devised. Cthulhu explained it clearly.
But it looked like Nathan was the only one who understood the significance of this plan.
Nyx actually smiled as if she had been waiting for that reaction. “I see. So, you are the one. It looks like you understand the reason for this Summoners War. And your karma… I see. I’ve always thought that the chance is zero, but it looks like you might make the difference.”
Selena tilted her head in confusion.
Nathan’s expression turned grim.
Nyx first turned to Selena. “I guess I will have to introduce myself first. I am Nyx, the personification of the night. Being able to summon me is enough to tell me enough about your talent. The condition I’ve set to summon me is to have a certain level of talent after all.
“Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that we will be chatting anytime soon because there is a story that all the people here need to hear first.”
Selena nodded in understanding. The matter that surprised even Nathan was definitely their priority.
Xolotl and Garuda turned serious. It looked like they were missing out on a lot of things.
Nyx first asked Nathan. “How much do you know about the Summoners War?”
Nathan contemplated for a minute before starting his explanation. “The aliens came to this world to create summoners. There were three instances where they could turn the situation around against the black cell.
“The first time happened five hundred years ago, right now is the second chance, and the last chance will come three hundred years later.
“One of the Outer Gods on their side has prepared a plan to defeat the black cell, including the current host of the black cell, Azathoth.
“That’s the gist of the situation. I guess I am the current chance.”
Nyx asked another question. “In that case, what do you think about the current situation?”
“Quite hopeless.” Nathan shook his head helplessly. “I know Yog-Sothoth is going to come to this world. I won’t be strong enough to face him, so I have to run.
“However, I’m not going to escape in a simple manner and let Yog-Sothoth descend into this world. I don’t want this world to be destroyed.
“So, my plan is to go to another world. That means I first have to form the divine body as quickly as possible before heading to another world.
“Yog-Sothoth will end up descending in another world, indirectly protecting this world.
“During the chase, I will continue to get stronger until I’m strong enough to face Yog-Sothoth.
“Then, continue to the black cell and its host. That’s the gist of my plan.”
“It looks like you are indeed the chance. Not only do you possess that huge amount of karma, but you also possess a dazzling intellect.” Nyx nodded in satisfaction.
This was the first time they heard Nathan’s plan in such detail. Selena couldn’t really come up with a better strategy. It was good enough that Nathan considered the safety of this world.
Iris, on the other hand, felt a bit scared. She had been working hard, but she never thought they would be fighting against a being that could literally destroy their world.
Nyx asked, “Is this all you have?”
“No. There are seven other people with similar strength.” Nathan stepped forward. “I think that’s enough for me. I respect you as a goddess, but I’m not here to be interrogated. Can you also share your side of the story?”
“Of course.” Nyx didn’t feel offended.
Nathan thought Nyx would be arrogant just like other gods from this mythology, especially with the fact that she was one of the strongest.
Nyx raised one finger. “I don’t know everything, but I know the ’Summoners War.’ It was a project that I personally participated in.”
