Chapter 1132: The Cavalry Has Arrived [Part 1]
The moment Prince Aurelion and Commander Dravon saw the Death Bat make a move, they also mobilized to intercept him.
Knowing the level of threat Camazotz posed, they knew better than to let him freely fight on the battlefield.
Fortunately, the Death Bat shifted his attention to them after killing a few small fries, ignoring the rest of the Dragonkin Army and heading straight for the Prince and their Commander.
The Naga Patriarch, who had prepared a countermeasure against Camazotz, started chanting.
His subordinates followed suit, creating a giant magic circle that encompassed the battlefield, targeting a single Majin Prince with their spell.
“Ngh!” Camazotz’s eyes widened in shock as he felt his body suddenly turn heavy.
Before he could understand what was happening, Prince Aurelion’s spear and Commander Dravon’s sword had already descended upon him. It was their attempt to kill the greatest threat on the battlefield with a single blow.
Fortunately, Thirteen had warned him—that his enemies might have found a way to counter his speed, so Camazotz had long readied himself to unleash one of his trump cards.
“Blood Mist!” Camazotz roared as the spear and sword pierced through his body.
Prince Aurelion and Commander Dravon immediately felt something was wrong upon sensing no sign of resistance after their attacks had landed on the Death Bat’s body.
And they were right. Camazotz exploded into a blood mist in time, forcing the two Dragonkins to distance themselves from their enemy.
The blood mist retreated a hundred meters away before it reformed into the Death Bat, who was just a second away from dying.
Not to mention, his body still felt heavy from the spell that the Nagas had solely focused on him.
’That was a close call,’ Camazotz couldn’t help but frown as he gazed at the two Dragonkins, who realized that the Death Bat had simply used a life-saving ability to dodge their surprise attack.
“Die!” Prince Aurelion roared as he blitzed through the sky like a lightning bolt, not wanting to give his foe a chance to escape.
Commander Dravon had also lunged at their foe, making sure that his combined attack with his prince would finish Camazotz once and for all.
And just as they neared their enemy, they suddenly encountered a barrier that took them a few seconds to break.
Virelax, the Prism Peacock of House Pavareth, had erected a barrier, which even a Rank 9 Sovereign would find difficult to destroy.
Unfortunately, it only managed to buy a few seconds from the combined attack of two Majin Princes.
But that was enough for Camazotz to prepare for his strongest attack.
His arm blazed with a red aura that sent chills running down Prince Aurelion’s and Commander Dravon’s spine.
They understood that it was a killing blow, and unless they managed to block it properly, one of them was going to die.
“Vortex Blow!”
Camazotz’s punch shot out faster than the speed of sound, the rumble barely following as the Death Bat flew in Prince Aurelion’s direction.
Faced with an attack that he wouldn’t be able to block easily, the Prince gritted his teeth and transformed into his Dragon Form.
This exchange happened within the span of a second.
A moment later, a giant golden dragon roared in pain as it was blasted away from the sky, spilling golden blood that blazed like flames.
A death blow from a Peak Majin Prince like Camazotz was not something that could easily be defended, even with the use of sturdy armor or magical defenses.
Commander Dravon hesitated for a few seconds before he chose to finish off Camazotz instead of checking if his prince was safe.
He believed that Prince Aurelion would understand if he prioritized killing their foe.
In fact, it would be a wasted opportunity if he didn’t do so!
Camazotz had poured a good portion of his strength in that attack, so he wouldn’t be able to recover quickly.
Still, in the face of Commander Dravon’s blazing sword, the Death Bat only smirked and activated his second trump card.
The Legendary Armor that Thirteen had made for him glowed bloody red as it received the Commander’s deadly strike.
Blood spilled from Camazotz’s chest, but the same thing happened to Commander Dravon as well, taking the latter by surprise.
The Death Bat didn’t miss that opportunity and spun his body mid-air, delivering a clawed strike to the general, who was momentarily dazed from the pain after the Peak Majin Prince’s armor reflected his attack.
Five red claws drew blood as they dug deeper into the Dragonkin Commander’s chest.
The Death Bat had planned to crush the Dragonkin Commander’s heart, but his foe was already in the middle of transforming into his original form, a giant red dragon.
While Camazotz’s attack did manage to pierce deep inside his opponent’s body, it wasn’t able to reach the heart.
Out of desperation, a dragon tail slapped the Death Bat away, sending Camazotz flying backward.
But due to the reflection ability of the Death Bat’s armor, Commander Dravon was also blown away by his own attack, crashing onto the Jinn Alliance on the ground.
The Death Bat didn’t fare any better after slamming against the base of the Planar Mountain Range, creating a crater that spanned hundreds of meters on the ground.
Zed hurriedly descended from the sky and grabbed the injured Majin Prince, taking him away to safety.
As Zed carried the barely conscious Camazotz away from the collapsing mountain ridge, he couldn’t help but curse under his breath.
“Damn lunatic… you always take it too far.”
Camazotz coughed out blood but still managed a crooked grin. “If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be me.”
The two had known each other for a while since Zed had stayed in the Domain of the Apocalypse for quite some time.
Because of this, the two formed a connection, similar to a brotherhood.
However, none of them would admit such a thing.
Zed’s eyes narrowed as he glanced back.
Prince Aurelion had not yet returned to the battlefield, but Commander Dravon had crashed into the ranks of the Jinn Alliance, sowing confusion and panic. Even when heavily injured, a Dragonkin Commander was a threat to be reckoned with.
“Focus, Zed,” Camazotz muttered, his vision swimming. “They’re not dead. I just bought us time.”
“I know.” Zed’s grip tightened. “But time’s the most valuable thing right now.”
Meanwhile, the Naga Patriarch gritted his teeth in frustration.
“The Death Bat’s tougher than expected,” the Naga hissed, his tail coiling in agitation. “Increase the spell pressure! Do not let him regain mobility!”
But the mages under him were already struggling. The spell designed to suppress Camazotz was massive in scale and incredibly draining. Holding it for too long could collapse their entire formation’s magic network.
Zed was the fastest flying monster in Thirteen’s Monster Army. But due to the spell imposed upon Camazotz, which increased the gravity affecting him by five times, the Demihuman Roc felt as if he was lifting the entire world in his hands.
Just as he thought that things couldn’t get any worse, a thunderous roar reached his ears.
A massive golden dragon shot back into the sky, his wings burning with furious golden flames.
His body was heavily wounded, but his eyes burned with a rage that could melt steel.
Prince Aurelion’s gaze landed on Zed and Camazotz, then he lunged in their direction.
No matter what happened, he needed to end his mortal enemy’s life before he could recover!
Suddenly, a golden blur collided with the Golden Dragon, making the Dragonkin Prince roar in anger and pain.
Zia smiled faintly after seeing the newcomer. “It’s about time you showed yourself.”
The one who arrived was the Golden Azothrall, Azoh’Karn, whose rank had been elevated to that of an Archon.
But it wasn’t only he who appeared in this battle.
As if announcing their arrival, several black Azothralls emerged from the ground and attacked the rear of the Jinn Alliance, causing panic among their ranks.
Seeing this unexpected development, Princess Fiora didn’t hesitate to command her elite units to fight off the Artemian Army, which had shamelessly attacked them from behind.
