Chapter 1315: The Bully, and the Bullied [Part 2]
Regulus glanced at the Azothrall that had burst into flames before shifting his gaze to the giant bird circling behind Rana’s shields.
Seeing that there were three girls on the back of the bird, the Celestial narrowed his eyes.
The arrow the young lady had unleashed had managed to shoot through the shields and hit his subordinate directly.
This meant that she could attack them, but they couldn’t attack her back unless they found a way to break the shields that were blocking their way.
“Your girlfriend is strong, Zion,” Rana said in a teasing tone. “Is she the reason why you rejected my proposal that you and my daughter get engaged?”
“Oh, please.” Thirteen fought the strong urge to roll his eyes. “I treat Carina as a little sister. But if you are interested in playing matchmaker, I know a few dependable young men who would be perfect as her boyfriend.”
“Let’s talk about that after we survive this battle,” Rana replied. “Unless your girlfriend can fire more of those arrows, we are stuck in a stalemate.”
Thirteen glanced at the giant wren above their heads before shifting his gaze to the battle being waged inside the city.
Smoke and flames rose in the west and north of the city, and the smell of burned things was thick in the air.
Tiona’s demons were updating him in real time, so he felt a little anxious for Cranky, who was single-handedly fighting the High Archons and Archons, who were using artifacts to worsen his injuries and further weaken him.
’An hour at most,’ Thirteen thought. ’If we can’t reverse the situation in an hour, we will lose this war.’
Suddenly, an arrow streaked across the sky.
Regulus cried out in pain as he was blasted away by Stella’s sneak attack.
’Damn it!’ Regulus cursed internally as his Mythical Grade Armor broke apart.
He had spent a bit of his attention on Stella just in case she decided to attack him while he was trying to destroy Rana’s barrier.
Fortunately, he did that and managed to activate the power of his armor, successfully protecting himself from that deadly strike.
Faced with an annoying opponent, Regulus took out a giant bell from his storage ring.
He had planned to use the bell against King Astrion, but since the latter couldn’t be found anywhere, he decided to use his trump card before the girls riding on top of the giant wren could land a lucky blow against him.
The giant bronze bell hovered beside Regulus and rotated until its base was facing upward, targeting the giant bird in the distance.
“Die!” Regulus roared as he slapped the side of the bell, generating a loud toll that made the Wren’s body uncontrollably shudder.
Maple and Cinnamon screamed in fright as the giant wren, Aethon, suddenly lost consciousness and plummeted from the sky.
Stella hurriedly grabbed her sisters and jumped off the Wren, which was about to crash into the buildings below them.
A pair of angelic wings sprouted from behind Stella’s back, allowing her to hover mid-air.
Just as she thought that the worst was over, Regulus continued to slap the bell, unleashing a ripple of sonic attacks in their direction, which made Stella feel as if her entire body was vibrating.
Blood seeped at the corner of her lips, and her mind seemed to fall into disarray. Even so, her grip, which held her sisters, never loosened as she slowly and stably descended on the ground to land them safely.
“Oh no, you don’t!” Regulus sneered as the bell once again targeted the girls.
This time, he would unleash a stronger attack that would make the bodies of the annoying kids implode.
With practiced movements, he unleashed a barrage of palm strikes at the bell, creating a shockwave that blasted straight toward his targets.
Rana gritted her teeth and jumped between Stella and the sound waves that were about to clash against the children.
As someone who also had a daughter, she couldn’t possibly watch the three young ladies die under her watch.
Although the attack didn’t have any forms for her to see, Rana felt as if she had been hit by a sledgehammer on her chest, which sent her flying.
Cracks formed on the shields that she had erected, which gave the High Archons an opportunity to shatter them completely.
Thirteen glanced at Rana, who seemed to have lost control of her senses due to the sound attack that she had taken head-on.
Maple and Cinnamon looked at their injured sister, who had tried to save them even though she was in great pain.
The two gluttons then glared at Regulus before both of them moved their hands in a circular motion.
A portal appeared in front of them, and a second later, a rainbow-colored anteater crossed over to their side.
“Um? Where am I?” Kazogonaga blinked as it looked around its surroundings.
It was not the only one that crossed over from the portal. There were others just like him.
A demonic dog with one eye.
A white Minotaur.
A Goblin Paladin with its left hand turned into a magical cannon.
These four looked at their surroundings before their gazes landed on Maple, Cinnamon, and the injured Stella, which made all of them gasp in shock.
“Uncle Kazo, Uncle Psoglav, Uncle Erchitu, Uncle Jareth, they are bullying us!” Maple said with tears in their eyes.
“Wuwuwu!” Cinnamon cried. “They are bullying us.”
Kazogonaga, Psoglav, Erchitu, and Jareth all glared hatefully at Regulus, the Artemians, and the Azothralls who hurt their little nieces.
“How dare all of you bully my nieces?!” Kazogonaga angrily stomped its little foot on the ground. “Courting death!”
Psoglav transformed. His originally single eye had increased to three, and devilish wings sprouted behind his back.
The White Minotaur took a step forward and his body grew until he was ten meters tall, wielding a deadly war axe in his hands.
Jareth, the Goblin Paladin, summoned his lightsaber, while the magical cannon that served as his left arm came to life.
All of them were now going to fight, and they would annihilate those who dared to bully their little princesses.
The rainbow-colored Anteater leapt high into the sky.
Although it looked cute and harmless, it was actually the deity of the sky.
The wind shifted, and a storm heed its call.
Strong winds blew, and black clouds gathered. Thunder and lightning wreaked havoc across the heavens as if heralding the end of the world.
Thirteen hurried to check on Stella’s condition, making sure that she wasn’t in any immediate danger.
While this was happening, the rainbow-colored Anteater curled up into a ball.
Sharp steel spikes appeared on its body as its size expanded to become as big as a car.
“I am the Deity of the Sky!” Kazogonaga declared. “I am the protector of the human race! I will not let anyone hurt these children!”
It then spun rapidly in the air, creating sparks as if it were rolling on the ground.
“I’M ROLLING!”
And with that, the Deity of the Sky, as well as his comrades, all charged at the bastards, who had no idea who they messed with.
