System's POV - Chapter 1084: I Guess I’ll Speed Things Up A Bit

Chapter 1084: I Guess I’ll Speed Things Up A Bit
“Fools,” Zapar muttered as he walked along the streets of Velmusa City.
It was one of Cygni Continent’s largest city, boasting nearly twelve thousand square kilometers in area. And the one the Jinns had picked to become their temporary home during their stay in the world of Pangea.
Despite belonging from different factions in the Order of the Apocalypse, Thirteen and Zapar collaborated to put the Jinns in check, mainly leveraging Zapar’s ability.
If he were being honest, the Majin Prince found the prospect of teaming up with Zion to keep his rivals in check rather amusing.
Harming their fellow members from the secret order was against the rules, so Zapar couldn’t make a move against Zion and Camazotz—not that he had any intention of doing so anyway.
In any case, his goal in this new world was to become one of Cygni Continent’s Overlords.
Zion already promised this to him, the former even saying that his ultimate goal was for the Jinns and the Wanderers to live side by side, so they could team up against an opponent so strong, it would force the two races to collaborate.
When Zapar asked Zion who this opponent was, the teenage boy only shook his head since he still wasn’t sure about their identity.
Thirteen was a System, so he understood that there would always be an End Game Final Boss in each world.
A Demon Lord, an Ancient Evil, a Forgotten God… the list goes on and on.
Thus, he understood why the God of the Wanderers, The One, was so insistent on having the Wanderers fight themselves—a threat was looming and would soon reach their very doorstep.
’Well, with Zion gone, I guess I’ll just have to wing this mission myself,’ Zapar thought as he crossed the street, using his powers to affect any women he came across with.
The succubus race was the perfect race to use his powers on since all of them were women.
Even Ristella had not been spared, though he did not touch Princess Laventia and Princess Xynalia as per Thirteen’s request.
Back then, the teenage boy didn’t know if Ristella would be cooperative or not, so putting her under Zapar’s influence was a must. The two princesses might have the most say, but their aunt was still a decision maker for the Velmoria Faction.
It had been nearly a week since the battle between the Jinns and the Artemians ended.
He had also participated in that war and made sure to use his powers to infect the Artemian Ladies with his “suggestions”.
Suddenly, a beeping sound reached his ear, making him look at his communicator.
The name that was flashing on it was Zion, but Zapar knew that the young lady was still unconscious.
He moved to a more private location before accepting the call.
“Did something happen, Tiona?” Zapar inquired as he looked at the young lady who contacted him.
“I just called to ask how the operation is going?” Tiona inquired.
Since she was now the manager of Zion’s forces, she was also up to date with the collaboration between Zapar and her Master.
“It’s progressing well,” Zapar replied. “But it will still take some time before I manage to influence the rest of the women from the Jinn Factions.”
The succubus of the Velmoria Faction could freely wander in the territories of the other Jinns because they were a “neutral” party.
Lastly, everyone liked to see beautiful women, so they were welcomed anywhere.
However, Zapar was only one person, and he could only cover so much area in a day.
“Understood.” Tiona nodded in understanding. “My demons are still in the city, so if I am unable to contact you through the communicator, they will contact you in my place.”
Zapar smiled. “How is Zion? Are there any changes?”
“No.” Tiona shook her head. “It’s still the same.”
Rocky had found a good hiding place at the North of the Continent and was currently staying there for the time being.
Princess Laventia and Princess Xynalia spent most of their time using the communicator to check the news about the continent, as well as talk to the people who could keep their secret safe.
Princess Laventia would chat with Roland, while Princess Xynalia would talk to their Aunt, Ristella.
Tiona had deemed that it was important to inform their Aunt that they were safe, so the latter wouldn’t do anything reckless.
However, Ristella still didn’t inform the Dragonkin Prince about her nieces, cunningly still using their disappearance as leverage against Prince Aurelion.
Because of this, the Dragonkin Prince couldn’t forcefully order the Velmoria Faction to do anything. He simply couldn’t absolve himself from blame for what happened during the banquet.
“Still, I think the influence I planted is enough to proceed with the next step of our plan,” Zapar commented. “Or should we wait until the Artemians are dealt with first?”
“Let’s wait until the Artemians are dealt with first,” Tiona replied without hesitation.
Right now, the Artemians posed a greater threat than the Jinns. At this point, they must be more desperate than ever before.
Ever since they retreated, after having lost nearly half of their forces in the war against the Jinns, they had yet to leave a single trace.
This also meant that they were free to do whatever they needed to do without being found out by anyone.
“If anything happens, I’ll contact you again,” Tiona said. “Goodluck to you.”
“And to you as well,” Zapar replied.
After ending the call, Zapar smirked. The teenage boy was sure lucky and unlucky at the same time.
Lucky because many extraordinary ladies were drawn to Zion.
Unlucky because having more lovers also had its fair share of troubles.
That was just how the world worked, and only an exceptional man could handle so many exceptional ladies in his life.
“I guess I’ll speed things up a bit,” Zapar muttered before disappearing from the alley.
He understood that the sooner he finished his mission, the better his position in the Cygni Continent would be after Zion, Camazotz, and he had succeeded in weeding away the Jinns who were not beneficial to their rule.
———
Northern Part of the Cygni Continent…
The Artemians who fled from the east had headed north.
They had met up with the researchers who had been away when the Head Researchers and the other researchers had disappeared from the facility.
Once the situation was fully understood, they voted to appoint a temporary Head Researcher. The role went to a man named Victor.
While he may not be as experienced as the former Head Researcher of the Artemians, he was still a genius among geniuses.
In fact, he was being groomed to become the next Head Researcher after the one whom Rocky had captured retires.
This same researcher then went to find Lucan, who was currently resting in his underground room that the Azothralls had built for him.
“Commander, I did it!” Victor said with excitement. “I did it!”
“What did you do?” Lucan frowned.
The Artemian Commander looked haggard, which was a stark contrast to what he looked like a week ago.
“I found her,” Victor said as he handed the artifact that he had just finished making. “I found the succubus princess who holds the power of the bloodline of the royal family of Chandrea.”
Lucan, who was holding the round metallic object in his hands, was looking at the golden blinking dot, which represented Zia.
To his surprise, their current location was only a hundred miles away from where the blinking dot was.
This made Lucan look at Victor in surprise.
“Can this reading be trusted?” Lucan inquired, not wanting to raise his hopes too high.
“Yes, Sir,” Victor replied without hesitation. “I have the blood sample, as well as the data of the Chandrean Royal Family. It is very easy for me to make something like this.”
“Good!” Lucan patted the man’s shoulder. “If Princess Zia is really in this place, you will be rewarded for your great contribution to our cause.”
Without further hesitation, Lucan summoned Azoh’Karn, the leader of the Azothralls, and instructed him to assemble half of the Rank 8 units to accompany him in taking Zia back.
Since there was a chance that the Jinns might attack their base, Lucan decided to leave the other Golden Azothrall, as well as the remaining Rank 8 Sovereigns at their base to keep it safe from any sudden attacks.
Soon, a team of twelve left the underground base and drilled underground to the location where the blinking dot was located.
’You can run, princess, but you can’t hide,’ Lucan smiled faintly as he continued to look at the unmoving blinking dot that was found at the top right corner of the screen of the radar artifact that Victor had created.
The path to becoming a High Archon, and perhaps a Celestial, had once escaped from his grasp.
But now that a second opportunity had arrived, Lucan would make sure that the young lady who had haunted his dreams would no longer be able to escape her fate of becoming his tool to rule over the world of Pangea.
