System's POV - Chapter 1134: Calamity’s Descent [Part 1]

Chapter 1134: Calamity’s Descent [Part 1]
Everything happened so fast that no one was able to react in time.
The Wanderers and the Jinns were too focused on fighting each other, so no one had monitored the happenings at the peaks of the Planar Mountain Range.
Because of this, they only realized that Zia had been taken away by Azoh’Ran after the latter had already managed to get a headstart on its escape.
After escaping with Lucan, the Golden Azothrall’s rank had been raised to Archon. Seeing that the timing was perfect, the former Artemian Commander had ordered Azoh’Ran to infiltrate the battlefield and steal an individual.
The capture target was none other than Zia, who possessed the Chandrean Royal Bloodline.
Even Prince Aurelion and Azoh’Karn, who were fighting each other momentarily, backed away to better understand the situation.
The Artemians who saw their former ally didn’t know how to feel or what to do at the moment.
They had allied with the Wanderers, and yet, one of their strongest fighters had captured Zia.
Truth be told, they still had plans to capture the young lady after the war ended. But now, she had been taken away by none other than Azoh’Ran.
The Artemians glanced at their current Commander, Lysander, who was giving out orders from the rear of their army.
“Sir, what are we going to do?” Lysander’s Aide asked.
“Damn that Lucan!” Lysander gritted his teeth in anger. “Just what is he thinking?!”
He was certain that the person responsible for the continent-wide jamming of advanced weapons was Lucan, and now, he was messing up the war between the Jinns, which was currently in their favor!
“Just focus on the war!” Lysander ordered. “Ignore Azoh’Ran for now!”
That was the only decision he could make right now.
Ultimately, whatever Lucan’s goal was, it would always be aimed at the benefit of the Artemians.
They might have their differences, but they shared the same mindset.
“Grand Marshal, stay here and continue to command the army!” Arthur shouted. “I’ll go and save Zia!”
Without even waiting for the Grand Marshal’s reply, Arthur urged his flying avatar to pursue the Golden Azothrall.
Lawrence knew he couldn’t leave the battlefield to save their Supreme Commander, so he gritted his teeth and urged everyone to annihilate the enemy as fast as possible!
As Azoh’Ran made its escape, it noticed that Zia seemed calm despite being kidnapped.
She was neither struggling nor trying to break free from its hold.
“You’re surprisingly calm,” Azoh’Ran asked through telepathy “Are you so certain that you’re going to get rescued?”
“I’m not thinking about that,” Zia replied. “I’m more curious where you are taking me.”
“You’re one interesting princess.”
“Thank you.”
The Golden Azothrall didn’t say anything else because it was nearing the place where it needed to deliver Zia.
The young lady saw a life-sized capsule, similar to a healing pod that was slightly hidden from view.
Azoh’Ran placed her inside and closed the lid firmly.
As soon as the lid was closed, Zia felt an electric shock wash over her body, making her grit her teeth in pain.
Lucan, who was hiding more than a mile away, received a message from Azoh’Ran and immediately pressed two buttons in the remote in his hand.
The first button immediately disabled the Continental Jammer, while the other activated the capsule where Zia was currently trapped in.
“Finally!” Lucan laughed. “The tables have turned!”
The capsule had started to activate with the young lady as its power source, harnessing the power of her bloodline.
Zia groaned in pain as the power inside her body went out of control.
A faint ripple of power spread in the surroundings before the capsule unleashed a red beam of light that pierced through the sky.
Red cracks appeared in the heavens, making it seem that the sky was going to shatter and fall on top of everyone’s heads.
The Jinns, Artemians, and the Wanderers momentarily stopped fighting as they looked at this scene on top of them.
As the beam of light intensified, it created a red dimensional gate that expanded like a giant eye in the sky.
“Your Majesty!” Lucan shouted. “I have completed my mission! Hahahaha!”
The former Artemian Commander looked at the five-minute countdown that appeared at the center of the giant red dimensional gate, which meant that whatever was on the other side would be able to cross over after five minutes!
The red beam of light receded, and Zia lay on the capsule unconscious.
Lucan had used the power of her bloodline to directly open a gate that would connect the world of Artem to Pangea, which was one of the tasks that the Artemian King had ordered Lucan to do in the past.
