Chapter 2160 Do not expect results which you yourself cannot produce.
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE
THUNDER THUNDER THUNDER
“What!? Again!?”
Serion widened his eyes in horror as he stared in a random direction. Around him was the endless void and multiple asteroids trembling violently, representing the universe’s anger.
Yes.
It happened again.
The universe was angry—another world had disappeared.
Serion too was no longer in Gracevale; he had already searched the entire world, read the memories of every single being present there, but the results were disappointing.
Nothing.
They found absolutely nothing about the enemy.
It was as if he appeared, attacked, took the Eternals, and disappeared.
What’s worse?
He was now committing far worse crimes than simply abducting Eternals.
Bzzz
While Serion, together with five other Light Borns following him, was moving toward one of the worlds that had disappeared in order to investigate—his call artifact trembled.
It was ‘Lord Light’.
Serion picked up the call—
“Which one is it this time?”
He questioned. The other five Light Borns noticed how the respect in his tone had disappeared—an act that would instantly incinerate him if it was before, but now…
Instead of losing his temper and reacting violently, Lord Light informed,
[This time, i-it is not just one this time.
Three High-Level Worlds have disappeared.]
“What…?”
His words instantly made Serion and the others widen their eyes in absolute horror.
They had long gotten used to talking to Lord Light in such a tone. They weren’t fools—they all knew the being they were talking to was no Lord Light, but a mere representative, a representative who himself was in quite a difficult position now that things had gone south.
If anything, right now, the so-called ‘Lord Light’ needed them the most. There was no way he would lose his temper over them talking to him in such a tone.
Honestly, if it were normal times, this would have been a moment all six of them would have enjoyed thoroughly—a being who ordered them around as if they were his dogs, now trembling and stuttering right in front of them.
Who would not find pleasure in such things?
But…
Right now, the words ‘Lord Light’ said were too heavy, too impactful for their minds to even think about enjoying the moment.
If anything, they were all losing their minds.
After all, it was already—
[T-The enemy has already devoured fifteen High-Level Worlds!]
Lord Light shouted, his voice panicking, reflecting the horror he was currently going through.
Fifteen High-Level Worlds!
Of course, this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. In fact, in the past, similar things had happened at an even greater scale—but the thing was…
That happened during the Faction Wars—wars where the Supreme Factions went all out against each other, to the point even the High-Level Worlds were affected and hundreds of them perished.
But…
Everything that happened back then took thousands of years.
But now…
Fifteen High-Level Worlds had disappeared in a mere few hours.
This was… absolutely ridiculous.
What’s worse?
They still had no lead.
The enemy was nowhere to be seen.
[Serion!]
Lord Light shouted.
[You need to get your act together! Collect yourself and find the enemy, or it will be the end of both of us!!]
At those words, however, a cold look appeared on Serion’s face.
“Don’t threaten me.”
He spoke in a calm but heavy, harsh tone.
[W-What…?]
Lord Light’s voice shook, as if he couldn’t believe what just happened.
“I said do not threaten me.”
Serion repeated.
“The enemy is too mysterious, his ways are beyond what we can currently comprehend. He does not leave any traces when he moves; there is no pattern in his movements for us to track him.
It is impossible to find and capture him.
We do not have the means.
Yet my men are still giving their all. They have flipped the entire universe apart in order to search for the enemy, and they will find him eventually—
But you need to give me and them some time.
Do not expect results which you yourself cannot produce.”
Saying those words, Serion cut off the communication and stored the Call Artifact back in his dimensional storage.
Then, without wasting his time, he stared in the direction he was moving and—
“Move.”
He ordered.
The other Light Borns around him nodded and followed him without asking further questions. Their goal was already clear in their heads.
…
On the other side, inside a chamber that glowed with soft, endless light, sat a being of light.
He had no face, no eyes, no solid form. His body was shaped like a man, yet he seemed made of pure light. His glow shifted between gold and white, even the sacred marble beneath him hummed, unable to bear his presence in silence.
This was… ‘Lord Light’, currently sitting in the Hall of Radiance—the most sacred place within the Light Temple—a room where even sound dared not disturb the air.
Every inch of it shimmered with purity. The walls, made of living crystal, pulsed faintly with gold and white hues. Golden inscriptions flowed across the surfaces in quiet motion, retelling stories of the universe’s creation and the first dawn that gave birth to the Supreme World of Light.
At the far end of the hall stood the only statue ever permitted within the temple—a statue carved entirely from pure sunlight crystal. She stood with her hands gently raised toward the heavens, her expression calm and kind, her eyes closed in eternal peace. The light around her shimmered softly, as if the temple itself still breathed through her memory.
At the center stood a circular platform of white marble, smooth as still water. Around it, hundreds of tall pillars rose like frozen sunbeams. Above, a halo of light drifted endlessly, rotating so slowly it seemed to stop time itself.
Lord Light sat at the very center. In front of him floated a large orb.
The orb pulsed softly with golden light—it was the Orb of Communion, a relic used by the Supreme World of Light to speak across endless distances. Its surface was smooth like glass, and inside it swirled tens of thousands of living stars—each one a link to another Light Born.
And from the orb came a voice—
[Do not expect results which you yourself cannot produce.]
It was Serion’s.
And when Lord Light realized what had happened and noticed how the star representing Serion dulled a little, showing that he had ended the connection—
“W-What…?”
He couldn’t believe what happened.
Did… did that child just cut off the communication with him?
