Chapter 1133: The Cavalry Has Arrived [Part 2]
The sudden arrival of the Artemian Army shifted the tide of battle.
The black Azothralls, which were biologically engineered purely for battle, surged like a tidal wave through the Jinn Alliance’s rear lines.
Their obsidian-like carapaces shimmered with a sinister glow, their movements fluid and unstoppable as they tore through formations with ruthless precision.
Not much time had passed since that incident—when the Jinn Alliance had attacked the Artemian Main Headquarters, wiping out nearly half of the Artemian Army.
The Artemians hadn’t forgotten that disgrace, and now, they had come to make the arrogant Dragonkin Prince pay for his insolence.
The Artemians, who looked like winged angels, descended from the sky like the army of Heaven out for blood!
The Jinn mages who had been maintaining the suppressive spell on Camazotz faltered, their focus shattered as the rear ranks collapsed into chaos.
“Naga Patriarch! The rear is compromised!” one of the Naga Mages shouted.
The Patriarch’s expression twisted in fury. “Reinforce the rear! Do not let them breach the spell circle!”
But it was too late.
The spell netting around Camazotz flickered, the gravitational pressure weakening as more mages were forced to disengage and defend themselves.
Zed, feeling the oppressive weight lessen, flapped his wings and shot upward, gaining precious altitude as he carried the wounded Majin Prince to safety.
Prince Aurelion, however, wasn’t willing to let his prey escape.
As one who possessed the Royal Bloodline of the Dragonkin Empire, one of his abilities was Super Regeneration.
However, it couldn’t heal all injuries in the span of just a few seconds.
While it did speed up his regeneration, the damage done to him by Camazotz contained a chaotic energy that prevented the Golden Dragon from recovering right away.
The wounds were slowly closing, but his golden blood still rained from the sky, searing not only the ground with golden flames, but also those unlucky enough to get hit by it.
With a roar that echoed across the battlefield, the golden dragon prepared to give chase, but was stopped dead in his tracks.
Azoh’Karn, the newly ascended Archon, slammed into him once more, his fist colliding with Prince Aurelion’s draconic jaw, sending the prince spiraling back.
“You filthy abomination, how dare you block my path?!” Prince Aurelion roared in fury.
“I don’t dare,” Azoh’Karn replied, cracking his neck. “I choose to.”
The two clashed, their blows sending shockwaves and golden sparks flying in every direction.
On the ground, the Wanderers, Skavari, and the Artemian Army fought as one. Though chaotic in appearance, their combined assault pressed the Jinn Alliance into a corner they hadn’t anticipated.
“The cavalry has arrived,” Zia muttered.
But even though their side now had the advantage in this war, she couldn’t help but feel that something didn’t seem right.
It was as if something was watching them… and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
She kept her eyes peeled in the battlefield, paying close attention to Erica, who was sending fireballs left and right from the base of the mountain.
The Hero Party was also fighting not far from her.
The same could also be said for Char and Clark, who maade sure to completely cover each other’s backs.
As the System of Cannon Fodders, Thirteen had seen many instances where a third party would suddenly appear, causing a war to break out in utter chaos.
The Artemians, who were supposed to be the third party, were on their side right now.
Technically, all the major players were present in the battlefield, so there should be no reason for her to feel a nagging sensation at the back of her head.
Everyone had joined the battle, including the Succubus Race, who were using spells to overwhelm their enemies in battle.
The only monsters remaining at the peak of the mountain were his Insect Army, who had momentarily stopped their bombardment lest it accidentally hit their allies in battle.
Prince Aurelion, Commander Dravon, and Princess Fiora were fighting desperately in order to control the situation.
As Zia scanned the battlefield, the feeling of danger intensified.
She could also feel her body feeling hot, as if her bloodline was once again stirring.
Then, it happened.
“Zia, watch out!”
Princess Aracelle instantaneously transformed into her Phoenix form in order to protect Zia from the enemy who had suddenly popped up from their rear lines.
But a second later, the Phoenix screeched in pain as an Archon’s attack hit her body, causing her to fall from the peak of the mountain.
Sherry summoned her Adamantium Falcon, Ace, and her Armored Blade Panther, Mors, to defend them from the Golden Azothrall, Azoh’Ran, who only obeyed Lucan’s orders.
Unfortunately, the two Avatars weren’t even able to buy them even a few seconds as they were instantly killed by the Golden Azothrall, whose mission was to capture Zia.
Sherry tried to use her body to shield Thirteen from the Golden Azothrall.
However, she suddenly found herself being thrown off the mountain by Zia herself to save her from the fate of dying in Azoh’Ran’s hands.
The Golden Azothrall didn’t say anything else and simply grabbed Zia before flying away at full speed.
While it looked like Azoh’Ran was escaping from the battlefield, the truth was that it had no intention of doing that.
Evuvug had hurriedly sent a desperate message to those who had the black beetles with them and told them that Zia had been captured.
Arthur, Camazotz, Zapar, and the other powerhouses of the Wanderers all looked at the fleeing Azoh’Karn in shock.
“Damn it!” Camazotz tried to stand up in order to pursue Zion, but his injuries were too severe for him to pursue their enemy.
Also, even if he did, he would simply be offering himself to die since the enemy was also an Archon and had the same strength as him.
Zapar knew that Thirteen couldn’t be lost, so he stopped fighting against the Rank 9 Sovereign to pursue the golden Azothrall.
Prince Valen had heard his sister’s cry for help, so he returned to the Planar Mountain to check her condition.
On the other hand, Sherry was caught by a Giant Killer Bee, as Zia had ordered Evuvug to save her before she was taken away by Azoh’Karn.
The battlefield once again descended into chaos as some of the high-ranking fighters of humanity and the Jinns mobilized to rescue Zia.
This allowed the Jinn Alliance to take a breather and organize their army, which had suffered from the sneak attack of the Artemian Army.