Originally, he didn’t plan to do this as he wished to make Pangea his own domain.
But after losing his original body, he could only grit his teeth and summon his King, so he would be able to more safely regain his authority over the Artemian Army!
’Azoh’Ran, hide the princess’s body!’ Lucan ordered. ’We will offer her to the King later!’
’Yes, Master,’ Azoh’Ran replied as he crouched down to pick the capsule from the ground.
However, before it could do that, a fist connected with the side of its face, which sent it flying.
“Damn you!” Camazotz kneeled on the ground as he pressed his hands over his injuries, which opened up again.
Zed hurriedly grabbed the capsule before flying away.
Azoh’Ran roared with the intention of retrieving Zia, but it stopped in its tracks the moment it saw Camazotz’s glare that was filled with killing intent.
The Death Bat’s right fist was now covered in red flames, ready to deal a killing blow the moment Azoh’Ran pursued Zia.
The golden Azothrall’s instincts were screaming at it to not take another step.
Even though it had the advantage in terms of physical endurance, the Golden Azothrall understood that Camazotz, in his current state, had no intentions of holding back.
The Death Bat was like a walking calamity. He might be wounded, but he was determined to unleash an attack that would likely lead to mutual destruction.
Perhaps Lucan understood what was happening, so he ordered Azoh’Ran to back away and come to his side.
“It doesn’t matter,” Lucan said with confidence. “The moment our King arrives, taking back the princess will just be a walk in the park.”
After getting his order, the Golden Azothrall backed off and flew away, making the Death Bat sigh in relief.
’One problem down,’ Camazotz thought before glancing at the red dimensional gate in the sky. ’A bigger problem awaits.’
With only two minutes remaining on the countdown timer, Camazotz forced himself to fly back to the Planar Mountain Range to get proper treatment for his injuries.
He didn’t know who or what was going to cross over from the dimensional gate, but one thing was clear.
It spelled big trouble.
Something that not even the Death Bat, and Zapar could handle on their own.
———
Planar Mountain Range…
As if coming to an agreement, all sides unanimously agreed to stop fighting to organize their armies.
The sudden appearance of the giant dimensional gate above their heads was something that no one had expected to see.
But the ominous feeling coming from the gate made them feel anxious.
“If this was a game, we would be hearing the Boss Music anytime now,” Vincent said in a serious tone.
“Don’t raise death flags,” Penny commented from the side. “Do you plan to be the first to kick the bucket?”
“Of course not,” Vincent replied. “I’m just saying the obvious.”
When only a minute was left on the countdown timer in the sky, everyone braced themselves for what was about to come.
When the countdown reached zero, an overwhelming presence descended upon the battlefield, making it very hard to breathe.
From within the red portal, creatures that resembled angels poured out like the army of heaven.
Lysander’s eyes widened in shock when he saw the Artemian Banners that his countrymen were carrying, and he cried out in joy.
“It’s the Royal Army!” Lysander shouted. “It’s His Majesty’s Army!”
As the Royal Artemian Army crossed over to Pangea, they immediately formed ranks, hovering in the sky and looking down upon the world as if they were Gods.
Suddenly, golden lightning bolts streaked across the entirety of the red portal.
It was as if the lightning bolts were trying to prevent someone or something from crossing over to Pangea.
The lightning bolts increased in numbers, targeting the center of the red dimensional gate.
As the light intensified, a hand broke through, followed by another.
A resounding crack was heard as a person brute-forced his way out of the gate.
“Finally, I’m here.”
The Artemian King smiled faintly as he gazed down upon the battlefield..
He was none other than King Astrion, who had long wished to conquer another world and step into the ranks of a Celestial.
Upon seeing the Jinn Armies and the Wanderers, the smile on his face widened a bit.
King Astrion raised his hand, and red lightning bolts rained down on the palm of his hand, forming a giant red spear.
“I don’t need pests in my new kingdom,” King Astrion stated before throwing the giant red spear that crackled with power at the Planar Mountain Range.
With the might of a Peak High-Archon, the King of Artem was currently the strongest being in the world of Pangea, and no one had the power to stand in his way.
The Wanderers watched in horror as the red lightning bolt descended upon them.
All of them instinctively knew that no one present could possibly block the attack strong enough to potentially wipe out the entire Planar Mountain Range, obliterating anything within its strike range.
