“Cease the needless worry, the Leander Family will not dare to attack u—”
“Lord Vexarion!”
Before Vexarion could even complete his sentence, another subordinate barged in with a horrified look on his face and—
“I-It is the Leander Family!!”
Vexarion narrowed his eyes. Ythric, who saw his expression, knew that things wouldn’t end well for the new one.
What Vexarion hated the most was being interrupted, and to interrupt him in such a rude manner…
There was no way he would let this go.

“What is it?”
And just as Ythric expected, Vexarion questioned with a calm look on his face, not showing any signs of anger or frustration.
“T-The Leander Family!”
The new subordinate began with a stutter,
“Elythion, Vespera, Iridis, Eosphora, and Lumina, a-all five of them were destroyed by the Leander Family!”
“What!?”
Vexarion’s eyes widened in shock. The Halo above his head started flickering.
“Y-Yes!”
The subordinate nodded,
“We were contacted by Lumina, they sought our aide, but by the time we could even realize what happened, their Transcendent Leaders had all perished and they were then attacked by enemy worlds!
The same happened with the other four, just that the other four didn’t even get to contact us.
The only thing left behind in their land was the Leander Family Sigil!”
“…they dared to attack us?”
Vexarion couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
Ythric too, had frozen in fear. What he was dreading happened. The Leander Family… they were now working against them.
And to think they managed to crush their strongest subordinate worlds before they even had the chance to call for reinforcements.
Ythric’s body trembled.
He had met the leaders of those worlds more than once, he knew how strong they were. Honestly, every single one of them could easily crush him in a battle and yet…
To think they fell that quickly…
Just what kind of opponent did they face!?
He wondered in his head.
This was the most annoying part about facing the Leander Family. Nothing was known about them—who were they, where they came from, how strong they were, where is their current base—nothing.
They had no information about them.
It was like these people came out of nowhere and started terrorizing Factions that once ruled over the Universe.
It was horrifying how they cornered Khaemorr’s Faction and how they couldn’t do anything against them.
And now…
They were facing the same threat.
Ythric was scared.
Things were completely out of their control, and he did not like this feeling.
’Why!? Why suddenly change targets!? Did they make a deal with Khaemorr!? But how!? I have been trying to get in touch with them, but I haven’t gotten any answers yet. How did Khaemorr manage to contact them!?’
There were countless questions in his head.
And suddenly,
Knock Knock
Another knock was heard.
A knock, that for some reason, made Ythric feel uneasy. He turned towards the Gate, and from there, a slightly nervous voice was heard.
“Lord Justice, I bring news.”
“Come in.”
Vexarion ordered. Once again, Ythric could sense his annoyance.
This time, however, it wasn’t the man’s fault. He had followed the correct procedure—knocking and informing why he came here was indeed the standard and most nonthreatening way to address the situation,
It was just that…
In the current scenario, nothing worked.
Vexarion was already annoyed, no…
He was angry.
Of course, the subordinate did not know that. At his Lord’s command, he walked in and knelt, ready to report.
“Speak.”
Vexarion ordered.
“Worlds from Khaemorr’s Faction that turned towards us no longer exist; they were devoured out of existence.”

Plus, if there was any information, he knew his subordinate would have reported it if he didn’t wish to die.

He was sure of it.

Another knock was heard.
In an instant, the entire Hall turned dead silent. Vexarion and all his subordinates turned towards the Gate, prepared for another bad news.

I bring news.”
A nervous voice was heard.
Vexarion stared at Ythric, who prepared himself and ordered,
“Come in.”
He had to give it all to not stutter like the rest of them. He could not show any weakness, not here, not in front of them.
Composure was important,

“Khaemorr declared an all-out War on us.”
The subordinate reported with a grim look on his face. Of course, this news itself wasn’t something big. They were already at war with Khaemorr—redeclaring war would normally have felt like nothing more than a desperate attempt to raise their own morale. It meant that the enemy was breaking; it was something to be celebrated.
But the very fact that the subordinate sounded this nervous while reporting the matter told Ythric that the news that the Leander Family was after them had already spread.
’To think that a mere mercenary party would have this much effect on the people of a High-Level World.’
It was absurd.
“What did they say?”
Ythric questioned.
He already had a rough idea in his head. The timing of everything was too synchronized for it to be just a coincidence, but somewhere in his head, he wanted it to be just that,
A coincidence.
But…
“They say that they do not desire pointless deaths.
They offer a direct Death Battle between Lord Justice and their Leader, Sharnoth Nocthys.
All of this would stop no matter the outcome of this battle.”
